Runs half size small as most North Face shoes. Other than that, they are perfect.

So comfortable! I've been using these for backpacking high country routes and they help the miles melt away. They do seem to run a bit small. There's also a few spots of tread that have started to peel off the sole after 100 miles of use, but honestly not any different than just about every hiking shoe I've worn in the past decade.

It is an excellent design, but the inside layers at the top do not cover each other. The selected colors are nice, and I like them. The curve in the bottom makes it so comfortable for walking.

I liked how the shoe felt and walking. I walked around the house, it felt too tight. I went on a 3 mile hike and it never felt comfortable - it was too small. I liked the shoe and would buy it if it fit better. Going to return it and I see there is a wide model. I will order, get that one.

A lot of plastic coating. Feel like it could be a good summer hiking boot but Idk how it would perform in wet conditions or even just mud

Overall, this should be a great boot - it's extremely comfortable and has great traction. However, like many other reviewers have mentioned, the toe "plate" on both boots I purchased separated from the upper after less than 20 miles of hiking. Frankly, this sort of quality is unacceptable at the pricepoint of these boots. Customer service was unhelpful with an exchange - I was told that I had to send the boots back and pay return shipping (despite the boots being less than a month old). I would not purchase again.

I received two pairs, one was a 7 1/2, the other an 8 men's. I am a women's 9 1/2 and I usually go down two sizes for a men's shoe. Neither size fit right and both felt small and were narrow (as others have mentioned). Additionally, I found it exceedingly difficult to get my orthotics in. My regular hikers are from another brand and I don't have an issue getting my orthotics in. I would recommend trying them on in store since sizing is off. The quality seems very good.

Wanted to use it as a combination hiking shoe and lifestyle shoe. It is a serious hiking shoe and not suitable for off trail use. The fit was true sized. Bought it online and it got to Hawaii in a few days. Returned it and am a little concerned as it is sitting in the USPS distribution center for over two weeks.

I bought this pair of shoes for travel considering the waterproofness and cushioning. However, after three times I've wear them, the tip on both shoes are peeling off already, which is unacceptable considering the price and quality you would expect from TNF

Build quality is lacking. It's too bad because they're light and nice looking; but just won't last.

Gets 2 stars for fitting right and being comfortable. Unfortunately the red paint had quality issues on the left foot so I returned it.

The previous model of this shoe was fantastic. But avoid this model. They are incredibly narrow and uncomfortable. Also my boots front bumper is peeling off and I've only worn them for 3 hikes.

Tagline for this product is currently listed as: "Waterproof, breathable and designed with additional ankle support, these boots are primed to take on technical day hikes or multi-day backpacking." This shoe is: - Not waterproof. Can't tell if it's the same issue as most shoes where water just seeps into the tongue, or water is getting into those little vent holes at the top. - Yes, breathable and has some extra ankle support (which is also not waterproof to that height). - No, not primed for technical day hikes or multi-day backpacking. As someone else posted here, the bottom soles begin to separate from the shoe QUICK, especially when hiking over any meaningful rocky terrain that demand some flex in the shoe. The tread wears down fast as well. It was the only shoe I brought, so was forced to wear them for a week-long backpacking trip, and took North Face's quality at face value; did not pay off. Given I've worn them it's unlikely, but I'm hoping to seek some kind of partial refund. So far my experience with North Face is: Stick only with their fleeces / puffer jackets; everything else is pretty terrible.

The sole of the boots started to detach after using them only for two hikes. They are comfortable and waterproof, but they do not last long if you want to use them on rough terrains.

I use it in daily life but worst thing is its rigid structure, it feels so hard at sole and feet get tired after sometime of walking. Good thing is color and look but overall I am not satisfied by the product. Fitting is also too tight. I got 10.5 U.S size which is my regular size otherwise however this shoe feels too tight from front.
