My child has been wearing Velcro Old School Vans for almost his entire life. (He's 9 now). He has trouble with his motor skills, and hasn't mastered tying shoes yet. (Autism/Developmentally Disabled/Speech Delayed). These shoes give him a tiny bit of independence; which he LOVES. My only complaint is that there aren't more colors, & styles. Please consider offering more choices; Special Needs kids like to look good, too! Also, bring back the grey!

Who woulda guessed Vans would ever make a red velvet slip on? Practical? Not really. Awesome? YES! This is my favorite pair of shoes now, and that's not an easy thing to say, as I have multiple pair of Vans customs - many with my name embroidered on the heels. Red velvet. Now I have to buy a smoking jacket and a briar pipe. I don't even smoke and look what they made me do

They're comfy, easy to get in. I love the color and they just look so fresh and so clean clean.

Since I wear my VANS on the daily I need a good rotation. These are a stunner! Colors pop, and skulls are awesome. As comfortable as ever. Great construction as always. I'm 60 and I've been wearing these since I could get them on the east coast! Love!

I have probably a total of 15 pairs of Vans ranging from all different styles. But, I honestly can say the velcro ones are my absolute favorite. I'm on my 3rd pair of black/black ones. I would LOVE to have a pair of red ones, blue ones, some checkered. Would love a variety of the velcro ones. So, overall this is a perfect shoe! Thanks VANS!

I work with special ed kids and I need my toes to be covered and I am very active during the day. These are the most comfortable shoes for my back and my knees and my age and my work. I love them and would buy them over and over again.

Bought for my son with autism, he can't tie shoes laces but can independently put these on and feel cool for middle school

the velcro straps makes these shoes so easy to put on and take off. the added bonus is that they are both cute and comfortable. these are my daily shoes and i have not gotten tired of them!

It's not that I can't tie my shoes but given the option I'm going Velcro! These are my second pair of this model and I really love them. True to size and comfortable as all heck. Probably just going to get the whole collection of colors at this point. Try them !!!!!

The weight and look sleek and cool

I have two pairs. These shoes are my go-to. I wear them with dresses, shorts, and jeans. I'm a bit lazy when it comes to tying laces therefore I prefer slip-ons and these with the velcro closure. By now I would own more pairs if they offered more colors.

First time buying a taller Vans shoe and it did not disappoint. True to size. Be careful of sock choice higher up in the ankle. High quality and well designed shoe thanks Vans

Additionally, for skateboarders, a lace-free shoe seems like a superior option, minimizing the risk of laces coming undone during a session. I'd love to see the Old Skool V become available as a custom shoe option, allowing fans to further personalize this already outstanding design.
