I've owned the previous version of these waist packs, the Maka 2, and I still use it to this day. That's how good the quality was. WHY change the straps to be thinner in depth and width but the bag is bigger. It's now uncomfortable with any weight in it. Even the clasps that hold the straps to the pouch aren't even the same build quality. I honestly don't recommend this bag after seeing the change in an integral part of having a comfortable strap bag. Arcteryx please explain this.

I like everything but the strap. I wish it was thicker and the edge wasn't as abrasive. If I don't have a collar to keep it off my neck it irritates my skin. All the separate compartments in this bag make organizing easy. For that reason it's a keeper.

It's really great, really the only issue is the strap. If the strap did not have the rough edges and ends at attachment and cinch sites it would be perfect. In my attempts at alleviating the sharp parts against my tops with electricians tape, many of my expensive shirts have been victim to the pulls. Word to the wise, if you buy this examine all edges! Over passed couple weeks since receiving I have added more and more tape. I really should give the purse up and likely will for my older safer ones. I love Arc'teryx and this purse minus this issue and having to add tape.

Can't stand the new strap - cuts into you if you have any weight in the bag compared to the old style and also doesn't fit as music as the old one and doesn't expand. Big bummer loved the old style and the new style isn't it. dont fix something that's not broken

I love it! Great size to keep all the stuff I need every day: the amount of pockets and compartments is perfect! For better movement I wear it as a crossbody bag. I hope it will be soon available in other colors.

Since years I wanted a bag like this! Right size and compartments, the hidden pocket for i-phone is brilliant. It would be the best xmas present both for women&men.

Love my bag. I use it for a chest bag and waist bag. It's easy to use while I'm riding my recumbent bicycle. Plus it's great for the motorcycle too

It has enough room for travel. I like the design and material. It can be carried as belt bag and crossbody bag, and also feels really comfortable. the compartments keep everything in order.

I love these bags so much I have three of them. They're the perfect size and hold much more than you'd think - most likely due to that smart pocket for your phone that's on the outside of the bag (and holds my iPhone 14 Pro Max in a case easily). Great to pack for travel for a daily carry purse and they take up no room in a suitcase. I use mine as a crossbody - it wears comfortably and sits in just the right spot. Fabric is sturdy but lightweight and looks great for many occasions - I've worn it walking my dog, on a day hike, and carried it out to dinner for casual nights out. Overall I'd give it 10/10 (if I could!) without hesitation.

I use it as an everyday carry. I really like the zippered security pocket in the main compartment and the snug cell phone sleeve on the outside of the bag closest to the body.

Love this! It's my new favorite travel purse. Holds a fair amount with several pockets, and I love the slit on the back for my phone. I agree with other reviewers that the main zipper is a bit sticky, but the strap length was great for me. Highly recommend!

This is my 3rd Mantis Waist Pack! I love the size and shape and comfort when wearing. They are also so durable!!!

I wander around New York all year round with my MANTIS 2 carrying a plastic bag for my large dog and my camera, so I've become so accustomed to it that I can do all sorts of everyday tasks with my eyes closed, from opening and closing the bag to taking out and putting away my pipe, and it's become a part of me.

I use it as a light camera bag, when camera in use it is comfortable as a waist bag, also takes sunglasses Has capacity for expansion for additional lens. Ideal size also not obvious as a theft target. I also have a Maka 2 which is slightly smaller

I love love my new Mantis 2 bag. I carry it as a cross body or on my shoulder. It has a perfect amount of room for a wallet and other necessities. What I love the most is the cell phone pocket you don't have to open the bag to use and It fits snug enough it won't fall out. The bag has strong zippers and the material seems it will last a long time.

Brought this for my trip to Cancun, I was pleasantly surprised to see this small bag can carry so much stuff. Love the inside hidden compartments so I can hide my cash, passport and jewelry. The padding material really helped and comfortable on my skin (no rubbing!). The outside narrow compartments (where the strap ends) is perfect for storing my sunglass! Whoever designed this bag is a genius!

Great bag, sturdy, and looks great. I like the thin strap. A bit smaller than I expected but that's on me for not reading the website properly.
