I was impressed how quickly the bag shipped! We had the bag monogrammed and it was still shipped in a quick timely manner. I can't get over the quality of this bag. It is a thick canvas that holds up well. I appreciate that you can decide between the traditional or long strap, this comes in handy depending on how you plan to use the bag. I will be ordering as a gift again and I will also be ordering other sizes for myself.

This superb largest-size, thick canvas carrying bag resembles an open end sailing bag that was lashed to the boat by a short strap and handles. Although stained and worn, it is still in use 60+yrs later. I was skeptical that the Bean Boat & Tote would be of similar rugged construction, but the material, stitching, and dimensions are very close. The bag is well made, huge and can fit almost anything. The handle straps are strongly attached enabling heavy loads to be easily carried. As the retail market world sensibly begins to do away with pernicious plastic bags, the Boat & Tote is the perfect answer to bring your own. I was pleased, that with an introductory offer the monogramming was almost half-price. Thinking that a little pretentious ordinarily, it was so worth it and in no way appears snooty. The 3-letter monogram is offered in three styles and a variety of cool colors. I've received several compliments on the bag. People love the way it looks and it is so useful. Considering the Bean Boat & Tote Bag will last a long time, the price is a great deal. If you read all this praise, please get one or two.

Received a bag like this many years ago from a friend, I use is as my sailing bag. So when my daughter was looking for a great gift for a family gathering of 3 generations of women, I proposed she use this bag with a monogram designed by the youngest generation. All were thrilled with their gift. This bag is attractive and practical, but rugged enough to serve as a family heirloom.

I love my boat and tote open top and zippered ones. This is my third one I've ordered. My first one lasted 23 years before wearing out and it's still usable it's just one from using it almost daily for 23 years. I cannot say enough about every boat and told I have bought from LL Bean.

I went with the long straps. I plan on buying one for everyone this Christmas. Just a great bag. It doesn't fall down; even the straps stand straight up unless tucked down.

I bought this as a gift for a friend and got it personalized. She loved it and I was very happy with it. My only issue is I wish they offered a wider color selection. These would make great gifts for sports mommas.

The bag is well made and durable. I had my girlfriends initials sewn on the bag for easy identification. She uses it whenever we travel by car for long trips or short ones. She even uses it on the golf course to carry her shoes and other golf items all in this one bag.

I had spinal surgery = ugh! I live in a 3 story house = lots of exercise. The small LLBean bag with the long handles is perfect for bringing things upstairs. I put it over my shoulder & carry my things.

My husband loves the bag. Recently it had to be replaced due to an accident, but it seemed to last forever otherwise.

Cute and not too small! The color looks a bit too dark for a navy color, though, if you want a blue, just go for the Regata blue instead!
