Great look and true to size! Very comfortable, but there isn’t much support at the sole so it’s not great for lots of walking.

Awesome boot. Very lightweight, waterproof Chukka for the city. I would suggest ordering a full size smaller than your typically tennis shoe. I wear a 10.5 and had to exchange for a 9.5.

The takeaway: Good ankle support, decent traction, fairly lightweight, real leather upper, divisive looks The good: Functionally as a hiking boot, these are pretty solid performers. Compared to similar boots in this class, the weight is favorable and the mid style provides good ankle support, especially in rocky or unflat terrain. Durability this far has been good, no doubt due to the real leather uppers. They will scuff so if you want picture perfect boots, these are not for you, but I think the patina adds character. The so-so: The treads provide decent traction in dry or gravel conditions, but are a bit too slippery in wet or muddy terrain. Also, they appear to be wearing fairly quickly, as the outsole is pretty soft. To be expected in a lightweight boot but still somewhat disappointing. Compares more to soft Wolverine work boot treads than most hiking boots. The bad: Subjective looks not for everyone. Though very sleek and clean, they definitely show their work boot heritage.

Timberland sent me this free sample through the BzzAgent sampling program. These boots looked great right out of the box and I was excited to wear them. I have worn them out a few times and they are extremely comfortable. They are clearly very made with great attention to detail and I can tell they are durable. I'm sure they would do great on a trail, but I have not yet used them for that, they look too good! These offer solid support for those prone to ankle twists.

Lightweight, comfortable, and simple like a sneaker but water resistant with good traction like a boot. However, I think its more oriented for a casual/bad weather boot rather than a hiking boot.

Thanks for the free product! I really like this hiking boot. It is very stylish and feels nice too. I don't think I would take it on the trails, though. It is good for casual wear, but it doesn't feel as durable as other hiking boots. Still, very nice. If you like the style and can afford it, then I'd definitely recommend.

I worn them on my recent cruise trip and I got a good complements on the shoes. They are very well made and they should last a few years if I take care of them. I had a splinter on my left ankle where the shoes top ends. Other than that, I don't have any complaints. I would recommend this for its durability. Also, it is a half size too big for me!

I have never worn high top shoes like this before and had never heard the work "chukka" before seeing it on the box when I received this sample of shoes. After trying these on, I am sold. I will be wearing these very comfortable shoes during my work trips and date nights going forward.

I really like this shoe. It's super comfortable, durable, and it's elegant. I usually wear a size 11 or 11 1/2 and I went down to a 10 since I know Tim's run large, however it's still about a half size too big which I believe is surprising. I really like the shoe though. It's great in all weather. I wore it when it was raining and I didn't feel like the shoe was damp at all.

Great everything. Then I put them on for the first time and the loop on the back of the shoe that you use to pull the shoe on disintegrated. It fell apart. DO NOT INSTALL A PULL LOOP UNLESS IT CAN BE USED TO PULL A SHOE ONTO A FOOT.

These look great. I cannot believe how big they are. They are a size larger than my normal shoes.

My son loves these shoes and only wears this brand. He does A LOT of walking and within a year the soles are worn completely down or there is a nickel size hole in the sole. I still bought him 2 more pairs for Christmas and hope they last.

These are pretty typical boots in the sense that they run big and don't offer that much in comfort additions. I love the style, like with most Timberlands, but what you get in style you often sacrifice a bit in comfort. I wear a wide running shoe (Brooks), and these boots fit pretty snug in width terms. Have to be broken in somewhat. Not much support, either - would recommend insoles (again, as with most boots).

I wear a size 10 boot normally in other brands so I bought a 10 in these and they are huge. I should have bought a 9.5 or maybe even a 9.

Initially I very much like the look. Everything feels durable. The back of the shoe where the loop is and connects with your ankle is my issue. It digs into your tendon with no padding while the sides are very padded. I want to love these and maybe there's a break in period, but for a casual styled shoe, I'm unsure if I'd recommend this style to other. Great materials either way and attractive!

The actual shoe style is nice but first impressions out of the box were bad. I noticed right away how the black color is bleeding into the white then. Also, the shoe had some weird glare patches on black that you will see on the picture. The material that's used is odd and will show all those imperfections very easily. I assume that these scratches/patches are from simple shipping handling and can't imagine what they will look like after few months of wearing them. I wear size 9 and I got these in size 9 and they are size and a half too big.

Upper leather rubs on my ankles so much they are very uncomfortable. Do not buy unless You like to wear very thick socks with them.

Terrible quality, the worst shoes I've ever had. They lasted exactly one season. They got heavily deformed for some reason - lost their shape. Although I usually avoid squatting in shoes to prevent creases, these boots most likely lost their shape due to water when I tried to clean them. Very dirty. Although I regularly clean and touch them up, they catch dirt very easily. Good thing I got them on sale with a big discount, but even that money feels wasted. Also, The sole is very delicate; my heels usually don't wear out. Here, they do wear out.

Love the look of these shoes hence the purchase, but after about a month of wearing them they started to squeak to an obscene about. Every time I stepped I was horribly loud and would draw attention in a negative way. Save your money unless you want to sound like Chucky from the Rugrats.
