These wouldn't be warm enough for very cold weather, but for most days keep my hands warm enough in cool weather when I walk the dog, run errands, drive, etc. They are light and ver comfortable. I have not washed/cleaned them yet so cannot comment on how they hold up, but so far the thread at the tip of one finger of my non-dominant (hence little-used) hand is coming loose, so I will probably have to fix it before the seam comes apart. It should be an easy repair, otherwise I would have returned them. (I am keeping an eye on the other fingertips.) I have other LLBean gloves from more than 15 years ago that are still in great shape. The other reviews did not mention any similar problem, so perhaps mine were just a fluke. Or perhaps newer things aren't made to last as long? In spite of this, I would buy these again, but probably only if they were on sale.

I really appreciate the bulk-free aspect of these warm, lightweight gloves. They fit into my pocket or bag without getting in the way. So far I have worn them on chilly, windy days and the gloves have kept my hands comfortable. These are not for rough use; they don't provide cushioning, and I expect they're best for dry conditions, so I won't be using them when shoveling snow or making snow people. These are good looking, reasonably sleek and comfy gloves for wearing on the commute and around town.

I got these gloves to match my new Packaway jacket of the same color. Walked the dog this morning in 24 degree weather and my hands were toasty warm. My hands are always cold and I have tried many pairs of gloves from polartec to shearling and always cold. This morning I just forgot my hands usually get cold, these just work and are very light and take up very little space in my jacket pocket. One thing, tho, the gloves' design is short in the cuff and it's easy for your wrists to get cold. I had to tuck them under my jacket sleeves to keep my wrists from being exposed. Other than that, I'd give these 5 stars.

I live in Minnesota and wanted a lighter weight glove for transitional seasons when we get cold, wet weather with occasional light flurries. My hands get cold easily, and I need these for walking the dog as well as for standing at the bus stop for my commute.
First, what I love about these. As the name suggests, they are very packable. They are pliable, unlike most insulated gloves, and squish easily into my pockets, taking up less space than you'd expect from a pair of light gloves. Also, there is no stiffness to these, so I was even able to pick up after my dog without taking my gloves off...a huge bonus this time of year! The leather on the thumb and index finger was sufficient for opening the bag, too, though slightly challenging as the leather is slightly slick. Finally, on a 20 minute walk in light drizzle, my hands stayed dry, although the most exposed outer layers of the glove did get a bit wet. I don't think I'd want to be in a heavy downpour in these, but that's not our typical weather this time of year.
The one downside is that once the temp starts heading below 40F, my hands are chilled. At 45F, I'm toasty warm. So take the description with a grain of salt...comfort is a personal thing. That said, I just took a walk in 37F light drizzle with one of these gloves on my left hand and a different brand of lighter glove on my right. Both hands were equally chilled, but the other brand of glove was slightly thicker and slightly stiff. It did bead up the water unlike these, and was a bit easier to open a dog bag with, but a little less easy for the pickup part, due to the slight stiffness. So overall, I would say that these are a very good pair of light gloves, and I love them for their packability. Just temper your expectations if your hands get cold easily. I will use these when it's in the mid to upper 30s with occasional mornings in the lower 30s, even though my hands will be chilly, because I'm not looking forward to the bulk of winter gloves. But once it's consistently below freezing, I don't think these will be enough for me.

Disappointed in the gloves. Not very warm. Not sure what I expected but do not meet expectations. Nice looking.

These gloves are thinner than I expected. They were too long on my fingers. They work well for keeping my hands warm when it's raining out, but they're not as warm as I expected. I do use them with my pack away down vest as they are not too bulky when I have to put them into my best pockets. The palm material is also slippery on my vehicle steering wheel.

Although I have been a big fan of Bean products for years, I have to say that I am disappointed in these gloves. I am out early every morning and several more times throughout the day walking our dog. I have been searching for gloves that will keep my fingertips warm when it is below freezing, and have a drawerful that aren't great. I saw these on sale and hoped that they would fill the bill. They don't, unfortunately. They are nice looking, very lightweight and are certainly packable. But my fingers still get cold if I am out for any length of time. Sorry.

These gloves fit very well, but are not very warm. I bought them to replace my old driving gloves, and to wear on bus duty where I need to be able to use a clipboard and pen (so bulky gloves just don't work)... They are warmer than my old driving gloves, but on dog walks with temps in the teens & 20's, my hands still got cold. Also, it is advertised that they work with touch screens, but they really don't.... They have maybe a 70% chance of working with a swiping motion, but a simple touch motion (as in pushing a button) doesn't work at all..... which means that you cannot select anything on a touch screen, and you certainly can't text. LL Bean, these gloves aren't bad for borderline temps and driving, but PLEASE work on your touchscreen compatibility!!

The gloves were not warm as I had hoped. Did not send back but will not be my go-to on cold days.

I love these gloves, but be aware that the material on the palms and fingertips will eventually become shredded and come off in little pieces. I just bought a second pair, because that is what happened to my first pair. I consider them overpriced, given the durability issue.

I seem to be the only customer to have a problem with the fit. Both fingers and palms were too wide. My hands and fingers were sliding around. Since they were the correct length a small wasn't an option. Frankly they seemed over-priced as so many Bean's items do these days. Returned them.

These are nice and warm, but after only a week, some of the seams are coming out. They also seem looser than the ones I got several years ago. So they're okay but I probably won't buy them again.

The size is small like I wanted, but it still feels loose. The gloves seem too thin to be warm in very cold weather. The quality is not worth the price paid.

warm and light. after washing a couple times the finger seams spilt and have to sew them back together. For $50 shouldn't have to do that??

I wanted a thin and warm glove for traveling to Europe in early Dec. I got the first. Fit is kindof loose. Will add a liner and hope for the best. Hope the christmas markets in germany have woolen mittens.

Purchased women's gloves because blue not available in mens. Lightweight gloves, a bit weak in insulation during cold (20-35 degree) temps.
