I'm still not sure whether I want to keep my new Walk Easy shoes. I needed a walking shoe a bit longer than my previous shoes. But I have extremely narrow heels. I bought the size 8.5 Slim. Unfortunately, with every increase in length, the SAS shoes increase slightly in width. So now my toes have space, but, with every step, my heels slip in the shoes. I do like the shorter tongue, as compared with the "Tour" style. (Now I'm thinking the "Freetime" style may be the best compromise.)

Note this review is ONLY applicable for people who have to wear plastic custom insoles for foot problems. My insoles scrape against the side of the shoe, producing an embarrassing noise every step I take. I have been wearing plastic insoles for decades and with other shoes I have either put baby powder in the shoes a few times or used Vaseline around the edges of the insoles a few times and either one of those will solve the problem permanently. Not with these shoes! I have tried both solutions multiple times and still get the noise! Don't know what is different about these particular shoes, as I have been wearing SAS for about 20 years.

I always buy SAS now...I have painful feet and they always deliver a remarkable and stylish shoe! I wanted to love this shoe so much - because I have a winter vacation with a lot of walking coming up soon...but for some reason the shoe did not like me. The right shoe, in particular, seemed to irritate my front foot so I had to send it back. Otherwise, it was very supportive. I had ordered two other pair at the same time and they are working out great.

I'd had a pair several years ago. Since then I've broke a bone in my foot. I have high arches. Had to tie so tight the tops of my feet were hurting . I had to ice them when I got home from work. I'll stick with the Liberty model.

First, the footbed is comfy. The shoe is well made. However, I am disappointed in this purchase. I ordered an 8W. This shoe is a half size larger than my other SAS 8W shoes. I thought the shoe just needed to conform to my foot. Sadly, it slips on my heel, and has loosened even more after just two afternoon wearings. Additionally, I received the shoes with the right shoe leather dimpled about an inch up from the toe's end, and the tongue is a shade lighter with a whitish look like it is sun-faded. I thought that the leather would smooth out, but it hasn't, and I thought that I could live with the tongue, if the leather issue and fit concern resolved itself. I wish that I had returned the shoes. I never expected a size, leather and discolored tongue issue from this company; especially for the price! Now, I'm afraid to purchase other styles from SAS.

Thought I would use these shoes on a visit to Arizona. Found them to be too slick on the bottom, too heavy overall. Do they have steel toes? Mostly good for squashing bugs. Very uncomfortable as well. Pretty expensive and regret my purchase.
