That an expensive hoodie doesn't have a zipper garage/protector is negative for me. My personal preference would be that the pocket was fleece against the body, not mesh.

Extremely warm my only issue is that it is pilling

This is very comfy and warm. It runs a bit large. I am 5'6" and 160 lbs and ordered a medium and it is roomy. Also, the red is very bright!

I read every review of this before ordering and let me just say ladies, if you think this fleece looks "old" or "worn" it's not! It's the fleece style! It says right in the write up it's Sherpa style. There are many different kinds of fleece. If you want smooth low fleece this is not it. This does have a retro look to it and this type of fleece is very in right now. It's sexy ladies! I am a sizing freak I got both the XS and the S. Both fit and it's just a matter of preference. Normally I'm a medium in most tops but this does run big. The XS was a little bit shorter on the bottom than the S and maybe because I'm already short it doesn't look as good as the S being a little longer. I would like the option to fold the bottom under but I don't think I would want an elastic there. I don't think I would want a cord pull either. So let me go to fashion design school and I'll get back to you on how I would work with that. It can be a little warm to wear in the house but I'm wearing it! but so great outside on these colder Maine November days. I got the bright red in hopes that is almost as bright as blaze orange and I wont get shot by hunters. I think LLbean is geared toward an older crowd (I'm kinda old (42) lol but I like to dress younger:) but this piece is hip! I gave it 4 stars because I believe there is always room for improvement but I almost gave it 5. This is my FIRST thing I have bought from LLbean! As now I live in Maine sooooo do as the Mainers do. Warm, very comfortable. The sleeves were rather long for my built but folding it a little bit makes it look "cool"!

Love the style and fabric...cozy and warm. Pullover is runs a little small...would prefer a bit larger cut. Perhaps order up a size?

For petite size the arm length is too long by 2". Even the picture above shows the arms are hanging below the bottom hem of the hoodie. The torso length is just right. Love that is is a half zip hoodie with an open bottom. Haven't washed it yet. Have purchased many petite items from LLB this is the first time I have been disappointed.

I usually wear a petite small but wanted a looser fit so I bought a regular small. Inside of fashionably oversized it just looks too big. If anyone else wears petite I'd suggest just going up a size in petite rather than going for your size in regular. It's really cozy, comfy, and cute otherwise so I'm keeping it.

I brought this jacket to wear on an upcoming trip to Ashville NC. Needless to say the trip was cancelled. I wanted a light weight fleece that I could layer and I love the color with the lavender piping. It is a nice jacket, but I can't layer like I want to. I can wear a turtleneck or light weight shirt and a very light weight sweater under it. My other fleece Jacket that I brought from LL Bean years ago, I can wear a medium weight sweater. LL Bean sizing the pass couple years have been off especially in the bust area. I wish they were go back to the sizing of years ago especially in their outerwear. But over all its a nice jacket and I will keep it.

I ordered this because I wanted something warm for the winter. The fit was perfect except for the sleeves-they were WAY too long. I had to take it to the tailor to get the sleeves shortened. Other than that, a great purchase. I wish LL Bean would bring back the basic sleeveless fleece of old. I don't like the heavier, fuzzier ones you're selling now.

I wanted to give a 5 star review but it just didn't quite make the mark. The jacket is a bit big and therefor a bit bulky looking. It is warm and soft but I am not loving it as much as I was hoping. I am keeping it and will wear it, but it is not my "go to".

I like wearing it and it's warm, pocket and hood are nice. It's a little bulky looking but I don't really mind

I loved this fleece. It is warm and comfortable. It is rather boxy, however, even though it is listed as slightly fitted.

I love the style of this pullover. The material is nice and thick too. Not sure how it will wear over time; it feels substantial and warm. I got the sailcloth color and it is very pretty. Ordered a medium so I could fit it over a turtleneck and a flannel on colder days. The medium is slightly too big on me and the sleeves are pretty long. Covers half of my hand and I have long arms. I am OK with this, not a problem. Love the hood! Two suggestions L.L. Bean - add a drawcord to the bottom to cinch at the waist, and cuffed sleeves.

I ordered this fleece to use for colder weather hiking, and school. I may have overestimated my size a bit, but nonetheless the fleece is so soft and doesn't look horrible worn as oversized. it is straight and has a little velcro strap in the pocket for - im guessing keys and such. If you are looking for a casual and warm fleece for fall and winter I would recommend this one. PS: At least for the muted purple it is true to color and very pretty

I wish LL Bean made this with a full zip. I like the fleece but not the design.

The pullover is warm and soft. The fleece does rub off. I was really disappointed with the kangaroo pocket. It is not fleece so if you are looking to warm up your bare hands it won't happen. It is a mesh type lining on both sides. The Velcro on the secret pocket inside is stiff and scratchy. I was really hoping for a full soft fleece pocket since the item description doesn't tell you otherwise.

I had seen the reviews on this product prior to purchasing. From these reviews I knew the color would not actually be red. It is not. It is more like the color of a Tide detergent bottle. I also knew the sleeves would be long. They are but that is ok, just push them up or roll them. So what I am disappointed in is the warmth. At 40 degrees, you will probably need more than a long sleeved tee under it. I purchased this not for fashion but warmth while outside for extended periods of times. I was hoping with 2 layers it would work.

The fabric was lovely and cozy but the cut was just very unflattering. Back it went!

Warm, but a bulkier than I would have liked. I find I'm not reaching for this as often as I'd like because of this.

The body area is generous, but OK and comfortable. But the sleeves are way too long. I guess they would fit a regular person, but they come to about 1" from the end of my longest fingers. Same thing with the hood: it is so big that it cover my eyes. Really, short people do also have shorter arms and necks. It is not enough to just cut a bit off length of the body

The sweatshirt was fine No where near the quality expected from LL Bean The quality used to be superior Now as average as everything else. Could have purchased anywhere

This half-zip hoodie was really cute. I could not wait to get it, however, when I received it, the package was really big thus the top was really big and over-sized so I sent it back and purchased something else. Just be prepared for it to be BIG like a coat vs. a top. Other than that it seemed high quality like everything I have ever ordered from LL Bean. Really cute, just too BIG.

It's true to size and fits nicely. It's not as soft as I thought it would be and is rather stiff. Black wasn't my first choice but my preferred colors were sold out in my size.
