I've worn these shirts for 15-20 years. Probably bought over a hundred. Maybe more. For the longest time, these were the king of T-Shirts. All I wore. They were perfect. Hefty, not clingy, held their shape and washed well. Fit was spot on perfect. Long lasting. And the executives in charge have ruined it to save pennies. LL Bean, you should be ashamed of yourselves. This is not the work of an icon. Not the work of an institution. This is corporate greed and disregard for customer service. Disregard for repeat business. Disregard for what you once stood for. Complete failure on your part. But you can fix it. Get back to what you did well. Quality. Make your items quality again. Stop feeding executives bellies and get back to making quality products again. Until then, you'll find me at Fils*n or W**lrich. Shame on you.

Unfortunately I just had the opportunity to write this review but the collar on this shirt did not hold up and im currently living with a severe bacon neck t shirt. Very dissapointed!

These shirts are undoubtedly made with polyester and are in no way 100% cotton. I was very suspicious from the initial wash at how the material felt while wet. After several weeks and different models of shirts began raising suspicions I decided to test them out. In the dark with a light shone on them these shirts sparkled all over in a way ONLY plastic would. No cotton in the world reflects in a plastic iridescence. I then went a step further and conducted a burn test on the middle of the material (not the trim or seams). Sure enough the shirt did not burn and ash but melted into tiny plastic balls. L.L.bean is deceiving its customers to save money- they are poisoning our bodies and planet with more plastic for cost efficiency. This is extremely upsetting and I will no longer be buying from a company with such questionable morals.

I'll admit that I haven't purchased a traditional fit unshrinkable tee for about 4 years. The recent purchase isn't traditional: 1.) the length is too long, 2.) the crewneck tight and uncomfortable and, 3.) the material is thin.

I have been buying these tees for many years. However, the material you have been using in recent years is not to my liking. I find the current material too thin and "clingy", especially the heather material. Needless to say, I will not be buying anymore.

I've been buying LL Bram Tee shirts for years but these recent ones feel warm to wear in summer. I now notice they don't mention "100% cotton" like on previous orders and I suspect they are synthetic. I'm checking on the 4 tees I ordered and the description does say cotton but the tee shirts themselves have no mention of it - all previous orders do say 100% cotton. I'm reluctant to buy any more tee shirts until I can be sure of what I am getting. DEFINITELY not the same product I have been buying over the years.

Weirdly, my husband said this was "too soft." When pressed, he said the fabric was too stretchy and lightweight. I think I understand -- the fabric is not hefty or thick. It's more like undershirt material. We returned this tee.

Shirt contains polyester. It says 100 %cotton. I'm allergic to polyester and it caused a lot of problems.

Thought I was getting the same quality men's teeshirts I purchased two years ago, plain cotton. What arrived today is that cheap stretchy fabric. This item has gone down hill. Returning it immediately.

I have ordered XXL Tees in the past and hey fit very well. This order was for XXL Tees and they are more like 3X or 4X size inconsistent sizes... from manufacturer and poor-quality control by L.L.Bean

usually wear large but this one is ridiculously large. It is going to trash. Unfortunately, I will avoid this brand and stick with other my goto brands.

I have to iron them - they grab wrinkles and just hold on. they look sloppy and I will never order them again. it is clearly a new fabric you are using, since I have ordered these for years. (or ones without a pocket)

Washed this t shirt when it first arrived, wore once and washed today for only second time. Already the stitching is coming out in the sleeves. Super comfy shirt, absolutely terrible quality given the price.

I'm looking for a new everyday tee. Ordered 10 or so of these over a few weeks. They were great at first. Six months later and every one of them has bacon neck. Guess I'm moving in to the next candidate.

This shirt has way too much resin or shrinkage stabilizer and consequently, does not absorb sweat. It does not wick sweat away. It blocks the sweat leaving it to run Dow the inside of the shirt and my upper torso like an old style polyester knit. It is 100% cotton and performs like polyester. I have bought quite a few of these shirts over the years and I don't recall them being sweat blockers before. This shirt is not suitable for hot weather.

Sizes are why off. I've worn large in all other brand tee shirts for years and these fit like a dress, almost to my knees. Also sent me a small?

Sizes are way too off, and L.L.Bean's Medium (M) size more like L or XL. And their "Tall" size option actually means "Wide." I bought a Medium size t-shirt and it looked like a very loose sack on me, while other brands fit well. I had to return the item.
