Pouch is soft and lightweight, good to wear when walking or going shopping: there's plenty room for money, credit card, keys, cellular,

Everything about this item is as expected and it works fine. I removed the distracting bright green zipper string extensions. I wish the LLBean logo wasn't so terribly prominent. I'll only use this for hiking and camping.

The pack is the perfect size and very comfortable.
I just don't like the lettering it's too big and too much.

This pack is visually attractive and is of quality materials and workmanship. However, the design is poor. The shape of the bag and the short zippers make it very inconvenient. I can't fit my cell phone or an 8oz waterbottle let alone both together. I will be returning.

A good product but a bit small and could use a few more pockets. Needs a better way to store the excess strap.

Seems well made but it's extremely small . Needed for small water bottle but won't fit.

Way too small for my needs. Bought this to replace a Columbia waist pack I had worn out.

This hip pack is larger volume that previous LL Bean pack; however, it has a very shallow front pocket which limits storage volume. The rear pocket is a little difficult to access because of its configuration. Overall, I liked my old LL Bean hip pack which was slightly smaller in total volume, but it was made of more flexible material and designed with easily accessed pockets. Please consider redesigning the new version to address the deficiencies of new hip pack. David

Had high hopes for this pack, but mine was missing a line of reinforcing stitching on one side of the stowaway pocket, leaving a hole in the seam. In-store return process was quick and easy. Ended up ordering a similar pack from a competitor (I wasn't in love with the neon zipper pulls on this one), but quality control aside, this is a nice pack; it's a great size for essentials, has a key clip and zippered pockets for organization, and seems durable.

I wanted to like it, but it just didn't feel comfortable to wear for me!

Well made. I liked the material. It could do with more pockets to help organize the items I put inside the bag.

Two things made this an only 2 star review. First, it had a damaged inner pocket with an unfinished seam that compromised the stowaway feature. I kept it and repaired it myself, but only because Bean's return policy would have cost me even more to ship it back. The seam will never be as strong no as it would have been if sewn properly to start with. The other reason for the 2 stars is the surprisingly small size of it. Even knowing it was compact didn't prepare me for how small.

I bought my first Stowaway pack a few yrs ago to carry my phone & small items but the zippers are now wearing out so I bought the new version. The Stowaway is foolproof for not dropping or losing my phone. I despise the new Stowaway's cheap straps that are like ribbons & ridiculously long. Also the buckles are cheaper than on the earlier bag. But for $29.95 I might keep the new one---I'm debating. One thing not debatable: LLBean over past years has replaced many good products with inferior ones. This Stowaway is just one example.

Unfortunately, this has not worked well for me. It is too small for my needs and the padding takes up room and is unnecessary. Wish there was something besides this and the stowaway sling pack.

It is not very big, and there is almost no room to put belongings.

This is a nice size pack but the straps do not stay locked in place. You are missing the adjustment buckles on the straps. Very poor construction. Would not purchase again.

Looks sturdy, but I'm so disappointed. I ordered the gold and it looked like a nice sunshiny yellow. In reality it's more of a brown-y mustard. Yuck. Will be returning.

Too small, material too thin - what happened to the Trail 125 style? that was a very substantial bag that we were trying to replace only because it has worn out from so much use over the last 20 years! We are disappointed that LLB changed/downgraded something that worked well!

I would have liked and kept this hip pack but, when it arrived I saw that the L.L.Bean name was in large print not subtly place. I would have returned it but not willing to pay restocking or postage. Knowing that I wouldn't use it, I donated it to a local thrift store
