These shoes are rather clunky and make a weird noise when I walk in them. I'm not crazy about them. However, they are pretty comfortable and see to have a stable base.

They allow way too much sand inside of the shoe and small rocks get caught inside of the Velcro strap at the side of the foot causing a lot of pain.

If you love the smell of mildew, these are the shoes for you. I really love the fit and feel of the shoe, but they do not drain or dry well. I wish they had put some thought into that aspect considering it is a water shoe. I love all my other Tevas, but these shoes was just a disappointment.

I had great hopes that these would be like my Teva water sandals but with mesh so those pesky little river rocks couldn't get under my feet on kayaking and rock hounding trips, but I never got to the river, I just couldn't do it! I'm sorry but these shoes look and feel clownish! I ordered my regular Teva size but they were to big, to make matters worse there is so much extra sole around the shoe that the foot print is at least a full size bigger than the shoe needs. I don't understand why this was done as your other water shoes are great, they just need a mesh lining. They appear well made just not very practical for athletic people, it's no fun tripping over your own feet.

I love my Teva sandals so I thought these would be great. They simply aren't comfortable. For short walks they are fine but over time they hurt the back of my feet and the bottom.

I saw all the positive reviews, but that was not the case for me. The shoe is comfortable when you first put them on, but after walking a couple + miles the foot beds of my feet were very red and sore (no arch support). I hoped it was just a matter of breaking them on the 1st day.. but nope! :(

When I first tried this on I was so excited. These shoes are COMFORTABLE and fit perfectly out og the box. I purchased them for kayaking and hiking, but unfortunately they have worn out before I had the opportunity to use them for that. I have worn these shoes probably around 5 times for light errands, and the velcro strap has stretched out so quickly that now when i pull it snugly to fit, the velcro overshoots completely and cannot latch. If I just match it up, there's about an inch of extra loose strap around the ankle. You can't even size down because the width and length of the shoe are accurate, but the loose ankle makes it unwearable. I cannot imagine these holding up on an actual hike. Unfortunately, a very expensive miss.

They didn't work for me. I am a fan of Teva's hurricane products. This shoe was uncomfortable. Stiff. Shaped oddly. The toe of the shoe rises. They look cool. I wanted them to work. Alas.

Wore these a few times around the house and they felt great. Good support and I liked them having 3 straps, got a good tightness all around. But using them on an actual water hike they sucked. Any uneven surface that pronated or supinated my foot and the triangles between the middle and back straps dug into my ankles. Bruises and cuts on each side of both ankles. Bummed I can't keep them, they're perfect otherwise.

These shoes are now unbearable due to warping of the insole. I get horrible blisters and just cannot wear them anymore.

For years I have used the Teva Hurricane XLT, Omnium and Grandview Gore-tex hiking boots. They are made from good quality materials, provide great support and are very comfortable. However, these Outflow Universal shoes are a disappointment. The sole is thin and provide no arch support. The triangle plastic is too high and hits the lateral malleolus (the outside bony prominence of the ankle). This was mentioned on one of the reviews, I should have given it more serious considerations. The fit is not the same as it is for the other shoes/sandals. I bought the same size 6 and it was too big. I only tried the shoes on once when I received them, did not even go outside. I returned them. I bought them only because at the time the Omnium for women was not available on the Teva site. I thought they were discontinued. The Omnium is available again today, I bought one. Will see if it is the same quality. Of note, I have to thank Teva for the very easy and simple return process and refund.
