I bought several of these with monogramming as bridesmaids gifts (large, open top, long handle), they are the perfect size for the beach. You can easily fit 3 large beach towels in them and still have room for the rest of your stuff. Good quality workmanship. My only wish is that it had an interior or exterior pocket.

I am using this bag as a portable needlepoint bag for my current projects. The light blue color is so pretty and I love the long handles so I can carry it on my shoulder.

The canvas bag makes an excellent carrier for groceries and other items.

I bought two of these and have them monogrammed with my daughters' names. I use them throughout the week to organize and prepare them for their extracurricular activities. We hang them on a hook on the wall and as each soccer uniform or ballet outfit gets washed, I gradually fill each tote. Before game days, I slowly add sweatshirts and blankets and water bottles and snacks. I love the durability of this tote and the fact that it washes so well.

I purchased an extra large tote with long handles and navy accents. I already own the exact same bag, but found it so useful I decided to purchase another so I could have one for each of my travel needs. The tote is as described and as expected. It's a high quality product and I would recommend it. My only complaint is the lack of any pockets. Even just one pocket inside would improve the bag tremendously.

We have had a similar LL Bean Bag for the past 30+ years and it is still going strong! Ordered this bag as another reusable utility bag, and it is far more than that. VERY Large (bigger than our current bag), solid, strong and durable~ all that we could have hoped for. Heavy duty canvas with carrying handles that are sewn all the way to the bottom. Looks to be able to outlast us!

I love these totes. We have two and they are so sturdy and useful. They carry a bunch of stuff and hold up well. You can also throw them in the washer and let them air dry. We have even used ours to carry our puppy on hikes when he was little!

I ordered this bag for an overseas trip to Shanghai. I initally ordered an X-Large but thought that might be too big. I sent an e-mail on a Sunday to Customer Service to change my order to a Large. I did not expect a response until Monday or Tuesday but about 15 minutes later my phone rang! It was LL Bean calling on a Sunday to assist me!!!! Wow! That was amazing. I received my bag as promised on the Thursday before I left. What a lifesaver! The bag is awesome and it carried all of my stuff to and from China. It was sturdy and perfect. I even had it monogrammed and it came out so well. I am super picky about my bags and LL Bean delivered. I like traditional things and the Boat and Tote is wonderful. Well done!

We had their apartment number embroidered on the tote. We will put a bottle of wine and some munchies in the tote for a welcome gift. Great quality tote that we know from experience will last a long time.

This is a very sturdy bag. I buy them as new baby gifts and love the personalization options. It's a bag that will last the child for many years. Parents love it!

I have four boat totes in different sizes. I use them for travel, going to the beach and most frequently, for shopping. I am always getting compliments on my bags for their sturdiness and durability. And, of course, they look good, too!

I first bought this boat tote over 30 years ago. It has served many purposes but mostly for laundry. It was easy to carry with the straps especially down stairs where a basket was awkward and I was afraid of falling. I decided to treat myself and get a new one. The old one got a little dirty and frayed at the bottom but still useful. The quality and stitching of this canvas is excellent. I have other LLBEAN styles and would recommend them to anyone. Also the price is excellent as well as the workmanship.

I love this bag. I use it as my teacher tote. There is plenty of room for all of my things. The handles are comfortable to use. It comes in different colors that can match your school colors.

Very well made, canvas fabric very strong. Got initials in BOLD, and love them. Just be careful of size you order. This was much larger than I anticipated. Says it is 17" wide, but that is at the base. The size in the middle is about 22" wide.

Buy a Bean Boat and Tote. I give them as thank-you gifts, use them for my books: Don Quixote at the moment and the Holy Bible, and take them on long trips to Italy and the Rideau Canal in Ottawa to skate. Blessings L.L.Bean.

I own a dozen L.L. Bean tote bags in various sizes; they're strong, functional, and wash well. I especially appreciate that they're still made in the United States (Maine). I just wish that more of L.L. Bean's products were made in this country.

I was looking for a reusable, washable bag to bring to work each day and this is the perfect fit! I have a much larger bag that I've had for years that I take everywhere on trips/beach but this smaller one is ideal for everyday to work.

Well-made of excellent sturdy material. Ordered blue trim - nice color. It stands up by itself, not floppy. I use it for carrying clean laundry and other items upstairs. Ordered the regular handles which work fine for my purpose.

Excellent product, stands in the car. I have been using it for many years for my swimming gear and now also for carrying things to my husband who is in the nursing home.

My wife inherited a couple of these from her mother. After 35 years of regular use carrying groceries and tire chains and everything in between the handles were getting a little frayed. Absolutely the best tote, sturdy, stands up free, the large size will easily carry 80 + pounds, can use as a carry-on plane or train, easy to pack. If I am running out the door and need to gather a number of things quickly, this tote is so easy to load up and carry off. This is likely one of the best items LL Bean makes and sells.

These are the best bags around. Now that plastic bags are being retired at retail stores, the L. L. Bean bags are perfect to take up the slack. We keep them in the car at all times, and use them constantly.
