I haven't skated in them yet, so this review is based strictly on comfort and differences from other Vans. These are definitely the most comfortable pair of Vans I've had. The new insoles are way better than the Popcush used in previous models; with the new ones it seems like they may be moving in the high-density/low-rebound direction like a certain skate-oriented insole company. This is good, because with other Vans I've removed the Popcush for aftermarket insoles. Some people may consider it a negative that these not removable, however, Vans may have improved comfort and impact control to the extent that it's no longer necessary to replace them. Once I start skating in them I'll try to come back and update my review on durability, etc.

Loved the look of these shoes and they felt great in the store but anytime I wear them for a couple hours I end up with really sore arches. I'm not sure what's going on. I've never had something this bad. It's a shame because I love the look and sole design.

Never had this happen on shoes before. The laces snapped on the first shoe when I tightened it, figured it was a bad lace. But it happened to the second shoe too. They were straight out the box.

I bought these sneakers on sale but wasn't sure if I'd like them . The color is good and they fit like a pair of slippers. Highly recommend.

Fit is snug in a good way, like a low top version of the Rowan 2s with more toe room but less padding on the collar. I have flat feet and they fit true to size for me, but my wife tried a pair in her size and she felt it was too narrow in the toe box and went a half size up so I do suggest you go into the store to try on before buying. Somehow it brings me back to how the Cab 7s felt on my feet many years back minus the puffiness and the air cushion in the heel (any chance of a reissue on that model btw?). The flick on kickflips and heel flips feel awesome in these! The heel counter has more structure than the ones in Skate Old Schools so it's easy to slip these on with the pull loop even with your shoes tied. The tongue has less padding than the mid-top version of this shoe and my feet feel more stable in this model. Super grippy outsole like all Vans shoes in the skate line, but the ImpactWaffle has a prominent squeak on smooth/semi smooth surfaces when brand new (the neighbors in my complex know every time I have a new pair of Vans lol). My feet did not feel sore after skating these but like the Rowan 2, it still hurt to land primo in these. I got this pair because of the mark down price and the vintage look for a daily shoe, but had to skate them for a day because they felt so good right out of the box. Great for anyone whose looking for a versatile lightweight cupsole skate shoe with really good flick & impact protection that doubles as a comfortable & stylish everyday shoe. Nicely done Vans!

Zahba is the best most sturdy shoe Vans has put out in years. Why do you keep discontinuing all your good stuff yet you keep the old crap around forever!!!

Vans can be tricky for my wide, flat feet, but these are perfect. They have a narrow heel, roomy midfoot, and wide toebox. I have Old Skools (in wide), UltraRange Neos, and Wayvees, and I like all of those, but these are my favorite. Compared to the Old Skool: WAY more cushion/support, and a wider toebox. The Zahba in Men's 10 fits almost exactly like my Old Skool in 9.5 Wide. Compared to Wayvee: The Zahba is probably tied with the Wayvee, come to think of it. I love the Wayvee's removable insole (that's the only improvement I would make to the Zahba), but I like the look and fit of the Zahba a bit more. Both shoes have a nice wide toebox, but the Wayvee runs true to size, whereas the Zahba runs a half size small. The Wayvee heel is a little wider than the Zahba, too. Compared to UltraRange Neo: The Neo runs true to size and is super soft and squishy, with a surprisingly wide heel. The Zahba is more supportive, and the narrower heel fits my foot better.

I have a few pairs of Van's but these Zahba shoes are my favorite and my go to now. They look great and they're very comfortable right out of the box. I wear an 8.5 and they fit perfectly. I get lots of compliments on them.

I couldn't bring myself to commit to the boring overpriced boomer shoes that the MTB world keeps pushing out. Plus I've been a skater my whole life and just can't step away from my roots. Got these on sale at an outlet and wow. Stiff where you need it to stop fatigue on the long rides. Flexes where you need it so you can actually walk to dinner after the long ride. Stylish and functional. Great support for the feeties, and absolutely monster grip. Tbh if they told me these were designed for riding I would've totally believed it. Only thing it's missing is some type of Velcro system or lace tuck system, and this will be a full blown MTB shoe. Idk how Vans did it, but they should really consider making MTB shoes cause these are a HIT!

Very comfortable, lightweight, lots of grip and cushion impacts if you hit your feet with the board, other brand shoes I used would leave bruises because the material was so thin not these they work great.
