Comfy and fun to wear. Good for the casual lifestyle of the California Central Coast. Flexible, but give good support. Good traction, but do not pick up dirt and mud. Believe them, that you must order small. I ordered my regular size, 8n but they were way too big. So, I replaced them with size 7n and they are perfect in both length and width.

These shoes run much bigger than i expected. I ordered them online, drove to the store to return just to be sure i was getting the correct size. I typically wear an 8 wide, I ended up with a 7 regular. Everything went very well. They exchanged them, no problem. I couldn't be happier!

Perfect shoes, my wife loves them.dont mind doing review, but dont like the minimum word requirements.

I adore these shoes, but the sizing is kind of ridiculous. I wear a 10.5 in other shoes and had to return 2 pairs before I settled on an 8. That's kind of crazy! Nevertheless, they're comfortable, versatile and easy to get on/off. Perfect for dog walking in this New England weather.

These boots are always top notch. I started wearing them in college and still wear them today.

Shoes were well-made and good-looking. Soles were comfortable under my feet. Pleased to find narrow widths. Normally a size 10, sometimes 10.5, it felt odd to order the 9, but the length was just right. My problem was the width, and difficulty drawing it any tighter. My foot moved a good bit within the shoe on each step. There are laces, but I think those are more decorative than functional, as drawing them in tight crinkles the leather tab at the front and didn't bring the shoe in close enough, enough with heavy socks. So, the sizing advice was spot on for length. The uppers were wide for me, but I am told that my foot is not just narrow, but extra-narrow. They are lovely shoes and I wish I could have kept them. The return was straight-forward. I will likely explore a different style in the future, maybe when I am able to visit a physical store to try on.

I love these boots for slipping on to go into the backyard to do yard work. I love them so much I'm giving a pair to my two sisters for Christmas. They are sized for a man. I wear a women's size 9.5 and bought the 8.

Very comfortable. Order down as suggested by LL Bean and reviews. Really like the olive green trim on brown.

Best all around outdoor shoe ever...runs BIG! I wear a size 7 1/2 and a size 6 fits perfectly. Bought them in black for formal wear!

These are great shoe/boots. They do run big, so I had to return the 11's I originally ordered and ordered 10's. They were plenty big, but kept them. I did have a chance to try on size 9's. I could wear them with thin socks, if need be, but I'm sticking with the size 10's.

Good looking shoe. I had to return because they ran so big. My foot is small and wide. The width was great. Color I wanted was not in size 5.

I am taking the time to do this because I want to share my insights. I typically wear a 9 1/2. I read they ran long so I ordered an 8. When they arrived I thought they were not going to work but I didn't return them and I ordered a 9. They were way too long so I I started wearing the 8. I have been living in them. My toes are right at the end of the boot but its OK. They are not uncomfortable in the least. I am so glad I have them and didn't do a return.

I love LLBean but feet change and since wearing LLBean mocs 20 years ago and for 20 years, lasted forever, and it was time to get new ones. However, I just could not get right size to feel comfortable after two trys. I would still recommend and I will definitely order again, Unfortunately had to return, so back to plastic bags in my mocs bought a long time ago and have minor little leaking issues of feet getting wet.

They are great but had to send the first pair back they were too big! They run a size larger.

I read other reviews about the Rubber Mocs before I ordered mine, so I ordered size 9 medium width. I normally wear 9 or 9.5 in medium width. They were much too wide. I spoke with Lorraine at LLBean and asked if size 9 was available in narrow. Yes indeed! The size 9 narrow are great! I actually put an insole in them to snug up the heels. With the strings tied tightly, they are perfect. I look forward to rainy days so I can wear my brown mocs!!! Of course, they look great other days as well.

I have to wear two pair of socks and they fit fine. I didn't have any thick socks to try. I really like the shoes.

They are my second pair. Easy on and off. I'm a size 10, tried the 9 still too big. Size 8 was just right even with medium weight wool sock. They are just what I need everyday here in the north country especially during mud season. Actually good for all seasons.

I bought these to replace a different style of LL Bean mocassin that finally wore out. I have always wanted this style, but couldn't get the right size in the past. As others have mentioned, these run at least a size too big. I normally wear a 7.5 wide, and had to return the first pair of mocs in a size 7 wide because they were huge - no amount of big fluffy socks would have worked to make them fit. The 6 wide is the perfect fit with a bit of a "clog slip" with thin socks, but a more solid fit with thick socks. On the topic of socks, I find the mocs rub the ankle area a little when I wear low-cut socks, but there is no discomfort with a sock that goes above the ankle. The shoes are great for shorter walks (less than 1 mile), errands, and even comfortable enough to wear for a movie out (i.e. for a few hours at a time). But I don't think they would be comfortable for longer walks through the woods - I switch to hikers for that. For gardening, these are great: they keep the water out and clean up easily. However, I did find that some debris sneaks between the shoe and my sock. These are great for situations that don't require a full rain boot or snow boot. Overall, I am very pleased with the mocs and would recommend them.

I'll get to how much I love the shoe in a second. BE WARNED. Don't take all of the "these shoes run large" guidance to heart. Trust your gut. I'm a 9/9.5 and LLBean said size down A LOT. So I got an 8. And they were simply too tight. I tried for a few weeks but couldn't make them work. I asked LLBean to pay for the shipping to send them back and customer service said they couldn't do that -- I exepect amazing customer service from LLBean and was really disappointed with their response that was somewhat flippant and not really willing to make it right. That said I LOVE the shoe -- and I'm ordering it in a size 9 b/c it is so great -- I use it to walk the dog in rainy Seattle and it's perfect -- easy to slip on and my feet stay dry!

I purchased my original pair 4 years ago. I was eager to get a pair so I settled for a pair one size too small. I ended up never wearing them. I called and LL Bean exchanged my old pair for the correct size!!! I cant speak highly enough of the customer service!!! As for the shoes. They are slightly bigger, I wear a size 10 with regular pair of socks. so the duck boots are slightly big with daily socks but the minute I put my heavier socks on they fit perfectly. I am very pleased with these shoes!!!

I am a diabetic and was taking my chances but the fit was perfect. I ordered a size down and had no trouble. Thanks to customer service for answering my questions.A comfortable moc!

Everything that I have ever bought from LL Bean is great and these boots are no exception. They were purchased for my wife for Christmas. I am confused, however, by the size drama. My wife wears an 8 or 8.5 always. The instructions for ordering were to order a size to size and 1/2 smaller, but this didn't work. The 7 was way too short but wide enough. We had to return for an 8 in a narrow width. I have 2 questions: 1) Why not offer 1/2 sizes? 2) Why not just make the shoes and label them in the correct sizes. I wear an 11 in almost every shoe, but I also had to purchase a 10 last year when I bought my shoes. If you know that your shoes are a size to big then why not just change the sizes? Am I missing something? Anyway, thanks for the great quality and friendly service!!

You made it clear that you should order a size down from regular but because my foot is a bit wide, I ordered my regular size as i wanted to wear with heavier socks. They were way too big. I appreciate the return label and dropped off at UPS yesterday and am eagerly awaiting the correct size moc for me.

Purchased a pair as a gift for my wife. Reading the order instructions, it said they run big and suggested to order a size smaller...which I did. My wife wears a size 7, so I ordered a size 6. When the arrived and she tried them on, they were still too large for her...even with the thickest socks she has. Sadly I had to return them as size 6 is the smallest they offer. She was, lets say, heartbroken as she really liked them. They appeared very well made and looked extremely comfortable provided a correct fit.
