ecently had the opportunity totestout the new Skechers Razor4(these were provided for free by Skechers as a part of the ambassador team) and I was thoroughly impressed with the versatility of this shoe. In comparison
to the Razor3(released in late2018), which was more of a borderline race day shoe with low durability, the razor4can handle everything from easy runs to workouts. While I wouldn't use it on the race course, I found it to be a great all-around shoe that
I could use every day for any purpose. One of the standout features of the Razor4is the Hyperburst Pro midsole, which is made of TPU and features a lot of Goodyear rubber on the outsole. This adds some extra weight to the shoe, but it also increases durability
and responsiveness. In comparison to the original Hyperburst midsole, which is made of supercritical EVA, I found the Hyperburst Pro to be snappier and more responsive. It provided excellent energy return and felt great on runs of all distances. I also appreciated
the added durability of the Goodyear rubber on the outsole, which I think will help the shoe last much longer than the original Hyperburst. Another highlight of the razor4is the fit. The shoe has a snug and secure fit that feels great on my foot. It has
a good amount of support and stability, which is great for my overpronated gait. The tongue and collar are well padded, and the heel counter provides good rearfoot stability. Overall, I found the fit to be very comfortable and supportive. In conclusion, I
highly recommend the Skechers razor4.It is a versatile shoe that performs well on runs of all distances and is comfortable and supportive. The Hyperburst Pro midsole is a major improvement over the original Hyperburst, and the Goodyear rubber on the outsole
adds extra durability. While I prefer to use a different shoe for race day, the Razor4is a shoe that I would use every day for any purpose.

I literally wore this shoe everywhere...to work, to the store, walking, Theme Parks in Orlando. Most comfortable shoes ever. Super-light, amazing supports. Feet NEVER hurt in these shoes!

This is my 2nd pair. I use them for running at aerobic threshold pace down to 3k effort on the track or bike path. The forefoot is stable on the turns of the track and a have great transition from foot strike to push off.

Skechers provided this pair of Razor 4's as part of the Skechers Ambassador program. After almost 250 miles, my feelings about this shoe have been confirmed. The Razor 4 has been an excellent every day trainer for short to mid and longer distance runs, tempo workouts, and speed intervals. I have taken them as far as a 12 mile run. The Razor 4 has an excellent combination of light weight and stability, thanks to the carbon infused H plate in the forefoot. The toe box allows my bunions room yet locks in my narrow heels. I have a narrower foot, except for the bunions. Usually a D width is fine for me. I have not raced in the Razor 4 yet, but based on my longer runs, it would be my choice for up to half marathon distance based on the level of cushioning. Transitions are super smooth, I have not experienced scuffing or slapping. I have been running for four decades, and the Skechers Razor 3 was one of my favorite shoes. If you ran in the Razor 3, you will find Razor 4 has a firmer feel, especially in the forefoot. Yet, it is a fine combination of firmness and cushioning, and sleek design, unlike many of the uber cushioned shoes on the market now. I find there is no clunky feel to the Razor 4 whatsoever. If you liked the Razor Excess 2 (which I did), you will probably like this shoe as well. Since I have narrower feet, I am not sure how they will fit a wider foot. I am also a lighter weight runner, around 130 pounds, and the level of cushioning is near perfect for me.

I bought these to use for exercise. I needed a pair of shoes with a rigid sole to as recommended by a doctor and these fit. I haven't used them long enough to know how long they will last.

The Razor 4 was provided as part of the Ambassador program. Prior to becoming an Ambassador, I had a dozen+ pairs of Skechers Performance shoes, and of those, the Razor 3, Speed Freek, and Razor Excess were my favorite road shoes.
The Razor 4 feels like a combination of the best features of each of these- they're very comfortable, stable, and with nearly 500 miles on the current Razor 4s, they're amazingly durable. Several of my pairs of Razor Excess have 600+ miles on them, and I have no doubt that the Razor 4 will certainly meet/exceed that as well. At 500 miles, the Razor 4 feels more responsive than the Excess, likely due to the Hyperburst Pro foam, and ArchFit insole.
The comfort is also present in the tongue, heel padding, insole, and upper, they all are 'just right'.
If you get the Razor 4, make sure you pick a color that you like, because it's very likely you'll be running in them for quite a while! :-)

I've really liked a couple of the prior Razor iterations and these seem like a good successor. Snug fit but not tight; though somebody with a wide forefoot might want a shoe that is a bit wider.

These shoes were provided to me as part of the Ambassador program. The new Razor 4 certainly shows where the brand is going. The Razor 3 may be my favorite shoe to date but the Razor 4 is a great update to the line that will suit a lot of different uses. The new TPU foam is super springy and offers a lot of comfort underfoot. I found the Razor 4 to feel more like I was bouncing with a ton of energy return as opposed to the Excess 2 where that shoe has a great rolloff and snappy ride. The foam on the Razor 4 feels more like a lot of other brands super foams that give a soft ride while still being wicked fast. These are great for tempo runs and intervals as I have no issues picking up the pace with these on. The addition of more Goodyear rubber to the outsole will definitely increase durability and I love that the outsole rubber now extends further up on the toe. The toebox is plenty accommodating for all shapes of feet but I felt there may be a bit fabric than necessary for me. There is not much these shoes cannot do however I would reach for something with more of a racing flat feel for a race.

This isnt your usual Razor. Quality has dropped significantly. Only @ 400K on this pair and the bottom tread is worn out already. I loved the Razor 3's which I would get over 600km out of. All Razor's prior were far superior but now its all changed. I've worn Sketchers for 8 years and now I will be changing, not happy.

The weight, traction and lockdown are good. The shoe feels lifeless however. No bounce and propulsion. Disappointed as I was looking forward to the new midsole compound. Hopefully the other new shoes coming out are better.
