My husband and I did a 10 day Mediterranean Cruise that was port heavy. The Ultralight Stowaway pack was perfect for us. It held our rain gear and water bottles. Light weight and comfortable to wear all day.

This bag can be stuffed to the max and still feel light weight. Only bad thing is the bottle holder, it doesn't support it as well as regular back packs.

I use this to carry my essentials while I am commuting on my bike to work. It holds shoes, a light jacket, wallet, keys, my lunch, and more

Very comfortable and light weight. When carrying a rain jacket, some snacks, and two small water bottles, hardly noticeable on my back. I just use the shoulder straps, not the waist or sternum strap. If overloaded your results may not be the same as mine. Not easy to repack into its stowaway pocket though. So, I just lay it flat inside my suitcase when packing.

Gave this to my son for Christmas. He uses this going to work on a train.

Have purchased this item in the past. Llbean never disappoints.

these are comfortable: not too big, not too hot, good color. I ordered a petite extra small. I live in New Hampshire.

Great for hiking and every day use. I always need a backpack when I'm going to be gone for the day are going to several places and need to carry things along in this backpack provides ample storage and I love the deep pockets on the sides.

I had been looking for a day pack for travel. The Stowaway Ultralight is perfect! It is just the right size and it's well made. Used it on a recent holiday and it was just what I was looking for.

Wowww bought this during the summer this bag may not be light-weight but , I've drove on my motorcycle through rain , I actually use it as my purse the quality is amazing what you expect for a LL Bean product happy with my purchase it wipes down easily definitely water-proof you got to get this backpack it's so durable it's a must have I bought the black & I've used it literally everyday and the price is spot on I adore it thank you for making another awesome product i give it a 5 + !!!

Just got one at local LLB Outlet and went to read reviews on it and one review said there is no way it's stowaway, I immediately gave it a try and was able to stow away with absolutely no problem and under a minute. Just turn internal pocket inside out and pack it in!

Great size and qualiity for everyday use. Purchased as gift for husband and he loves it.

The bag fits into its own internal pocket. Its a squeeze but after battling it for just a minute I won and was rewarded with a small and light package. The straps are comfortable and overall there are nice features. I much prefer carrying this bag to the type with pull cords, which eventually digs into my shoulders.

Very lightweight and easy to carry. Fit my 15" laptop.

Lovely bag. Very well made. Loden green is a great color. It was just two small for two people to stash their medium-weight jackets. Would work best with each person having their own pack, as this one is a small size.

The backpack is lightweight ,good for day trips. I used it as a carry on for a cruise. The water bottle I used was small because the pocket won't fit large water bottles.I used a clip attached to the water bottle then attched to backpack so the bottle would stay in place better. It would be nice if the pocket was deeper.

The L.L.Bean Stowaway Ultralight Day Pack is the perfect backpack for carrying a few light things. The adjustable straps make it very comportable for all size people, I suspect. (I'm broad-shouldered male and it fits me perfectly.) I highly recommend this if you think it's what you need.

Perfect light pack for day hikes. It's light yet fits a lot.

My initial perceptions are very positive. I wanted a very light weight high performance day pack that fit close to my body and did not drop too far down my back. This seems to be designed for my needs. I have not had an opportunity to use it hiking yet. However, I have reviewed the other comments that were critical about water bottles pocket sizes, the pouch to stow it in, etc. I have no problems with any of those features.

Purchased to take on a trip where I didn't want to walk around with a backpack on in a crowded area initially. While it folds up into a small pouch, I haven't figured out a way to make that pouch not bulky, or flat. When storing it in a jacket, it creates a noticeable bump until you take it out. Otherwise you can fit a lot into the bag and shoulder straps don't dig into shoulders. I'm 6'4" and about 270 lbs, wearing a XXL jacket. I plan to add this to my saddlebag when I take weekend trips and need an extra bag.

I've had this for like 2 years. Great for travel, short hikes, and having around just in case.

Great light weight backpack, it may look small yet it's big enough to hold everything I'll need for my daily excursions. It can easily hold my raincoat and/or sweatshirt plus my small purse so that it's out of sight, yet easy to get to when needed. Some people complained about their water bottles falling out but I'm not sure why as I carry 1 all the time and it's never happened to me. Perhaps they're trying to carry those bigger bottles. Also love the zipper pockets inside to hold my ship card and passport safely. And my favorite thing is that it feels great on my back, the padded shoulder straps helps keep it in place and you can almost forget that it's even there. I love that I can also carry it in front of me when needed too. Great buy!

Super light weight I use it for day trips, traveling.

This daypack is the perfect size for walks and even short hikes. I really like that is stows away in a built in pocket.
