Fit, warmth, comfort - all just great - and I particularly like the little zipper pocket inside the left hand pocket for keys or whatever.

This is the warmest coat that I ever bought. I needed a warm coat for walking in the winter and this one is perfect. So far, I have walked when the temperature was 28 degrees and windy, and I never felt cold. It is comfortable and there are adjustments that can be made on the wrists, waist and hood. The only small issue would be that the hood over-covers the head and face, making it hard to see at times.

The jacket is very good with sizing, style, and warmth. I am however disappointed in the side pockets. It is difficult to put anything in the inside zippered pocket and the main side pockets are too shallow. Very disappointed in the pockets. If you are like me and carry a phone, keys, tissues, glasses in your pocket, the pockets don't work!

I live in New York City area suburbs and have been wearing LL Bean outwear for most of my life and this jacket is a great addition to my collection. It's lightweight yet sturdy, and has the right amount of coverage for warmth against wind and blowing snow.The zipper goes up to your neck area and there's still room to wear a scarf underneath the jacket. I was hesitant about ordering the Medium because LL Bean jackets tend to run somewhat big (I sized down for my Baxter State Parka,) however the Medium in this coat is perfect. I adjusted the interior waist drawstrings to cinch in the middle and snapped the cuffs closed which are adjustable to accomodate what you're wearing underneath. The jacket has the right amount of puffiness and the fill holds its shape. The length is great too. It's not too long yet long enough to cover your seat area and top of thighs for warmth when walking dog or in a cold car. Removable hood is a plus that snaps on / off easily. I ordered the green color which is a nice change from black jackets. LL Bean gifts are always a hit - well done LL Bean!

this coat is lightweight, warm (I just wore it in New Hampshire snow tubing) and walking for. hours in wind and snow, fits perfectly, has wonderful inner zipped pocket as well as zipped pockets in the front, has wonderful space for my hips as it's a long coat, has both zipper and snaps option in front, hood fits perfectly and also has room for a hat underneath, everyone has been cold around me but I've been quite warm! also has room for a fleece or sweater underneath...AND it was affordable and attractive! I couldn't have asked for a better coat!

This is my 2nd parka. I love that it keeps you very warm but at the same time light in weight. It's a perfect fit. I bought the burgundy which is a beautiful color.

Live this jacket. Warm and cozy. Spilled meatballs on it and it washed away perfectly. Very happy with this.

i went a size smaller than i normally wear after reading reviews. i am glad i did. the xxs is loose enough that i can wear multiple layers underneath, and there is a cord to cinch it tighter. my only wish is that the arm length was a bit longer. i am very slim (30" chest)but long limbed so i had to choose between too bulky with a good arm length or a decent torso fit with somewhat shorter sleeves. that said, the sleeves still fit, i just prefer something longer. the coat itself is well made. the hood cinches perfectly to my face so it does not slide down or allow a draft to my ears. the pockets are big enough to fit my bulky gloves. i was astonishingly warm on a frigid, windy vermont day. love it!

Received this coat for Christmas (I picked it out) and am overall pleased. It keeps the wind out, is a great length, and looks good. The petite feels like it was made for my size with great sleeve length and hood height; however, it runs big. I ordered a petite small because I am 7 months pregnant and my other llbean coat in size xs was getting too tight. This coat zips with room to spare, despite my preggo belly. I also wish it was slightly snugger in the sleeves. We'll see how much it drives me nuts next winter when not pregnant, but I didn't think it was worth sending back. For reference my prepregnancy weight was 130.

This coat has great style (love the bronze snaps and draw cord waist), nice features (zippered pockets for small items inside the hand warming pockets and the cozy knit cuffs), and is so warm and water resistant. Perfect for all the outdoor activities and gatherings this winter. I usually wear a Large in LL Bean clothing but with this coat the Medium fits me perfectly.

The first time I wore this was when I took my dog for a walk. It was 9 degrees. All I had on underneath the jacket was a short-sleeved t-shirt. I couldn't believe how warm I was! That was the true test. Amazing.

I bought this coat for my daughter who is in her 20's! She says that it fits perfectly, is a great length, and is very comfortable. We live in NE, so the coat is very warm and yet not too cumbersome to wear when she is out and about. She likes this coat in black as it goes with everything and she can dress it up or down. Very satisfied customer!!

I normally wear a small in jackets, but found the small to be overly puffy looking. After going into the store to try to find an XS to try, I was only able to find a small petite in stock. I kept the petite. It's still plenty roomy for layers and activity, but I found it to be more flattering than the regular small. There is plenty of room in the hips if you need it. What I'm loving about the coat is that it is so warm in the cold, but I don't overheat the way I have in other warm down jackets.

Purchased this jacket to replace an older LLBean jacket. Nice weight, simple design. Mom loved it. Runs large.

I am returning the coat only because it is probably meant for climates colder than where I live. However, the coat is fantastic! The "double pockets", the fabric, the overall comfort, etc. are wonderful. I liked it so much that I ended up ordering the Mountain Classic vest because it works better in this climate but has all the same features.

I tried several coats from reputable companies and this was, by far, my favorite!!! Warm, not too bulky, and so good looking. I love the hate, the ties, the double pockets, etc. It's a great, warm coat and I'm very pleased with this purchase!

I bought this coat from a recommendation from two different friends - and they were right. The medium was definitely the right call for me - it's a little roomy but who wants a winter coat that is tight? We've only had a few cold days so far, but Wisconsin winters can be pretty brutal and I am confident this coat will do the job. I like the double pocket with an inside zipper for my credit card and phone. I could use an interior pocket but I can get past that with the overall quality and attractiveness of the coat far.

I love my new coat! Ordered a petite extra large because sleeves are always too long for me on regular sizes. Could have gone with a large but ordered an extra large because I wanted it to fit loosely enough that I could wear layers underneath. This fit the bill. It feels light but is very warm. I walk in winter where weather is often windy and below zero. This jacket keeps me plenty warm and comfy. Highly recommend.

I love, love this parka! The fit is perfect, but I did size down after reading some of the reviews. Ordinarily I wear XS, but opted for the XXS and it fit perfectly. I bought black and can use all kinds of colorful hats and scarves with my jacket. I highly recommend this parka. Very warm and comfortable.

Warm, very comfortable! Truly waterproof. Color is a bit more purple looking than red like the picture shows. Really is burgundy. Very pretty color!

I was skeptical at first on buying almost a 200.00 jacket, but I live in Chicago and it gets cold and windy here, and I take public transportation A LOT. I bought the 2XL as I read reviews on other plus size buyers and the size fits great for me. I was a bit worried since I have a bigger chest and did not want to get crushed with this jacket. No problem there what so ever. Right now its about 20 D outside and the jacket is working great. I like that the hood is adjustable as well. Thanks LL Bean from a first time buyer.

I have had an older version of this coat in black for many years and wanted to get a new one in a fresh color. Absolutely nothing wrong with the older coat, just tired of wearing black all the time in gloomy weather. A few style differences: 1) Cut way larger. My old coat was a medium and the new small is quite roomy. 2) The new version doesn't have the large inner pocket, just the small one. That was a disappointment as the large pocket was handy to stow my hat, extra mittens, etc., and I didn't have to worry about something falling out of a small pocket. Did you think we wouldn't notice? ;) But not a huge deal. Color: I ordered the "kelp" thinking that would be a bluish green, but it's really just a soft camo/army green. Not necessarily a negative, just not what I was expecting. I returned it and ordered the burgundy, which I really like. It's a soft, muted color with a warm feel to it. So I'm very happy with the coat but wanted to point out the differences for long-time Bean fans. Great coat, really warm and cozy, light and soft. Expect to wear it for years to come.
