It works - keeps the bugs away, right weight so don't get hot

This is my second insect shield hoodie. It seems like every summer there is a warning about mosquitoes carrying West Nile virus, and I feel better wearing this clothing item. I also find it light enough that I am comfortable wearing it on a warm summer day.

looks great - fits great, happy to own it . . . hopefully it repels bugs as that's the main impetus behind the purchase.

On our vacation last week, my husband was the only one on the hiking trail with insect protection - this Insect Shield hooded shirt. He was not bothered at all by mosquitoes, while the rest of us were constantly swatting the bugs away. It really works! Great also for fishing off the pier at dusk.

Never written a review beforebut just finished the John Muir Trail (in a heavy snow year) and this hoodie was freakin unbelievable. We used them in the mornings and afternoons/evenings. Too hot to hike in midday. We camped in areas with LOTS of mosquitos, where none others would dare, and this thing keeps the bugs away. There were only a couple of times we even needed our big head nets. It was truly astonishing and added immensely to our trip options and sanity.

Love this shirt! It really keeps the bugs away and I like the style of the hoodie with thumb hooks. I can cover up and not wear bug spray. Not a bite on me! PLEASE MAKE MORE and ADD COLORS! I like the cottony feel. I did have to size up in order for a looser fit, but ordered 2 instead of one when I exchanged.

I bought this is a birthday present for my husband who can be rather fussy about his clothing. He also is a bug "attractor" when gardening or hiking. This item is a perfect fit in every way except for the bugs who haven't come near it.

Gifted to a surveyor who often works in the brush with ticks and mosquitoes. He was so impressed the very first day he wore it that he declared it was a game changer, and washed it out so that he could wear it again the very next day. -I sent him 4 more so he'd have a week's worth! Lol It's even comfortable in the Texas summer heat.

Shirt kept the critters away, but warm and doesn't breathe very well but worked and lite

It really works! Kept black flies and mosquitoes at bay, in the woods, on the deck and the Lake.

I really like these insect shield line. Stayed out all night in hammock to try out, and worked well as we've had much rain and mosquitoes. Size is right we've had a little looseness which you need. Sharpie hashmark on label after each wash, as the hoodies claim effectiveness for 70 washes.

This lightweight hoodie is very comfortable, looks good and keeps the bugs away!

Get it, New Hampshire here. Nights by the campfire still got me tore up. But these shirts worked. What voodoo is this.

I hiked the white mountains in NH with little bug problems while others with me used bug nets

The shirt with hood was great for black fly season in northern Maine! I was really surprised at just how effective it was. In addition the shirt is a very comfy, lightweight, loose fit. Love it!

I bought this shirt for a fly fishing trip to northern Maine in late May. We had sunny, buggy weather and the shirt handled the sun and the bugs really well. I'm very happy with this purchase. Looking forward to testing it even further on a trip to the Boundary Waters later in June.

Purchased this hoodie, i normally take a medium but got the large to pull over a shirt. Tried this out the other day on a hike in the woods. Normally the flying insects love me for some reason. Put on this hoodie and pulled the hood and was not bothered once. Worked really well for me.

Not quite the thing for really hot and humid weather such as Summer in Maryland, but will undoubtedly use it more come Fall. We live in a wooded area and bugs of all types, but particularly ticks are a problem. The fit (2xl) was fine (loose) and the hood is a nice touch in areas with lots of flying bugs. Recommended!

Like this a lot - comfortable and it works - only criticism is the pastel only color palette

Nice looking and well made. Fits well. Material is a bit uncomfortable directly on the skin, so best to wear a thin layer underneathwhich makes it too warm for most days. Seems to do a good job warding off the bugs though.

The hoodie works pretty good but needs pockets as it is a pullover
