I have a small head for a man and this is one of the only hats that fits me really well. Not that it wouldn't fit a larger head for the record, but I don't have to tighten this all the way to where it looks scrunched in the back. Also light and breathable and very comfortable. Also like the the logo isn't huge, it's subtle and fashionable. I bought 2 and I'll probably buy more.

Almost the perfect cap! The fit and finish of this cap is excellent! I'm very picky about what cap I wear. My favourite cap was 20 years old and it showed! While it's still loved, I've been forbidden to wear it in public. Sothe search for a new one began. My search began and ended here. I have found a new favouriteno break-in needed. It felt like I'd been wearing it for years the minute I put it on. I've got a pretty big head, but it's easily adjusted and should fit many head shapes and sizes. I only wish the adjustment strap were longer. The colours are pretty weak, toobut I guess that's subjective. The gold Arcteryx logo on the black cap looks great! Kinda retro.

Really wish the black version did not have the yellow/gold logo. The fit is perfect. The material is perfect. Everything about it is great but why the yellow logo on black? looks tacky. Black or grey would be better then you could where it more dressed up/formally, and would have a sharper look.

I ended up getting this in the "forage" color, which unfortunately isn't exactly the same shade of "forage" as their shoes are, but it doesn't make a huge difference. I like the strap on the back, and wish more of their caps came with this type of strap. It ought to be just a tad longer, as it tends to slip out with how I have it adjusted. I'd like to get another one in black, but the yellow logo is a bit too tacky for my tastes (wish it came with a white logo!).

Overall, this is probably one of the most comfortable hats I own. Material and construction both feel high quality and I like the way it fits. As many have said in these reviews already, I ran into the issue where the back strap was too short to fit back into the hat and would flop around and look sloppy in my opinion. I have a 7 1/2 inch head which I feel is not large enough to warrant such an issue. I ended up putting two keepers from a 20mm rubber watch strap I wasn't using onto the back strap of the hat to secure the loose end. So far this has worked great and has pretty much solved the issue for me. If you don't have a spare watch strap, I'm sure a small O ring or a loop of electrical tape would also do the trick. Is it slightly ridiculous that I have to find my own solution to a seemingly obvious problem on a performance oriented hat? Yes. Is the hat comfortable enough and good looking enough for me to forgive it? I'd say so.

I normally don't wear "sporty" hats and I'm glad I bought this one. The front of the cap should be a little more formed/fit and of course the strap in the back everyone talks about. However the bigger issue is there aren't enough colors available. C'mom Arc, release more colors and take my money!

Great hat, lightweight as advertised. Unfortunately it runs small and I'm unable to wear it. It does however, fit my wife nicely! Wish they had size ranges

Hat fits and feels great. I like the materials and the design. But I'm very confused why the back strap is too short to tuck into the hat sleeve. It just flaps around without anyway to secure it. While I can't see or feel it flapping in the back of my head, it makes me self-conscious that it does.

You guys should be ashamed for shipping a single small (synthetic material) cap in a huge 21" x 24" plastic bag, in which the cap was in another plastic bag, and even the small insert to keep the hat in shape isn't recyclable. The cap has a decent profile, nice lightweight. I have every reason to expect the usual high Arc'teryx quality. Now just back off on the single-use plastic please!

I purchased this hat about a month ago and I love the fit and the way it looks from the front, however, there are two things on this hat that stop it from being perfect. The first is the size of the rear window or opening at the back of the hat. The opening is abnormally large, which can cause hair to stick out strangely and for a frequent backwards hat wearer such as myself, it can look a bit unsavory. Second is that while the hat can accommodate larger heads, there is no way to arrest the strap when it is extended, leaving the strap to stick out freely.

Great quality and materials but the hat sits too low on the head. The base of the band basically sits on top of my ears. Pretty awkward fit. I have a normal head and have never had this problem with other hats.

After adjusting the hat for my head size, the strap is now unable to be tucked in. There should be something on the strap to secure the strap.

It was too small for my head. I got headache with this cap. The yellowish Arcteryx sign looks great on black. The beam and the cap were too small for my face.

I got this hat as a gift. As usual very high quality and fits great. But it has a major flaw....the back strap loosens as I move my head. Also the strap just flops around as for some reason it doesn't include a way to secure the extra material. A simple loop would have worked fine.

I finally did it. I bought Arcteryx. And I was impressed until I took this hat on its first outing. The black took sweat stains like no hat I've ever seen and was embarrassing to wear after only one use. Basically I thought I was buying something that would last. Sadly this is not that.

I have an average size head (55-57) and the hat came down to far on my forehead and had excess material above the ears. Very disappointed because it checks all other boxes. The search for the perfect hat continues, I know your out there.

I must say, it is a stylish and lightweight hat that's great for outdoor enthusiasts. It fits comfortably and is made from breathable material, keeping your head cool during intense activities. The sleek and modern design makes it a versatile choice for any occasion. However, I encountered some serious issues with this cap. Despite securing it tightly, it didn't stand up to extreme weather. On a hike in Mont Blanc, strong winds blew it right off my head, which was really frustrating. The same thing happened in the very windy Dutch and UK weather (if you know, you know). Another downside is the material's fragility. It picks up streaks and marks easily, especially when it comes into contact with stuff like carabiners and keys, leaving it looking worn out much faster than I'd expect for an outdoor product. So, while the Arcteryx Small Bird Cap has its good points, like comfort and style, its performance in harsh conditions and lack of durability are disappointing.
