I've been running competitively for 50 years. I've worn dozens of different brands of socks of many different materials. I bought my first Smartwool socks about a year ago, so I've worn them in all seasons in all kinds of weather. These are the most comfortable, warmest, coolest, fastest drying, softest running socks I've ever worn. I have 5 pairs now and I'm sure I'll be buying many more over the coming miles.

This is a new purchase for me, but I've been wearing Smartwool everyday and running crew socks, so this was a natural choice. And boy, what great socks! The wool is comfortable even after a long walk or run, and eliminates sneaker smell.

It feels as if it will suit me well for my trip. I normally don't have targeted cushioning so I will find out with more use.

I use these socks for training. I like that they have a small amount of cushioning. The color is OK but would prefer if they had come in neon green and black instead of neon green and brown.

Love these socks for men or women. Best socks for running and everyday wear with athletic shoes.

I wear these during exercise as well as everyday use. They are very comfortable, even in the hot weather. Despite feeling thick and plush, my feet don't overheat while wearing these. So far they've held up well in the wash.

6-7 miles daily walking in wooded park. These are my warmer climate socks. I do have multiple pairs of smartwool socks and will be getting more. A bit pricey but worth it.
