My first time trying out Salomon shoes. I typically buy Columbia (affordable and nice styles), and I needed to replace my water shoes I use for hiking trails with rivers, streams and waterfalls. The Techamphibian is pretty lightweight. My laces used to always come undone on the trail, so I actually love the no tie laces; great idea and design. I also like the collapsible heel, but havent had to use that feature yet. However, Im sure it will come in handy this summer. These shoes feel pretty good and comfortable so far. I have only worn them a few times, but there was no breaking in period; they just kinda fit well. My only note is the traction could be a bit better. The Techamphibians definitely have traction, but in comparison to my Columbia water shoes and other hiking shoesthey didnt have the same grip on wet rocks and surfaces. Still a great shoe but 3 times the price of my other shoes that seem to have excellent grip and traction on wet and all surfaces. Cant wait to try them out at Bridge to Nowhere, which is 9-10milesIve only worn them on 3-5mile hikes, so far so good.

I bought these shoes to use while competing on a Dragon Boat. They work so well that I purchased a second pair in a different color.

Bought these for hiking up streams to waterfalls in Hawaii and they were the perfect shoe! My feet were comfortable, protected, and sturdy no matter what landscape we were in.

I really like this shoe, not only for using in the water, also wearing while riding my bike in the hot Oklahoma summers. It gives extra ventilation at a time when padded shoe support is not needed. The colors rock. I went "light" on the comfort and durability of the product because I've not owned it long enough to really give an answer.

My husband has a male pair of these. We both do amateur cliff jumping and lots of creek hikes with nieces and nephews. These are the perfect water shoes for rocky creek beds and river swimming, if you don't like having bare feet always.

Very happy with the shoes. Finally, a shoe that doesn't cause blisters. I have an old pair of Salomons that were a size 10. It seems my left foot got a little wider, so this time I ordered a 10.5. Roomy, don't fall off my feet though. Comfortable.

I have been wearing these shoes since they were first sold. With a wide duck shaped foot I am always bowled over by the fact that I can customize the fit via laces and heel cup sash/belt. At first go, any wearer may feel that it is a bit too fussy to deal with the adjustments. After a few wears though, I am slways grateful for the perfect fit. Not to mention how wonderful the lightness of the techanphibians ! One peeve. since I have a narrow heel, I wind up with a long and flappy belt in the rear. When I was wearing these shoes in the 2000s I had 1) a shoe shop stitch down the belt/sash to make it retain a comfortable snugness and 2) trimmed off the heel belt & singed the nylon end. I havent decided if I need to do this with my new ones. In any case, I always wonder if there couldnt be a (Velcro) solution for the issue. The design is understated and the soft green is akin to dragonfly wings. I do love them.

I own multiple Salomon in the same size and was SO excited for the tan/coral combo that I ordered them the same. They ended up being .5 maybe 1 size too big and unfortunately, of course, I can't exchange because they're now sold out :(

I have always loved my Salomon shoe/runner/boot. I have a narrow foot and find that Salomon typically accommodates the issue for me. I typically say this was the best money i have spend on footwear. I however needed to return this item. The Shoe was too large, I debated keeping them, thinking, well in the summer my foot swells. I walked around my house and come to the conclusion I would have to size down 0.5 or possibly a whole size. One thing I did note on the product was, usually EU Size 40 is a US Size 9-9.5. When did the EU Size 40 equal a US Size 8?
