This tote is a quality item, built to last. I appreciate the options available when ordering. For example, color, size, embroidering, etc.. I would like to have the option to add pockets to the inside, as it would make the totes that much more useful. Overall, I am very pleased with this product.

The Large Open Top Boat & Tote bag is an absolute perfect fit on the seat of a "rollator" (four-wheeled walker, of the kind that many older folks and folks with disabilities use). The fit is so exact that it stays firmly on the seat without needing anything to tie it or fasten it in place and stays conveniently open. The user can carry groceries in it on a neighborhood walk, or carry things around the house, or whatever. Made all the difference to my father when he was recovering from hip surgery. Me, I use the large size to carry groceries in from the car. It's great to be able to put groceries down to fish for my keys and have the handles stay standing straight up!

The tote I ordered arrived promptly and was exactly what I ordered. It was trimmed in the color I ordered and the monogram was beautiful. It has served me perfectly in various ways.

For my grandson, a senior in high school, going off to college, will be a great mover of a lot of stuff, clothes, books, shoes etc.

I love these totes! Extremely durable and no other totes on the market compare. Great for an overnight, a day trip, or hauling odds and ends to and from the car. I will be ordering more, a Large for shopping and an XL as a laundry tote. I've read a lot of negative comments, from those complaining that there is no pocket. Hello?! It's a TOTE bag. One reason I didn't order from a competitor is is because it has a pocket. I hope LLB keeps this as a NO-pocket tote. This thing is made of iron and the workmanship is remarkable. And I love that they are made right here in the US. I bought my first Boat and Tote in 1999, and I am just now replacing it! I know this will hold up for a long time. Highly recommended

I got my first tote bag 20 years ago and amazingly it is still functional, though not so beautiful anymore. So for a present to myself, I purchased a new one for in a new color. I still am keeping the old one! I usually buy the xlarge bag as a baby shower gift as new Mom's soon find out how much stuff they have to gather and haul around and this bag is perfect. Once past the child mode you can use it to load your rain gear or winter clothes for outings. So many functions, best tote ever.

I've purchased these bags before and know their quality is excellent. This year I decided to get two of the small bags with red trim and with my two little grandson's names monogrammed on them. I put their gifts inside them and tied them with red bows. They look great, and I especially liked the little note from the person who sewed them. That was very personal. Family members are so concerned about wasted wrapping paper, so this made much sense in several ways. Now they will have bags to use for play dates and for overnight sleepovers too.

We ordered this bag for my daughter, and couldn't be more pleased with the size and the quality. It is much bigger than I expected, and seems very sturdy. I am thinking of getting one for myself! The monogramming looks great too. Recommended!

I have several of these tired in different sizes....So many uses for them and they are very durable.....I will only buy these totes...I crochet for charities and put my projects that I am working on in them. So when I go out I can work on them in the car...just pick them up and off I go..

I had heard about the quality of the L. L. Bean Boat and Tote bags for years but this was my first purchase. When I first touched the bag I knew it was a quality product. The canvas is a heavy durable fabric and the workmanship is impressive. This bag will be a Christmas gift so I had it monogrammed to add a personal touch, it turned out beautifully. I am so impressed with this product that I am buying a larger size with a monogram as second gift. Overall, I would definately recommend this bag.

I purchased the Boat and Tote for my mother who lives in Florida. She said it was perfect to carry her church supplies back and forth to service. Also is usable for so many other things like packing for a day at the beach, a picnic, carrying items to her friends in nursing home and travel. The uses for this item is limitless. She says it is very sturdy and she loves it! Also loves that her name was monogrammed on it. Way to go llbean, another hit with our family.

I've always loved the Boat and Tote, which my family has always referred to as Bean's Bags. I've owned small ones for years and finally bought two extra large ones to use for groceries or whatever. Great quality product.

This was my first LLBean Boat and Tote and I am in love! It's such high quality, heavy material and the monogram is lovely. The Large is a little too big for my intended use (large work bag), but thats ok! I'll find a ton of uses for it, and I already ordered a Medium. If you pay a little more attention to the dimensions than I did when ordering, you will be very satisfied!

This is a great bag! Very useful for toting all sorts of things to and from my car...gym items, groceries, things from the beach, etc. Sturdy, strong, good looking and I like the color I got (turquoise straps). Purchased on sale and wish I would have bought more. They would make great gifts for boaters, people going to the beach, or if you have a long walk from car to condo. Mine wipes clean. Love LL Bean Totes, they last for ever and hold up to tons of abuse. This is my 3rd one and nothing compares for quality and craftsmanship...the best.

LLB's canvas bags made in Maine are almost bullet-proof. However, the handle is uncomfortable for smaller hands to grab and carry the bag. Can the handle be made comfortable and durable? Also, if LLB can make "in Maine" bags with lighter washable material for groceries, I would buy them. Thanks!

I have been using this tote for 30 years: boat trips, ski trips, humping tools around. Like my Toyota truck, it will outlive me.

I had ordered the large boat and tote to use as my school bag. I had initially been undecided as whether to order the medium or the large based on dimensions. I decided on the large, thinking the medium may be too small. My bag arrived today, and while it is beautifully monogrammed and constructed, the dimensions listed for this bag are actually larger than stated on the descriptor. Large bag is listed as 17 inches wide by 15 inches high. The bag is actually 22 inches wide x 15 inches high. I really had hoped the dimensions on this bag were accurate. It's much larger than I expected.

This review is long-overdue. I bought 2 Medium, 1 Large and 1 Extra-large open tote and 2 Small open totes (1 long-handled). Later, I bought 1 Medium and 3 Small Zip-tops (2 were gifts). These totes are GREAT! On a trip out to Wyoming, our new van broke down, while towing our travel trailer. Because a part wasn't quickly available, we and our 2 big dogs had to leave every non-essential thing in Worland, Wyoming, and head home in a rental car (Worland has a lot of VERY nice, caring people). All those big LL Bean totes we carried in the trailer became our luggage. The bags stand up when you set them down so nothing falls out. I use the Large or Extra-Large for carrying other things: Christmas gifts, Potluck dishes or our coats, when we don't (or can't) check them. I grab the Medium totes for carrying choir books, music and other items. The small zip totes are always ready as purse replacements, the open ones for taking to the dentist or auto service dept with a book to read.

I use this boat tote every day for work , it`s easy , light and comfy to carry , just the right size for everything l need at work. love the color also.

My family loves, loves, loves these bags. We used them for pjs to grandmas, toys and beach towels when the kids were little. Now that they are grown, we take them for camping gear, game night, scout supplies, tools... you name it! These bags are RUGGED and are still in fantastic shape, despite years of use. Skip the onsies and buy one of these for your next baby shower gift or teacher gift! It's the gift that keeps giving for literally decades!

I had a tote years ago. Not sure whatever happened to it but I remember how handy it was. The extra large lives up to its name - its huge! But for a gym trip or anywhere, it can take anything you throw in it. I look forward to years of use with this one, too.
