Comfortable and very warm. I wore it in Chicago this holiday with frigid temperatures 5 degrees.

I love my new navy mountain down parka. We live in the northeast and just tested it in the cold blast we had these past few days. It kept me toasty warm walking my dog for 25-30 min even at 11 degrees. I am 5'2" and 131 lbs and ordered S and M. The M was huge, but the S fit comfortably with enough room for a sweater underneath. When I returned the M, I considered the XS which fit like a glove and very slenderizing but tight in the arms if I want to wear a sweater or fleece under it. I stayed with the S, even if it does look a tad boxy but it's a down coat. The length is perfect too especially when I have to drive. I like the hood, it keeps me warm and allows me to wear a hat. I have the same concerns with the pockets as other reviewers. My phone doesn't fit snuggly in the pocket and I'm always concerned it will fall out while walking my dog. A snap just isn't practical especially when it's so cold. I wish it had an outer zipper. I love my new down parka!

I have two LL Bean down coats which I love. I gifted this parka to someone because these parkas are nice and warm, waterproof, excellent quality (including the zippers!) and reasonably priced. The recipient lives in Brooklyn, NY, has dogs and loves to spend time in NYC. This coat is appropriate for all occasions. I'd also like to mention they wash and dry well.

This coat is perfect for really cold weather. It fits like a glove, and the details are well made.

This is a warm and sporty coat for a lot of outdoor activities, I purchased this similar coat a few years ago in black. There are some nice improvements, like the double pockets with zippers, and the larger hood. It is, however alittle shorter in length and definitely shorter waisted. I m 5'9" so I cannot use the adjustable inside adjustment. Over all I do love the coat! I'm glad that I purchased it !

My search is finally over! Was looking for a nice looking and warm winter jacket. Kelp green is a good alternative over the traditional colors. Don't feel myself coming and going in this parka.

Love this jacket! It is very warm and snug.you can tighten the jacket around your waist area to keep the warmth inside. It has several pocketsjust wish they were a bit bigger. It would be nice if your phone would fit without the concern of it falling out. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase!

Bought it for my daughter for Christmas. She tried it on at the LL Bean store and loved the style and fit and knew it would keep her warm.

The coat is well made, very warm and fits perfectly. I'm petite and have trouble with fit, but this parka fit so well. The sleeves were perfect, not too big. It's also super warm but not bulky. I love it. Will buy one in black.

I love this coat! It's warm without being too bulky. I am normally a size small in LL Bean and that's what I ordered and it fits well, I have enough room to wear a sweatshirt underneath and still be comfortable. I love the length, it covers my butt but isn't too long. And the double zipper is great so you can unzip a little from the bottom when sitting down.

Warm and comfortable, keeps the wind out nicely and looks great. I like the length and the zipper seems sturdy. It needs a deeper inside pocket, to hold a smartphone, but overall I love it.

This coat was everything I hoped for! It's warm and cozy with lots of pockets to put gloves, phone, etc. I am short but the length was still perfect and there is still room inside to wear bulkier sweaters without it being too tight.

The hood has down!!! the navy is awesome. true to size with room for a sweater but with a waist that can be cinched. Love love love this parka. LL Bean is rocking the timeless New England styles this year. Should I stock up or will this better timeless styling stick?

I've had this jacket for about a month and have used it in many cold conditions. I am pleased with my purchase, both in terms of looks and performance. I'm 5'10" and 170 lbs and the medium gives me plenty of extra room for bulky layers underneath and comes down to just below my butt. I like the double pockets where my cell phone can be secured behind a zipper but the pocket is still open to keep your hands warm. The only slight design flaw I've noticed is with the hood. It is removable and attached with snaps which often come undone as I'm removing my purse. The hood stays attached by the snaps and Velcro on each side, so this is more of an annoyance than a real issue, but a zipper attachment would be a nice future upgrade to the jacket design.
