Got this for my daughter, as I have owned one for many years and found it extremely useful and durable. This one was a little larger than I expected, but as I had had it monogrammed, there would be no return. Didn't matter. She loved it and was able to tuck all her Christmas gifts inside to take them home when she left. Wonderful item!

This was the 2nd tote bought for Granddaughters H.S. graduation. I use the college colors for the handles & fill the tote with sundries, snacks, laundry supplies, notebooks, pens/pencils, etc. the ideas are endless...and the girls LOVE it.

Purchased the tote as a gift and it is all that it was advertised to be. Well sewn, heavy duty material. Got the monogram which makes it more personal.

Over the years I have bought several of these canvas bags, in different sizes and colors. I still have all of them. I use them for everything...groceries, laundry bag, briefcase, book bag, beach bag, weekend luggage, catch-all in the car and other places, storage and transportation of ski gear, I even carried my toddler in the large one. They are strong and machine washable,then they come out ready for another adventure.

Bought 4 of the medium for grocery shopping. Liked them because they are sturdy and can take a lot of weight.

Our family has been ordering these totes for over 50 years and the quality today is the same as those ordered so many years ago. Because today more than ever we are conscious of protecting the environment in every way we can - little ways, big ways - I've been using my totes for groceries . They're sturdy, hold even fragile items safely, and the strong handles are perfect for 'big grocery shopping' trips. I sent these items to my daughter and son-in-law to use for traveling and trips to the grocery store. My daughter saw my bag when she was visiting and really liked it so I thought these items would be a good gift for them. She called me when she received them and was very happy with the bags. I know they are an excellent quality product and make really good gifts.

The LLBean tote is exactly what I expected it to be. I already own two of them and needed something to carry fishing and hunting gear year around so I did not have to keep switching stuff in bags so the obvious choice was two dedicated bags , one for fishing gear and one for hunting gear.

As a Christmas gift, I purchased the long/large Boat and Tote bag in Navy and had initials monogramed. I stuff them with beach towels and they make for an awesome Christmas gift. Everyone goes crazy for these bags and I have their gifts done in a jiffy. I ordered the bag on a Monday and it was delivered on Thursday, unbelievable. People must work 24/7 at LL Bean. I got this tote bag as a present in the past and I have one too, which has lasted years! Great material, long lasting, pretty. Very happy with purchase. People I have purchased this for have been very happy. I love the way they do the monogram! Very fancy-looking, yet professional.

This tote and the LL Bean toiletry bags are my go-to gifts. I've lost track of how many I've bought over the years. I have them monogrammed and give them to friends, family, teachers, school bus drivers, etc. I've never heard anything but rave reviews. I use all of the sizes. I usually give the large and XL as gifts. When I travel in my car I get everyone to pack their things in the large size because I can easily stuff them into the trunk. I like that they are stiff because I don't have to worry about them falling over. In the past month I've bought 6 as gifts for Christmas. Just yesterday, I got a text from a family member who received a size XL from me and she was soo excited. She loved it. I wish the XL had more color choices- but that is literally my only complaint. These are the best!

I have been buying LL Bean canvas tote bags for 30 years. Every new Baby and newly wed in the Family gets one with their newly minted name. They are the perfect bag for any occasion. Very good looking and very sturdy.

I received 1 of these totes over 20 years ago and still use it. My daughter wanted 1 and I bought it for her for Christmas.

great tote nice and heavy. I use when I go shopping. Several years ago we bought one and still using it. I was really glad when we found you still had them. I can understand why because they just come in handy for a lot of things.

This bag is of superb quality. The 24 oz material is unbelievably heavyweight. The canvas is so strong and thick that the empty bag stands up straight and doesn't sag at all. The seams are all heavily stitched and the bottom is reinforced. Very high quality workmanship. This bag is made the way things were made a hundred years ago, made to last, before all the made-in-China junk hit the market.

Over the last 30 years it had become the mantra of my household that "You can never have too many boat bags." When we have said it, the sentence meant Bean totes. I have a venerable bag bought at the Freeport store in 1992; it has been in more duck blinds and fishing boats than I can number. It has been lowered into a glacial lake in Alaska, holding waterproof containers that together with the bag made a fine refrigerator. It has a small hole worn in one side, and I have brought it back to customer service in Freeport to have the handles/straps replaced. Another of my favorites contains tools; I keep it behind the seat of my pick up truck. I am certain that I could load a Bean tote with more weight than I ever could pick-up, and the bag would not rip or tear. Its successor bags are in the dozens. The latest include bags bought in the Freeport store each Autumn on our family's annual trip to Maine. I buy a new bag for each grandchild and have it monogrammed with their initials. I have every confidence that these bags will far outlive me, and I hope the growing collection each grandchild has will be useful to them for many years to come.... a reminder of time spent with their grandfather in a place we all love.... and perhaps encourage them to perpetuate the tradition among their own children and grandchildren.

Even though they show they sized I get thrown off on what size bag I actually need. The large is perfect for a weekend away. Likely way too big for most people to carry around day to day (for school, etc) but a perfect catch all as you throw things in the car, beach bag, dance competition items, sports equipment, etc. These bags are well constructed and survive over years of abuse. I love the long handled and can't imagine using the short handles but to each their own.

I take my large tote out on my boat stuffed with towels, suntan lotion and snacks. I also take it food shopping.

I purchased this tote to use during visits to the beach. The large tote holds towels and all of my beach sundries. I also like the monogramming for a personal touch.
