Glad I I waited to write a review till I had more experience with these boots. My first impression was that they were too roomy and I should have ordered a 9. But with cushy hiking socks and my 3/4 orthotics, the fit was fine. Very large toe box. They're very lightweight, which has its drawbacks. They're great for turfed, mulched, and firm/paved surfaces when you encounter some elevation. They also dry quickly. When it comes to uneven trails strewn with rocks and roots, I prefer my Keen hikers because they have a stiffer, more substantial sole. In short, the elevation hikers are a good compromise between well-made, substantial athletic shoes and sturdy hiking boots.

Absolutely love these! I walked into the ocean with them on and my feet were completely dry. Also wore them hiking in the Grand Canyon and they were great! Very comfortable, appropriately supportive.

Overall, these were the style of boots I was looking for. They are very lightweight, look nice, and are more of a hightop sneaker. However, there was something going on under the insole in the right side of the hiking boots I received. Maybe a mistake in manufacturing, but the left side was nice and flush, and the right side felt like there was some bunching. Also, the top shoe-lace is positioned just above the tongue of the sneaker, almost rendering it useless. I hate to just skip lacing the top lace though, because the shoelace can catch the rivet and trip you pretty bad.

Love them as much as my Keens. Lightweight and comfortable. I was reluctant to purchase this style because I feared the height would give me that bruised feeling around my ankles like other high-tops I have purchased, but surprisingly they do not. Great price! Very happy with my purchase.

Great fit. These boots are so comfortable. No need to break them in. I ordered a second pair.

Super comfortable for long hikes. Lots of support. Water resistant. Sized up to make sure I could use thick socks (usually a size 7 or 7.5). After stepping into a freezing river, socks were still dry. Feet were killing me after a hike (a lot of uneven terrain), but I felt better the next day, no lingering pain. Stepped wrong at one point and the long neck kept my ankle from rolling. Best buy I'd made in a while.

I sized up (8.5 instead of 7-7.5) and they fit great with thick socks. Hiked a steep, unsteady terrain and when I took a wrong step, the high neck kept my ankle from rolling. Nice bonus of being water resistant when I walked along a river bed with freezing water. Very comfortable and super lightweight. My feet were tired from walking during a weekend trip, but not in pain the next day. Highly recommended for hikers. Will buy a new pair of hiking boots/shoes from LL Bean once these are beat up and worn out.

I just got these boots for field research and I couldn't be happier! They are super comfortable and fit like a glove. I normally wear a women's 10 or 11 shoe, depending on the style and the sizing feature really made it easy to make sure I was ordering the right size.

I almost returned my boots because I wasn't thrilled with the insole, but so glad I didn't. I know some of my friends love the insole but it wasn't working for me so I replaced mine with a softer insole from another boot. Perfection! They're so light, and warm (40 min walk in 21 degrees F today and perfectly toasty!) They also add an element of stability when walking over uneven ground. I love these boots!

Originally from South Carolina, I ordered a different pair of boots for an outdoor trip to Maine. Long story short, we ended up going to one of the LL Bean stores in Maine and I found these. Total comfort! My feet have stayed dry the entire time from snow, dirt, mud, slush you name it! The best all purpose boots. I will 100% be getting these again.

I bought mine last spring, so they are probably last year's version. I just started wearing them this fall and discovered that I love them! They are so lightweight and yet warm.(100 grams of primaloft). I put them on in the morning and forget about my feet the rest of the day because they are so comfortable. And they look good, too. I highly recommend them.

These boots are very comfortable even from the first wearing. They have a sneaker look which is very attractive. I haven't worn them in the rain yet, so I don't know how waterproof they are. My only negative is that it is difficult to lace my the hooks at the top of the boot. The last one is at the edge of the top and frequently slips out.

I have returned the first pair after multiple reviews said to order your regular size (I am a solid 71/2). Even with thinner hiking socks my toe was at the end of the front of the shoe. I liked the look and general feel of the boot and hope the next size up will work.

Very comfy & great waterproofing. Wore them on 2 short hikes.

Hiked 9 day through the South Island of New Zealand and they were the most comfortable pair of boots. They have great foot support. I wore them all day on mountains and in streams and rocky beaches. I would buy again if needed.

My husband and I bought these boots for a trip to the Pacific Northwest. We love them! They are very comfortable and needed no breaking in time. They are lightweight, so they don't weigh down our suitcases when we are traveling. One day we biked the seawall in Vancouver and it poured rain all day. Amazingly, at the end of the day our feet were still dry. The best part of the boot is that we wore them all day and our feet never got sore like they do in other boots.
