This is lightweight for travel. Holds a day's clothing change, snacks and book quit nicely. Seems durable enough. Light colored interior makes it easy to find items. Cleans up quickly.

Simply love this backpack! Perfectly compact, great commuter backpack. My last backpack was way too big, always felt like I was carrying Antarctica on my back!! The shape of this bag distributes weight evenly, makes my 2 mile walking commute a breeze. Wish the front storage compartments were slightly easier to organize, but other than that, have loved this backpack!

I love my new backpack. I was looking for one that had a steady water bottle on the side. It's a lovely design with a lot of pockets. I

I liked the overall look. But the strap at the top felt flimsy for me. The fit was perfect and very comfortable. But the water bottle was not full sized on one side and the stitching also seemed not as good as other north face backpacks I have owned. I ended up going with borealis, which was more thick than I wanted. But the preferred heavier duty workmanship and construction that I expected from North Face. Happy with the borealis bag and ability to carry two full waterbottles on the sides.

I bought my first Isabella a couple of years ago to carry daily needs as I lived, walked and toured around Jerusalem, Israel. It was sleek and black. When summer came, I wanted a lighter color and searched all brands. I came back to the Isabella because it produced the lighter color I was looking for and doesn't look like I'm going hiking. Designers also added a zipper to the outside panel pocket and seemed to have slightly increased the size of the main compartment.
The quality of materials used seem a little cheap, but the pack in light and gets the job done. In my opinion, there's a design problem with the new model of Isabella in that the organization pocket doesn't have double zippers. Its single zipper finishes zipping into the water bottle pocket which makes it not as easy to access the next time you go to unzip.

Lightweight and roomy! I took it on a recent field trip to Alcatraz with my fifth graders. The backpack held paperwork, a first aid kid, extra waters, my wallet, an extra sweatshirt, and extra snacks for students. It was easy to pack and also kept everything dry in the rain that we experienced.

It's hard to tell from the photos online but this bag has some great features:
Front zippered pocket
The second zippered section has a slip pocket and a zippered compartment
The main section is spacious with a padded laptop sleeve
Then at the very top a small fleece lined pocket for sunglasses or a phone
Back padding is soft and comfortable
Coral zippers
The bottom of the bag has a nice bottom that you can easily wipe clean
I think what I love most is how this bag is fitted specifically for a female's frame. It's so much more comfortable than any other backpack I've ever owned. This one is definitely a keeper!

Super small for even my fourth grader. Had to buy another brand bookbag to fit all his things. Great color and quality though.

i bought this to replace an older version. some improvements (zipper on front small outside pouch, beautifyl dark blue green color), but 2 changes that significantly degrade the daily experience: 1) took zipper away from outside side pocket, which was great for grabbing keys without taking the whole backpack off, just one strap, and 2) removing the 2-way zipper on the smaller of two larger compartments. these cutting of corners alone almost made me return the bag. i LOVED my old version - now i'm annoyed with it constantly. still giving it 3 stars because it's one of the better small backpacks out there, but hope north face fixes these problems/downgrades in the next version. also please bring back a solid black/grey version that doesn't highlight the sporty logo so we can use this in more professional settings.

I got this backpack for my birthday last year for school. Its really sturdy but I have a really hard time fitting all of my folders on top of my computer in it. Also I have an issue with the water bottle pockets, if I have all of my folders and computer in my backpack and then try to fit my water bottle in the pockets my fingers always get crushed, the pockets are simply not big or stretchy enough. There is also two pockets on the side but if you try to put something in both of the water bottle pockets all of your folders on the inside get crushed and your computer won't fit.
I would say that if you're planning on using this as a backpack for school, maybe look at one of their other designs but I would think it would be perfect for trips because the size and sturdiness of it is really good. Also this isn't their fault but if you get a lighter color it gets dirty, so especially if you're planning on taking it on a trip maybe buy a darker color.

I love the design of this backpack, but could not believe how quickly regular wear and tear developed - I have worn through the fabric in the lower back and one of the straps within a year of using this backpack. I expected a North Face product to last longer than this.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
I wish I had realized this product seems to be marketed towards women. The color that is described as "burnt coral metallic" is actually just what would have been called "rose gold" a few years ago and the hardware is this color. The water bottle pockets are completely useless (they are different on each side). One is too shallow to hold a water bottle without it tipping out and the other is very deep and narrow, making it almost impossible to get the water bottle or your hand in. The bottom portion is really cheap feeling plastic material and is stiff.
I really wish I had not cut the tags off of this because I would love to have returned it. I always carry a backpack and this is probably my least favorite one, ever. If it wasn't clear before, I hate it.

Unfortunately I will have to return it for a few reasons.
1. Too small for my MacBook 16". I had to really force it into the pocket. I would recommend this for more of an ipad or travel sized notebook user
2. I'm used to throwing my phone, keys, sunglasses into a water bottle pocket, and water bottle on the other side. These water bottle pockets are not elastic and are very deep. So they will fit (and cover) your average plastic water bottle but don't expect a thicker stainless or a tervis-sized bottle to fit.
3. The quality is very thin. I'm sure it's fine but coming from a Jester, it just seems less durable. I'm going back to the Jester.

12 year old daughter used this backpack for school < four months. The strap began to rip off near the shoulder, so I sent it in expecting repair. Told this wouldn't be covered due to "improper use!"
Disappointed,

After only one wash the NorthFace lettering on the backpack has completely peeled off. I am disappointed as this is an expensive backpack and expected better quality.

This product can barely fit anything in it at all. It's for show, people buy it bc it's cute not to fit anything.
