The quality of this bag is so excellent is actually shocked me. The material is thick and apparently very durable.

I bought this bag to carry groceries from the first floor to the second floor of our townhouse (my husband and I live on the second floor) My husband needed something with short handles that he could tie around the strap he uses to hoist groceries from the first floor. Boy, does this bag work perfectly! It can hold up to 4 bags of groceries without fear of it busting. Best $50 I have ever spent.

Much bigger than I thought it would be, even after I measured. Durable, pretty and functional.

Quality tote that will last decades, as I have 3 other LLBean totes I've owned for 25+ years and they are in great shape still!

I love how sturdy and strong the bag is, it fits lots of clothes or food or anything you want. I love the red color of the straps on my bag and the hot pink embroidery that I had put on the bag. I'll be using it for the beach, the pool, going on a road trip to Arkansas, it will hold all our food and drinks. This is my second bag and my new bag looks as good as my first bag I bought years ago, they'll last forever if you take care of them

Starting my 42nd year in the classroom this year and for most of that time one of these LL Bean tote bags has been my go to school bag. If it's not too overloaded, it usually is, the extra long handles make it easy to carry over my shoulder. I have never worn one out. I use them until they're so grubby I can't stand to look at it - if I'm careful that could be six or seven years, or longer - and then turn it over to the hubby to be used for camping and gardening. Works great for carrying in a load of kindling for the stove. I highly recommend this very versatile bag.

I hopped on the ironic boat & tote trend and ordered over a tote the phone. Customer service was easy going and kind. The day I was going to pick up my order, I received a call with an employee letting me know that the embroidery machine malfunctioned and the letter was off to the side by quite a bit. I didn't have a problem with this, actually found it a bit charming. When I got the tote I thought it was just going to be a cute little bag to use on days when I could use a little pick me up. However, this has quickly become my main bag because of its spaciousness, quality, and ease of use. I've been told I'll have this bag forever, and I hope that's true.

The extra large is, indeed, very large and made out of rigid and highly durable canvas. It's a must for frequent travelers. The last one I had served me well for nought on twenty years - and is currently being repaired!

If you want a big tote this is the one for you! It is extremely well made (thank you Nina!!) and durable. I am very happy with this - take it to the beach, put it in your grocery cart - - ideas are endless. I might consider getting the longer handles with this size if purchased again as I carry it on my shoulder.
