12/1/23 I love these boots, they are comfortable and fit great with a thin sock. The arc is supportive which I need. I usually wear a 10 1/2 wide sneaker and because it says the boot runs big with thin socks to order down a size. I ordered a 9 and they are perfect. I can easily still wear a slight thicker sock and they'd fit. The tops of my feet are very skinny but the design allows the tightness I need. My big toe has about an inch to be touching the end of the boot. I also like that the soles are rubber which give a better grip on slippery sidewalks or trails. The boot has a small heal which doesn't affect walking. I'm 65 and 5'6" perfect for rainy wet days, for walking or working in your yard.

I was passing through Freeport Maine and wanted to try on various bean boots. The sizing is unique..and I didnt do well with mail order. I decided on these and had them shipped. The salesperson was more than helpful and I didnt feel rushed. My only wish is they came in brown color.

I love them! I work at a plant nursery and spend a lot of time watering plants. I was tired of having wet tennis shoes and wet socks all the time. I have boots for cooler weather, but wanted some "summer" waterproof shoes. These are perfect. They keep my feet dry and are very comfortable. The first couple days some blue dye did come off on my white socks around the ankle, but that's not a big deal for me. I normally wear shoe size 7 1/2 or 8, but the 8 was sold out so I ordered a 7. They fit great! But I am wearing thinner socks than I would in the winter. I wear them for several hours at a time, and they're fine. I rated the size as running big, since normally I am not able to wear a 7.

I wore my last pair of LLBean Gumshoes (size 7) for decades and absolutely loved them. After 20 years or so, the rubber soles wore out and no longer provided traction, which is why I made this purchase. I wouldn't buy any other shoe/boot for the kind of rainy, muddy and snowy weather we get here in northern New England. LLBean Gumshoes last for a really long time, giving great value for my $$. As long as LLBean keeps making them, I'll keep buying them!

Was looking for a good wet weather shoe for walking the dog - this is a winner. Good support; works well with regular or thick socks depending upon the temperature.

Great fit, well constructed, waterproof and best of all it gives me that classic New England look I wanted. I chose this style because I didn't want a high-laced boot and was happily surprised that it still kept the snow outside of the boot! I've worn it driving, in stores, while shoveling snow, etc and it's so comfy, I forget I'm wearing a boot... something I cannot say about any other boot I've worn in the past. I really LOVE this boot and I'm very happy with my purchase!

comfortable, run big, but great for heavier socks. love the color . I wear them out walking in heavy dew. waterproofed bottoms. please do not change this item!!

I can't believe how much I love this shoe! I wondered how they'd be here in Houston in heat, but on a warmer day recently they were great! They are adorable. I usually wear size 8, ordered down a size as recommended and they fit like a glove. You can't go wrong with these. One question.....more colors coming?

Best shoes! Comfortable and light. So happy I got them. I have all the LLBean boots and this pair is my favorite. Highly recommended.

I bought these LL Bean Gumshoes to replace a pair of Bean Mocs that I must have worn for twenty years! These are perfect for better support and secure ties. I wear them with medium to heavy socks to take care of our chickens and feed the birds every morning. I love the navy color. I wear an 8.5 shoe and ordered an 8, which fits just fine.

I want to give this gumshoe a rating of 10 stars. They are so comfortable and fit perfectly. I ordered a size 9 and this size was just right. I do a lot of work outside so these shoes are perfect. My feet stay dry and warm and the tread keeps me from slipping.

The boots were a good fit and very comfortable. These are replacing a 15 year old pair that finally gave up the ghost due to heavy use in the garden.

What a perfect short boot for mucking about. I typically wear a size 9 in most shoes and sized down to an 8 for this shoe. There is mild arch support which I augment comfortably with an insert. The fit is spot-on even with a thicker hiking sock in chilly conditions.

Added my arch support insoles to make these shoes super comfy. The shoestrings are thin enough to tie and STAY tied! Love the color and that my feet can stay dry on rainy, slush days!

I wear these at the ranch! They are better than cowboy boots as they are more comfortable, better water resistance and resistant to stickers and critters. Awesome!

Great shoes for walking the dog in the wet weather.

Thanks to these comfortable, waterproof boots, I now have dry feet during my early morning dog walk across a big park next door that is always wet with dew.

The shoelaces were too short and I could barely get them tied.

I am a size 7 and I tried, a 7, returned it; tried again with 6, returned it - too big, tried size 5! Still too big. I gave up.

Got these as I have 2 other pr of low cut tie LLB boots. BUT! These were soo tight around my ankle bone, I walked around the house w/them for several hr and I could NOT get used to these! They cut right smack into my ankle bone and I knew I would NEVER be able to get these broken in. So back they SADLY go! I guess I need to stick to certain boots I have. These just got up too high on the ankle for me! I LOVED the purple too! So sad!
