These shoes felt superbly comfortable, but they looked terribly ugly and clunky. I wish I could have persuaded myself to keep them, because they felt so great, but I couldn't.

OrthoFeet says this style needs to be ordered 1/2 size up from your usual size. I also found my normal Medium width too narrow. Once I went up 1/2 size and to wide from medium, they were great. I really like how these come with various inserts to increase the arch support and make the fit a little snugger. It's true that they won't win any beauty contests, but if you need the support and customization ability and are required to wear compression hose, they are a good warm-weather option.

Sorry, but yuck! Orthofeet should try to make comfortable shoes that don't look so awful!

Like many supposedly Wide shoes, these sandals had a wide enough base — but the material for the top of the shoe (the vamp?) was skimpy. I did not envision the synthetic material stretching out with time, so am returning them.

This is my 3rd pair of Orthofeet shoes. They are a little too short compared to my other shoes. I order 1/2 larger, and all is fine. The company includes 2 extra sole inserts and an arch insert so the shoes can be tailored to my feet.

Nice as pictured and felt true to side and width, however, there are a lot of seams on this shoe due to the design and one of them hit on a spot that I knew would be constantly rubbing me and hurting.

Very nice and attractive shoe, but my feet, in addition to being narrow, are thin, and are difficult to fit. They just didn't feel right on my feet.

I think this is a great walking shoe for an everyday commuter. There was a bit of a learning curve with the straps, canvas string and arch supports. There are also insoles included if the shoe slips. Very customizable. When I figured out what worked for my foot & ankle, it was a good shoe. Slightly uncomfortable until then. The grip on the canvass string broke but it can still be used like or with a round shoelace. Good shoe.

Over the last year, i have had increased issues with my feet. I used to be able to wear 8.5 w, and occasionally regular widths if the shoe was large toe boxed. I have arthritis and its gotten worse, with bunion and corn issues, so i have had to try finding wider shoes. I tried this as 8.5 x wide and 9 x wide (website says go up a half). Unfortunately, both sizes still hit and rubbed my right small toe along the side and top, so that i would not be able to walk in them- they are being returned. I am very bummed and frustrated. I think the style was ok, and the rest of the shoe would have been ok if not for the width. I will try a shoe that has fewer straps next time and see if that works. I don't understand why there aren't more shoes made for x wide or larger.

the shoe felt great but the bottom felt too slippery for my needs-- Not enough tread--I want a shoe that works on wet surfaces and this definitely did not feel good for that. I am returning.

I really wanted to love these. Despite ordering a wide they felt a bit tight on the sides of the toes. They really aren't attractive, undecided between being a sandal or a sneaker. If they fit, they might serve a good outdoorsy purpose

These are very cheap looking, and although they were supposed to be “extra wide”, the toe box was too narrow.

I ordered this shoe in 2 sizes and fortunately the other one seems good right now. This item, the 6.5, must have been returned by someone else who removed and kept the inserts for the shoes.
