I have been wearing the Ecco Yucatan since they came out in the US (I was in my 40s). 20 years later I am now on my 6th pair. They have excellent support and I wear them all summer long, urban walking or remote--cement, beach, and moderate trails. No they are not a water shoe but they hold up well and dry just fine if they get soaked in rain or on a kayak. Good support and rugged enough sole. Yes you can day-hike in them. Yes you can wear them to a restaurant or an art opening. They are basic but have a nicer shape to them than comparable sports sandals. They are understated style-wise, not trying too hard. At first the non-natural materials to which the leather is attached may seem off-putting but believe me you will be glad it is there once you have walked six miles, city streets or trails. The mixed colors were off-putting to me but if you search you will find them in decent solids now. I am always surprised that I do not see more of these on people out and about on urban streets and on the trails.

This sandal is definitely comfortable. The entire footbed is padded and the arch support is excellent. I ordered the Sierra color, which is too orange for me, so I exchanged for the same style in black. Take your time adjusting the Velcro straps to achieve your perfect fit.

Ordered the Yucatan Plus but was sent the Off Road one plus they've been worn since there's dry skin flakes in the sandals! Gross! I didn't bother trying them on after seeing that so immediately sent them back.

I love these. They have enough arch support for my plantar fascitis and yet are surprisingly lightweight. And the fit was perfect. I was happy to find them in solid colors.

Definitely ordered the perfect sandal - love them! I have a small foot and ordered the 4.5 - fit like a glove! They are comfy and provide good padding. I would order these again for sure. Also, appreciate the dark color of the foot bed.

Surprisingly enough I like them. I wear a 9.5 usually and took a 41 in these as the 9's in Yucatan always seem a tad short. They fit! They have good support and the color is fun, the sierra one. It seems like a good walking sandal that will not disappoint. Also, Zappos shipped it in one day when promised for the next, which was a delightful surprise.

Extremely comfortable and durable. Wear them all the time. Will keep buying as long as they are available.

My favorite walking sandal. A euro 37 fits me length-wise, but is slightly narrow in the toe strap. This is the only Yucatan I've found where that strap can be adjusted (It separates). For comfort, the higher price was absolutely worth it. I forget I'm wearing them, which is the best compliment of all.

I like a good arch support shoe or sandal to wear in the house during the winter.

Excellent fit, super comfortable

Very good quality sandal. Versatile and good looking: you can wear with sporty clothes or a little dressier casual. Runs true to the size of your foot. Just make sure you measure your foot with a piece of paper, ruler and pen (this according to Ecco instructions). Stand on the paper, up against a wall, and mark the spot of your longest toe. Do this for both feet and which ever is longer, that's the size to order for this sandal.

I’ve been wearing an old pair of ECCO Yucatáns that I dearly love! However, in the new Yucatán pair, the adjustable strap by the toes does not close securely enough because I need it wider there. (My old Yucatán’s are not adjustable by the toes and they fit me very well). I’m sad that I need to return them!

This pair of ECCO Yucatán Plus Sandal is very comfortable to wear. Unfortunately, it is a bit big for my feet so when I walk, my ankles will slide out of the sandals even after I have tightened the Velcro as much as I can. Therefore, I have to return it. I usually wear size 5 and sometimes even a size 5.5 shoes/sandals. I do like the adjustable Velcro on the sandals.

I wish these came in wide. The length was perfect but I just needed more width. It seems the sole was made of more solid material than the last pair i had of these.

I'm returning because for some reason these don't look as good as my Ecco Yucatan sandals. They seem heavier/clunkier.

The straps across the forefoot are too short

Don’t like the split strap on the toes. Uncomfortable!
