The shirt says 100% cotton. But it feels like polyester

The shirt is OK, but the color is yucky. Do not like the color. But Have all the other colors.

I was very disappointed to find after purchasing two of the Carefree Tees that the fabric was no longer 100% cotton, and the feel of the tee was noticeably different. It felt less breathable, and I did not appreciate the extreme elasticity of the fabric. It gave the fabric a synthetic feel. I had expected, as in the past, that I would receive a cotton tee with all the natural properties cotton features. Unfortunately I will not be purchasing the Carefree Tee again.

Fits well. Nice color. But as with every other Bean t shirt I've bought in the last couple of years, the reinforced fabric around the neck stretches out of shape after just a few washings. Makes the shirt look cheap and worn out. This never happened with past t shirts.

Shirt fit well except I found the collar surprisingly tight. Ended up returning.

Quality was less than other t-shirts I purchased a year ago. Color was not as presented in the catalog. Sent in for exchange and the color I wanted was on back order until October and they never told me. I cancelled my order.

I fall for these Tees every time. They say no shrink but they do shrink. I wash them in cold water, dry them at low temperature and they shrink, some colors more than others. I have purchased at least 15 of these tops but not any more!!

Nice tee shirts out of the package, however, they tend to get a curl in the crew neck over time.

This shirt doesn't feel like cotton, and water beads up on its surface. Either they lied & it's some synthetic or it has some kind of weird chemical coating, so if you like the feel of cotton or are leery of unknown chemicals, don't buy it! Otherwise, the quality, fit & finish appear to be good. Bean's isn't what it used to be, and you can no longer count on getting quality products at a fair price. They're into all kinds of weird st stuff, and the only thing you can really count on is that it'll be ridiculously over-priced.

Personally, I would prefer a shrinkable shirt and your shirts are always about an inch or inch and a half too long.

Not the shirts previously sold. The people who answer phones at LLBean still the best ever but sure that will be gone soon also!!!!

These shirts seem well made just super large. We returned them.

Bought many LL Bean shirts in 2X and they were perfectly sized. This shirt is extremely over sized.

Very disappointed with these T shirts over the past few years. The length has increased significantly. What more disappointing is the collar becomes wavey and rippled very quickly. The rest of the shirt looks new but the collar makes it look like an old T shirt. What is going on with the material you are using?

I have purchased several of these T-shirts over the years. The Gray Heather developed holes in the body of the shirt in spite of normal use. Unfortunately, I tolerated the small holes for a few years before the holes multiplied too many times. When I contacting LL Bean, the person on the phone treated me like I was a scammer trying to pull a fast one. I get it, but I have been a loyal customer and could see my multiple purchases. He eventually relented to refund me. I got another Gray in 2024, and again, one small hole in the back of the shirt. I immediately sent the shirt back. They refunded my purchase, minus a Label Fee of $6.50. Not gonna break the bank, but just irritating. Love the black, blue, and charcoal colored shirts. I'll get Gray somewhere else.

The shirrt was more like Extra large ,the shoulders were half way to my elbows.

Love the material. But, this is a huge shirt for a medium. Fits like a loose tent. Tried to shrink it to no avail. Wished I anticipated it being huge and had bought a small I never buy smallsStuck with it.

Why haven't you fixed your sizing issue? The sizing chart is nowhere near the actual sizes of the shirts. I can't understand how a company of this status can be so off on something for so long. The large is more like 47" across the chest, not the 42" as stated

Despite careful laundering, the collars always come out with "ripples," contrary to the "crisp" look I was hoping a tee shirt at this price would afford.

The fit is boxy and the material is stiff, which made it look like I had just bought the shirt an hour ago and was wearing right out of the package, even after washing. The crew neck was very tight, which also made it look and feel like the kind of shirt you'd get for participating in a fun run. Not what you want for a causal wear shirt. Thinking about it, that's what I would use this shirt for - if I had an event and wanted a screen printed memento giveaway that someone could work out in.

XL is larger with LL Bean. I should have picked a large.

Larger than expected. Bought a medium but it feels like a large. Very spacious around the arms and body.

Great shirt, good fit and feels good but spoilt by bacon neck after 1wash. Purchased 4 shirts and all had bacon neck after 1 wash. All returned. Same shirts from a year ago are looking good after many washes so lower quality on new products.

Bought several of these shirts 3 or 4 years ago for $20 each. Heavier and well made. Washed 100 plus times each. Excellent value. These are not. If I get a third of the wear out of these I will be amazed. These are less for more. You got me but for the last time.
