Super light, super strong. Holds just enough. Very comfortable to wear when it's nearly empty and when it's stuffed full. Perfect for a day hike. Only recommendation would be to make the side pockets deeper. My taller water bottles often popped right out.

Purchased for our grandson's use during Trackers' Program outings. Functional and just what was needed.

Very minimal bag, and I load it with what I might need for my trip out off the house.

Lightweight and roomy. Wish it had 1 or 3 compartments to separate items.

I bought this to be my traveling office. It fits the bill perfectly. to prevent sagging, I put a small paperback at the bottom to provide support. Nice depth on the zipper pocket, although the bottle side pockets are too shallow to accommodate a 24-oz water bottle, and the pocket is loose to adequately protect a smart phone. I wrap my iPhone SE in a micro cloth to keep it stable. Larger phones mibht be OK. Straps are excellent. Laptop, mini iPad and accessories fit nicely. The bag doesn't add to the overall weight too much. This replaces my briefcase which is hard to hold while hopping around on walking sticks to protect an arthritic hip. Preparing for post surgery by changing things up.

Giving this week to my son for his bday! Actually filled it with other gifts. So- it has not been in use yet, but it looks durable and well made!

This backpack is a great size, well made and love the color. I wish it another compartment or two and deeper spot for water bottle that continually falls out.

The material is a little thin, but it's held up just fine through a few hikes and some travel. I find the side pockets a little shallow for some water bottles, and I could not for my life pack it into its self contained pocket BUT it's very light and a good size for day hikes. I also like how the inside pocket zippers for things like keys. As long as it doesn't tear, I'll be happy with it for a long time!

Love the pack but it does not stow away very easily if at all. Really hard to do and quite bulky. I found it was much easier and less bulky to just lie fit lat in the suitcase. Takes up basically no room that way.

Works very well for a daypack. Enough room for several bottles of water and a couple hats and other small items. I bought it specifically because it's a lightweight pack that still has a strap across the upper chest area. I do wish it had one or two small exterior pockets for easy access to small items. The lack of exterior zipped pockets is the reason why this is a 4-star review instead of 5.

The pack was the perfect size for hiking and packed up small in my suitcase. The side pockets did not hold water bottles very well - not tight enough

Extremely comfortable and lightweight! Carried it all day and night at Disneyworld, it fit everything I needed. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because my water bottle would not stay in the side pocket. I would purchase it again.

This is a nice day pack. I think it could use another few zippered compartments.

The one drawback to this bag is that because it is so lightweight, if you place heavy items (like books or groceries) and then use the front snap to secure it against falling off your shoulders, that cuts into your neck a bit. Have to keep tugging it down. Otherwise it's light, and I like the compartments/pockets.

Everything about this backpack was what I wanted: very lightweight, easy to carry, and would hold what I need inside. The only drawback was that I wanted to carry two water containers in the side pockets and they were too short and lightweight to hold the bottles. I needed the water for the planned hikes so I had to find something else. If that's not an issue for you, this is a well-made, light day pack that would be great to carry all day long.

Good comfortable backpack the only drawback is the water bottle holders on the side are too loose and I had to carry the water bottle inside the backpack

Functional but not as robust as anticipated. Could use one or two additional compartments. Seemed adequate for day trips during overseas travel.

We bought 2 of these to use on day hikes. It's the perfect size for as extra layer, snacks and water. The only comment is that the pockets on the side could be a bit deeper. My bottle fell out when I bent down to take a picture.

Quality of the bag is nice. I bought this bag because it was pack able. They do not show how to fold the bag to get into the small pouch. So after trying many different folds I just gave up and jammed it into the pouch. Thanks LL Bean for all the help!
