I recently bought this coat and so far I like it a lot. It's very comfortable and cozy. The mineral blue is pretty--like a soft teal. Our winter is quite mild, but because the coat warms me so quickly I think it would work well in a colder climate. It's attractively fitted but helpfully has room for layering. I haven't washed it yet but expect that to go well. Suggestion: put a little, soft, padded piece where the zipper end meets the front of one's neck. I mainly wear this coat inside our home, because it's often not cold enough to turn on the furnace but this wraps me in pleasant warmth in chilly early mornings. I also like the sturdy, smooth, top-down/bottom-up zipper, and the generous pockets and hood. If this is helpful, I am 5'8", 128 lbs., and 74 years old.

It is a lovely coat too warm for me. I returned it and bought a similar style coat at beans which did not have a fleece lining. I like to have layering options. Love the one I kept.

This is a very nice coat. I had been looking for a lighter weight, non-down coat in a longer length for a while and finally decided on this one ( the hardest part was deciding on a color). I have washed it once and it came out looking great. It's warm enough for getting in and out of the car to run errands or for going on short walks, even on cold days. But I can not give it a 5-star rating because of the zipper. Although the 2-ways zipper is great, it is often hard to get the zipper to align at first (I am worried that the zipper might not last). Minor quibbles: I wish the pockets were lined with the same soft fleece as the inside of the coat and it would have been really nice to include an inside zip pocket.

I got this coat for Christmas a year ago. I love the fit and warmth. The 2 way zippers are great for getting in and out of car. I just really miss the zip pocket on the upper left as it is not on this coat but is on a primaloft jacket I bought previously. It is the perfect pocket to hold my cell phone and I really miss it

I love the fit and style. Not too bulky. However, I have trouble with the two way zipper. If you don't get it in just right, it is difficult to unattached. If you are in a hurry, it's inconvenient. Maybe snaps too as alternative.

Perfect for a warmer winter in New England. This jacket runs small though. Arms on plus are small, body fine but I can't wear a sweater due to the arm issue. Quality is 10/10. Warmth and weight are also 10/10.

I love my new coat, I needed something for the cold winter but didn't want to buy a coat that was made from the suffering of animals, I was very glad to see a non-down coat. It is very light and very warm. And no animals were harmed in the process. Thank you L.L. Bean for offering a great alternative.

This coat is flattering and just the right length. The arms are a little shorter than I would prefer because they have a gathered cuff. The Fleece lining is not bulky and keeps me warm on mild winter days. Not as warm as the Bean down jackets.

The design line and cut of the coat is very flattering. However, it is not a good coat for weather under 40 degrees. It's size Large is more like a size medium. It is cut small. Zippers seem to be of good quality. The 2 way zipper is nice when you are driving to free your legs. The burgundy color looked just like the color in the catalog and on the website.

Overall, I do like this coat. It's lightweight, slimming, feels comfortable, and warm enough for most NE Pa weather. The blue color was just what I was looking for. Now for the cons- I do think it is overpriced. I agree with some reviewers in that the fleece is disappointing. Not the same fleece lined coat that I had gotten years ago from llbean. This feels more like a thin light fur than fleece.

I do like this coat, but I recently moved to Oregon with my dog. Now, I walk my dog very early in the morning and late at night. If it is above 40 degrees F, then this is my go to coat. IF the temp is below 40 degrees F, like in the low 30's or 20's, then this isn't the coat I grab to go on our walk. With that said, be mindful of when you will wear this coat. If you have really cold temps, don't get this one.

Jacket is great. Lighter weight and I love it for layering. However, the zipper requires extra care in order to catch and fasten. It's annoying. But I am keeping the coat.

It is a very nice color (silver moon) and very good fit, but it gets static and clinging when you wear it. Probably having fleece only on top would be much better. Still keep it.

Love this coat! It fits TTS. It is a bit longer than expected but I don't mind that since I wanted long anyway. It is lightweight but very warm and I personally love the fleece lining. That is actually what sold me on this coat after looking at other high-end brands. I don't prefer the elastic cuffs is the only reason I give it 4 stars. For reference: 34D bust, 32" waist, and 41"hips. Zips perfectly with room to spare for thicker layers and sitting down while zipped.

Fits wonderful. The zipper isn't as easy to use as I'd like. If the hood was removable it would work better for quick trips.

It's not as warm as I would like this coat to be. I read other reviews and expected it to get me through a cold New England winter. I think it's a great coat for fall and temps around the 40's. It's very cozy and light weight. It's a flattering cut and the color is beautiful. There isn't much fill in the outer layer. That is disappointing. I will be looking for a warmer coat for the colder temperatures and wind chill below freezing here in New England.

I would have liked at least one inside pocket or a phone pocket. In other bean coats there was also Velcro on the zipper so the coat could be fastened against wind without the full zipper.

I love the coat! The color, the length, the deep zippered pockets, I wish the arms were roomy enough to fit over sweat shirts and bulky sweaters.

One of the features I love about LL Bean coats is the extra pockets. Sadly, this coat doesn't have any. There are no inside pockets to zip your keys, credit card or phone into. The only pockets are your standard two outside ones which don't help when you head downtown on foot or go for a hike. I am so surprised and disappointed in Bean for not adding this feature to this great coat. Overall the coat is stylish and warm, I just wish they had added extra pockets/pocket.

Bought XL to make sure sleeves were long enough! Love the jacket seems warm enough so far but temps haven't been in the minuses yet! Only fault not enough pockets! The hand pockets are roomy but not to hold your phone in!

Very satisfied. Coat is as advertised. My only wish would be for it to have chest high pocket for phone.

Nice coat but I returned it because it is too fitted through the upper body. Overall It fit perfectly but there was no wiggle room.

I chose a larger plus size (size 3X) than I normally wear. I like for my outerwear to be a little large so I can move my arms easily when I drive. I also will be wearing turtle necks and a sweater on cold days. I found this size to fit reasonably well except for the sleeves. They were tight with a shirt and sweater on. Try to cut the sleeves a bit wider. All in all, it's a nice coat and the hood is great, too.

I wish I'd read one of the reviews before I ordered. At 5'2" and 140 lbs. I am usually a SM/Med. and definitely petite (for length). I couldn't even close the Petite Medium coat enough to zipper it. I just ordered a Petite Large and hope this works because the coat appears to be just what I need.
