Look; I’m a dyed in the wool mountain man. I had to dress it up recently. These boots make me look like I know what I’m doing. I liked the J&M Garrison well enough to order a pair at a discount. Fit was good enough for under $140 shipped. I wanted to wear boots with a suit due to all the water we’re getting. My feet are thin with a low instep and high arches. I also need a little more width and not height in the toe box (feet are 10inches exactly). Most 8’s are too small and most 8.5 feel a little loose on me even though the length and heel cup are perfect. The Garrison fit and felt great out of the shredded box. The boot did not bunch where the laces meet the instep/toe box. My dogs got to the boots first. Loved em maybe. I sent them back but was able to try them out on more than the carpeted floor. I opted for the J&M Cody Wingtip since my size in the garrison were no longer available. I overlooked the zipper on the cody zip wingtip and will need to send these back too. The zipper is cool and maybe compliment well if you own a lowered pick up. Nothing against the boots. I wanted a fully functioning water/ splash resistant dress boot. I believe the zipper to be more permeable than the rest of the boot. Fit and feel. 5 stars. The lining has a supple feel while the leather retains strength and shape where needed. Look of both the cap toe and wingtip are timeless. Seem to go with with a slim fitted suit and jeans all the same. I wear chino pants more than denim and the J&M boots looked at home on khaki. Cuffed or hemmed for high-water (which we have) look stellar. The rounded toe seems a little wider on the wingtip although the cap toe was my 1st choice. The 8-1/2 was true to size. I’m a tough customer and the J&M boots are ready to wear. Fit varied from boot style and sole materials.

Comfortable and Perfect fit right out of the box. Runs true to size. Highly recommended.

Great fit and style.

Very attractive shoe. Slightly narrow, but stretches. Prominent arch, somewhat hard. If you looking for a dressy boot to wear a few hours a day, this is it. (The arch was too high for my flat feet)

You won't be disappointed! Really nice pair of boots that you can dress up or down. If I had to pick an issue...the laces are a little thin

Great looking boot, unfortunately it was too narrow. I got this size based on the sizing of the Raleigh Cap Toe which was a 9 but infinitely more comfortable and a better fit

I normally do not give reviews of anything. Not positive or negative. I really love this shoe's style and the fit and walkability is amazing for a more formal shoe. I saw these 1st in Macy's in Oak Brook around Christmas 2022 but the shoe department was so swamped I could tell I was not going to get service for at least a half hour. So what's wrong with them? One of the heals fell off after 3 months. My shoe guy showed me they are basically cardboard. I had both replaced with leather. Totally worth it. But today I'm getting dressed and see that my puppy is chewing something! It is a small metal eyelet. I take it away and start to get the shoes on and notice one of the lace hooks is missing. Well sure enough now a lace hook has fallen off. The shoe looks great but the build quality just isn't there. Bummer

I wear a size 11 regular. These boots fit tight and narrow. I can go up a half size but I feel that this would not solve the issue of being narrow. Great looking boots.
