This style is adorable, with its lovely leather and round toe. But, the toe area is quite shallow, not the expected vertical toe room in a SAS...not to mention especially for the price of this shoe! It has a different insole than the Tripad, much thicker but with NO heel cup! It's flat up to the arch contour. Then, if you take out the insole and check underneath, there is a very very hard material. It was true to size, meaning my usual 7Wide was perfect.

I wish I could love these. I’m a huge SAS fan as they’re one of the only shoe brands that rarely disappoint, sadly, these did. I have very wide feet, so part of my problem with these, they just weren’t wide enough as a Double Wide wasn’t available. The other thing is I have extraordinarily high arches. These have excellent padding in the forefoot, but very little in the back, and barely any arch support. The other problem is in design. These are very good looking shoes, stylish and cute, but as a tennis shoe the little thing on the tongue that keeps the tongue in place is poorly positioned. It’s too high up on the tongue to really work correctly, added to that were the super short laces. I bought replacement laces to deal with that and wore them around my house for two weeks prior to a trip to Idaho where I’d be doing some heavy duty hiking. Needless to say, these didn’t join me as I had intended. The day before we left I accidentally stepped off of one of my stairs and rolled my foot, in the shoe, causing a sprain. It’s not the first time I’ve sprained a foot, but this could’ve been prevented if the lacing wasn’t just wrong on these. Due to the higher point of tongue bracing the shoes are very difficult to tighten below that anchor. I was trying to break them in, instead, they broke me. Since we were driving I was able to rest my sprained foot, but it still hurt during the hikes I have gone on so far. Needless to say, when I return these exceedingly expensive shoes are also returning.

I bought these to replace my athletic shoes, and I love them! They have a slight feel of a rocker bottom which helps relieve foot pain and a wider toe box that I love. Great fit, highly recommend!!

The color is perfect but the toe box was surprisingly extra large. I normally wear 9 M. But in these Boulder I have extra space for my toes while the heel fits just right. (I've noticed that SAS sandals seem to run wide too.) They also look wide in the toe area if viewed from the top. I think I'm going to keep them but I'm not sure that I like the wide look 100%. I wish that SAS sizing was more consistent.

I was unsure about these shoes at first, first because I wear a slim (3A) and these only came in narrow (2A), but also because I, too, felt the toe box was too short. I wore them for several days around the house and found that it didn't really bother me as much as I thought it would. But better yet, I felt that my feet were not achy at the end of the day. Today I took them on a 2 mile walk outside and felt that they did well. I have chemo induced neuropathy, and these shoes helped me to walk better and my feet did not hurt at the end of the walk.

These are great. Toe box has plenty of room and depth. Tho I normally wear a nine, they only had a 9.5 and it fits great. Roomy but not too big in foot ball area or heel

These shoes seem great. They have a wider toe box than some other SAS shoes and feel great out of the box. Plenty of room for toes and seem to be comfie for feet with bunions.

Have two pairs one black & one taupe, wish there were more colors. Very comfortable, roomy toe box which is great for wide feet.

Without thinking about it the first time I wore my new shoes we went hiking through a state park! After hours of walking I realized I needed to go back to the store and get the third color as these shoes were fabulous! With wide feet and high arches finding comfortable shoes is not easy - these were not only comfortable but cute too!

I have very wide (2E-4E) feet and often have to look at men's shoes. These fit great right out of the box. I'm so glad I went to the SAS store vs trying to buy online as I likely would have ordered too small of a size.

The shoe is very stiff, not very flexible for movement and doesn't have as much cushion in it as the description says. Be aware that the shoe is wider than you think. If you normally take a double wide, get a single wide for this shoe.

These shoes seemed very large on both feet. (Measured, one foot is size 11, the other 11.5.) Without orthotics I felt my feet slope slightly to the inside (pronation) and I have put a lot of time and effort into avoiding that. They're comfortable, don't mash, pinch or squeeze. Remember however they feel larger than stated size. They are solid, not very easily bent, and would require some time and wear to break in. They are heavy, more like low top boots. Laces tighten up easily, no hassle. For feeling of pronation, unexpectedly large size, and heaviness they go back. I'm disappointed. I needed walking shoes.
I'd also recommend:

Love these! The wide toe box and deep toe box provided comfort to my problem feet (bunions, arthritis). Tried a number of SAS styles but these were the only ones comfortable for me. Tho I usually wear a 9, all Zappos had in stock was 9.5 and for SAS shoes-works gear for me

Finally found a shoe that fits, is well made and cute. After years and years trying to find the best shoe and spending hundreds of wasted dollars I finally found "Boulder" aka Smores. Thanks to a smart clerk , my feet are happy. Thanks, SAS.

These have weird proportions. The toe box is wide, but as others have said, it is also shallow. The last and tongue are short - barely covering my instep. It seems like they were made with the bare minimum of materials. I'll be returning.
