To start, let me say I have at least 6 different pairs of Oboz, so obviously I fully love Oboz. One fabulous feature is they fit immediately with no 'break-in' period. These Katabatic shoes and my feet are not meant for each other. They did not come in a Wide option so I ordered a 1/2 size up from my normal boots, which is usually a good compromise with thick socks. [note that all my other Oboz hiking boots are size Wide} The 1/2 size up was maybe a little long and still much too narrow for my foot; my toes were very cramped in the toe box even considering how flexible the fabric is. If you wear a standard size this should be fine for you, but I'll need to wait for them to offer a Wide size in this particular shoe.

Really bummed - I loved these Oboz. But living in Maine with wet trails, I need true waterproof -- I was out in them on wet/ muddy trails about a half dozen times this summer before I noticed on the last hike that they were damp inside. My socks were not wet, but the shoes were noticeably damp on the inside even though they had not been overtopped. Planning to return.

Love the stability. I just purchased the mud boot too.

I wore my Katabatic lows for the majority of my 8 day trip to 4 countries in Africa. I logged 17 miles of walking from safaris to a rainforest hike to urban walking tours. I have flat feet and plantar fasciitis issues. These shoes kept my feet comfortable for the entire trip.
