I don't like flats. I'm a heels girl. But I'm also over 40 and am getting to the point where I can't wear heels all the time, so I went on the hunt for a pair of flats that cute and comfortable. I find flats to be...well...too flat. Heels are more comfortable to me - until they're not. So I didn't want anything too flat, but I also didn't want a giant platform or anything that looked like a nurse's shoe. Most of the really cute flats were horribly uncomfortable - perfectly flat, no support and really stiff - no flexibility. This was - by far - the best I found. Has a bit of padding under the foot. Soft flexible leather, but doesn't look like a slipper. The pointy toe gives it a stylish edge. I did find that I needed a half size larger than my other shoes.

The navy leather is very dark, almost black. They were more comfortable than I expected! The vamp of the shoe is a bit higher than I would like though - I prefer to show a little more top of the foot. These look a little matronly to me. I am considering whether to return or not since they are quite comfortable.

These are super trendy shoes! I am hoping that I am in the break in stages and that they will grow more comfortable over time. They kind of cut into the back of my left foot. I wear a size 10½ so I was excited to find these. There is some toe cleavage but not a ton. Not something people even notice until I point it out. They work fine for work if you have a desk job but I would not walk around town or at the mall in them, which I actually did and my feet were crying.

The shoe is very cute, but began to hurt the side of my foot just after walking around my room. Additionally, the patent leather seems to squeak a bit more than the average pair. In the end, I didn't want to make that much noise going down the hall at work. If they hadn't been so noisy, I probably would have kept them and let them stretch out.

I purchased the Nine West Speak Up in Dark Brown Croc. First, they are more of a medium brown, definitely not dark, and I would like them better if they were a bit darker. Second, there is definitely some toe cleavage, which I'm not a big fan of, but it is by no means a deal breaker for me. They are a little tight in the toe area, which is to be expected in a pointy-toed shoe. I do like the croc print and the overall look of the shoe and they look good with dress pants and jeans alike. I will definitely be keeping them.

I usually take an 8W, ordered this in 8W and 8.5W. Neither fit well. 8W was completely too short in the length; strangely the 8.5W was better but still short in length and back of shoe slipped off my foot. Returning both for someone else to enjoy.

stiff leather

Comfortable shoe, but didn’t last- less than 6 months since I got them, started falling apart, heel block and inside the shoe - very disappointed

Was a little too loose. Was supposed to arrive Nov 1 with UPS showed up Nov 5 with Amazon.

I was not sure of my size. Now I know I'm actually a 6.5 W, and I chose a different shoe. Nine West is always a quality shoe, in my experience.

I ordered 8.5 wide and the shoes were very tight for what should be a wide width. I returned the shoes.

Bought the 5W but still felt pretty narrow. The material is very tough and hard to bend, doesn't really contour to the foot. The outside material is very easy to scratch.

I ordered a W for my daughter and they felt tight in the toes to her. Also, they weren't stylish enough for the 35 year old.

Cute shoe, but unfortunately too narrow and stiff across the toe box for comfort. I would not call this a medium width shoe.

Very cute but not comfortable. I ordered a wide and it still pinched my toes.

I returned F these shoes. They were not wide enough for me.

Sizing was good but if you have bunions they will dig into you like a knife slicing your skin open.

Too tight around the toes

I usually wear a 7-1/2 or 8. This shoe was true to size, but a little tight around my toes. Enough so that after a minute or so wearing them in the house I knew they would be very uncomfortable to wear any time at all. I was also concerned about the sole being slippery. There was some mention of a rubber grip being added to the outer sole, but I didn’t notice it being much help. I just can’t fall, so rejected them. And although I said they are true to size ( the length is true to size) I think they are a bit small at the toe. There is an extreme point at the toe, but before that point, they were hurting my toes at the side. I’ve ordered some other black leather flats that I hope will work. I want a smooth leather with a classic cut. Zappos makes it easy to return. Thank you.

The shoe was true to size but because of the pointed toe it was a squeeze for the toes/ball.

These are beautiful flats. I was sad to return them but needed to because my toe area was too wide for the shoe. I wish they came in wide.

I double checked these were Wides twice after trying them on because they were so narrow. If you have wide feet at all I wouldn’t recommend them.
