Love the Sense Ride 4s Goretex, 5s too narrow in the toe box. Real disappointment that one cannot rely on something as fundamental as size and fit on repeat purchases once settled into a shoe that works, especially with online purchases. Please don't do this!

First off, Ive worn Salomon footwear for work as a police officer for ten years now. I have very bad knees and the light weight and comfort provided by Salomon's help me incredibly. Their customer service, quality and warranty are top notch. I recently did a warrant claim. The process was easy and straightforward. They are incredibly fair and supportive. Through that process I purchased a pair of the new Sense Ride 5 shoes. I wear them for exercise and running. Right out of the box they fit great and were comfortable. I had had them for a few weeks now, and they are great. Ive used them for short runs (1.5 miles) up to 5 miles at a time. They offer great support and are very light weight and comfortable. I am very pleased and if youre looking for a great cross trainer type of athletic shoe get these! You wont be disappointed.

Ive had five pairs of sense ride 4s (UPS man) and Im extremely disappointed in this sense ride 5. Narrow, throws the foot forward (jamming toes), too tight if you want to prevent the jamming, doesnt have the Ortho lite insole, too much sole cushioning hurts my knees (trying to be a hoka.!???). I was lucky to find another sense ride 4 on Amazon and Im frustrated that Ill have to find another shoe after these wear out. Why change something that works.!???

My third pair of similar salomons, same size but these feel tighter. Wish they came in a wide. Also, stitching up both sides of the tongue... sometimes good to help keep the tongue straight, but these go to the top of the laces and makes it a squeeze to get my foot in. Overall good quality, but these are too tight for me.

After running on the Sense Ride 3s for the last few years, I was excited to get my new Sense Ride 5s and they did not disappoint! They are lightweight and a very smooth run. I talked my wife into getting a pair and after her first outing, she texted me and said, "2.5 miles felt good! The shoes are so light!". We are super happy!

I bought these in the same size as my beloved Salomon trail hikers (10.5 US men's) but they were agonizingly tight at that size. I had to return them and order up to a US 11 Men's. They seem to be exactly what I'm looking for but run small, plan ahead.

I loved the sence ride 4 but they got wet in dewy grass and sand, dust and teal debris always ended up in the shoe. I saw the new goretex version and they are different. These fit tighter so the new pull tab at heal is needed. They have shorter laces still let sand through the mesh but it remains in the fabric and is tougher to get out. For trail running I prefer the speed cross shoe that is perfect for me

Unfortunately these run small bought my size and unfortunately don't have an option to get ones that fit. Would need a size 15 in these.

Solomon has changed the fit of the Sense Ride from previous generations and did not inform its customers. It is both shorter and less wide than the previous generations of the shoe. My disappointment could have been avoided with a simple message on the product page of the website bu instead I had to deal with a difficult return process that does not allow for exchanges - only a return and repurchase option. Poor cusotmer service.
