The coat really meets my needs and looks great on. The silhouette is flattering, even though I have an apple shape. I needed something to wear when my usual down jacket seems a little too casual. The cost, which I bought in black, will be perfect for those occasions. Changing the type and color of a scarf or turtleneck sweater, gloves, etc. can give it just about any look or any occasion. That being said, I read the reviews carefully and agree that it is is not particularly warm. The fleece lining does help add warmth, but it's nowhere near the warmth of any down outerwear.It's the kind of thing you'd wear from the car into a restaurant, or with a very warm light sweater underneath. That's fine with me. It does everything I wanted to do.

I Love this coat. Perfect fit I ordered petite it's perfect. Deep pockets and the hood covers your head nicely. Can't believe I waited so long to purchase. I have several LL bean products love the colors and the quality .

Love this coat, but on days when temperatures are below 50 Fahrenheit I wish I had bought one of the Warmest coats LLB offers. If I had room inside the coat to wear both a thick sweater AND a fleece vest, that would be better.

I bought this about a month ago because I wanted something that would be warm, but that wouldn't then be too hot when inside a store and even though sometimes it's very cold I still put this jacket on because it's just so flattering so comfortable that I love it.

This coat is wonderful. Lightweight but warm enough for New England winter. So happy I found it.

It is very comfortable with a warm hood. I love the fact that the sleeves are not lined with fleece-makes it easier to put on. Also like the zipper from the bottom to unzip while sitting less strain in the zipper. Would recommend it for anyone looking for a longer coat.

This is a great coat for a cold Midwest winter. The fleece lining adds warmth and the coat is roomy enough for an extra layer. The two way zipper is easy to use and convenient for walking or getting in the car. The storm teal color is very pretty- not as bright as the catalog shows. This is the second I've bought- one for myself and a Xmas gift for my sister. Size purchased - petite small Saint Louis

The perfect coat! I absolutely love the Dark Cinder color. It has what I'd call a camel color fleece lining. Goes with everything! I ordered my usual Small, fits perfectly. I'm about 108 pounds with broader shoulders. Can easily fit a sweater under it, and the style is very slimming. The length is ideal. Five stars!

I have had a thinsulate jacket for many years now, I like the weight and warmth but needed something longer. Saw this primaloft jacket that looks similar to my thinsulate one, bought it, and it's perfect! Soft, warm, light, fits elegantly and has a two way zipper . It's my go to jacket now! Just one suggestion, it needs an inside zippered pocket. Yo from Northern New Mexico

I really like the COLOR (dark cinder/brown) and the shape and fit of this coat... like the fleece lining, so it's not too warm for our MILD winters that we seems to be having... appreciate the attached hood when needed... very well made!!!

This jacket is perfect for our areaVA. We have cold winters but not usually bitter cold. It runs true to size and is flattering not bulky. The color is perfect.

Perfect coat. Not too puffy. Warm fleece lining. Zips up to your chin to keep cold away without having to wear a turtleneck or scarf. Perfect mid thigh length

It took me several tries but I finally got the right size. I love this coat because it is perfect for southern winter days that are cold but not frigid like up North. It is lightweight and has a double zip. I like to unzip the bottom for ease in getting into my car.

I love this coat. It's light and thin, but surprisingly warm. Very packable for traveling. I really needed a longer coat that had a hood for inclement weather in winter and this coat fits the bill perfectly. I also like the teal blue color. The coat fits true to size. I have it in the petite size and the sleeve length is just right.

Cozy and warm enough for New York City winters, and with room for a serious sweater under it for forays into New England. Lightweight so it's easy to pack or carry; zippered pockets big enough for mittens' and a super warm fleecy hood.

I suffer from headaches and this coat is so soft and comfortable - it doesn't cause discomfort to my neck/head area to make the headache worse.

This coat is exactly what I wanted. I got it a size up so I could fit a heavy sweater underneath. Even without a sweater it looks great. The fit is perfect, and it is so comfortable and warm.

I haven't had a coat in years that I really like, but now I have one! This coat is comfortable, not bulky, and pretty. I purchased the lavender color. Tired of black. I haven't had much luck with LLBean coats in the past few years, so I'm happy I ordered this one.

I'm not usually comfortable wearing coats and prefer the freedom of movement of jackets. But winter, I realized that I could use a somewhat dressier alternative to my usual down jackets I read all the reviews several times. Thanks to L.L. Bean customers for being such helpful reviewers. I decided to take a chance on this coat and I couldn't be happier. I know it's not the warmest coat out there, but I won't be needing it for extensive outdoor use and I can always add can additional layer under it for warmth. The fit is very flatteringslimming despite the fleece lining. The size is petite extra large. Everything is proportioned just right for my 5 foot 2 1/2 inch frame. The coat exceeded my expectations and I recommend it highly.

I love this jacket. The fleece lining is super cozy and helps to block the wind. I am 5'/34c/110 lbs overall-small frame and I bought the petite XS. The fit is comfortable and I am able to wear a thin fleece pullover under the jacket. If I wanted to wear a thicker sweater, I would need to size up to petite S. The color (storm blue) leans more teal than aqua (as is shown online). While I was hoping for more of an aqua shade, I do love the storm blue and it has grown on me as more versatile than I thought it would be. It looks great with fleece-lined leggings and boots or sneakers.

I love this coat! It's light weight, flattering, nice length, and happy that the side pockets have zippers to secure the phone or gloves.

Stayed comfortably warm during an unplanned hour and a half sitting outside on a ferry from New York to New England Thanksgiving weekend. Even the hood was very warm.
