I love this. It is warmer than the average sweatshirt, with the fleece lining, and even the hood is nice and warm! And long enough to cover jackets layered underneath. But order a size up. I normally wear a 1X, but for outerwear I like to layer and get a 2X. For this, I heeded the previous reviews and got a 3X. I am very happy I did.

It's quite warm! Wore it unzipped with hood down in mid 40 degrees weather for a 45 minute am walk (5 mph wind). It was too warm and cozy! Excellent fit and will try it out on a mid 30 degrees am walk. The hood is well proportioned and the total look is very stylish - love the color (Twilight)!

These are wonderful jackets. I bought two last season and a third this year. LLBean's sizing is amazingly consistent; a medium in any top or jacket is always a perfect fit for me at 5'4" and 130 pounds. I like having a hood, sometimes even indoors when there's a draft, and I always look for a drawstring tie instead of elastic. The sweatshirt-type sleeve lining in this jacket makes it easy to pull on over a sweater. Perfect for outdoor walking on a mild Ohio day or for indoor wear through the winter.
