I did not keep the coat. I returned the coat. The coat was too formfitting and snug for my liking, and it wasn't really that soft on the inside, which made it uncomfortable to wear.

This is my second pair of this beautiful fleece coat but I bought the xs petite because they did not have xx small regular.. I never get petite but the price was right.. I ended up returning it.. I will stick to regular like I always do because the petite is shorter than regular and also it felt bulky on me..the regular fits more straight down.. I felt that the petite was more rounded and it doesn't fall straight so I returned it and I ordered a regular xxs small. Other than that I love these jackets but they have to fit you fitted. So I say order a size down if you are a small.

I bought because my coat in xl was too small while I was pregnant and ended up returning. It was 2x the shape seemed different in plus sizes. It was huge on my chest (and I'm an f cup), as tight on my hips as the xl, and the arms were smaller than the xl. Other than that it was warm and nice material. I think I'll just go back to the xl which fit better.

I loved the look of this coat and the fleece in both the catalog and when it arrived at my home, but because it draws in at the sides, it did not fit me properly. I think it would fit a thinner and younger person better. The quality of the coat is excellent. I hated to return it to the L.L. Bean store but there is one not far from my home. The return took almost no time. I was surprised at how quickly the return was processed and my money credited back to my credit card immediately. The person who helped me with my return was very, very friendly and made the process so easy. I have shopped with L.L. Bean for years and I think this was the first time I had to return anything. I trust L.L. Bean for both quality and customer service. And no, I'm not an owner, relative or employee! Just a happy customer.

I am 5'9" athletic slim at 124 lbs. I usually wear a small/medium size 4 or 6. Bought this in SMALL 6-8. I got the chocolate brown. It fits horrible! I looks like a box. As one reviewer says it's looks like I'm a big bear! It is at least 2 full size bigger, well maybe one. Either way it's boxy and huge! I am afraid to go smaller in case the sleeves run short! But I love the color and feel, so much I am going to pull out the ole'sewing machine and try to put some flattering seams on there. If you want this coat to fit like the model then I don't know. This coat is definitely for the curvy body and not the long and slim body. Idk? I'm disappointed but I still love it and will keep it.

Cute Jacket-but the cream color looks almost dirty. The coat does seem very warm - If you plan to order - other colors may be better!

I really love this coat until I zip it all the way up; the zipper is very uncomfortable at my neck line.

While I appreciate LL Bean going back to a two-way zipper, this jacket was just not soft and comfy. Also, the fit was odd. I returned it but hope to see more of the two-way zippers in the future. Also, please get better colors. Your entire line is duller than dirt.

I've loved the look of this coat ever since it first came out. I think it's plenty warm enough for our Ohio winters without too much bulk. Very well made. It just wasn't made for me. I'm 5'2" and 265lbs. I tried a 2X, and while it was heavy, the arms were long and super slender. A beautiful coat, but made for others.

Sleeves are too short and a little stiff for a fleece jacket.

This did not fit as expected.I am 5'5 1/2 and the small was very big and the contour was not flattering. Also I expected the inside to be soft. It was not. I paid the $6 return fee and sent it back.

This looked so cute online. On me, not so cute. Perhaps a fuller figured woman might look good in it, it made me look dumpy and shapeless. Loved the material, just not right for my slender frame. I returned it.

Not very roomy in the chest area. Would be difficult to wear this with a sweater. Cute coat. Sleeves are a bit long. I returned the coat.

I have searched for a replacement to my beloved 20yr+ fleece, hooded, LLBean long jacket. I was so excited because most of the desired boxes were checked. The style was updated, double zip enabled comfortable sitting etc. When it arrived I was so disappointed in the stiffness of the jacket that made it unflattering. Hope the designers will repeat style next yr. w/softer fleece lining; would luv inside pkt. for a cell phone.

I love the look and construction of this coat. I feel it was cut on the smaller side of petite medium but the large would be too large. I put on a turtleneck and very light sweatshirt and the coat felt snug in the upper arms and shoulder. It is super warm so not too much needs to be under it.

I really liked the design of the jacket. Unfortunately, the zipper catch broke at the bottom of the jacket. While I did order my regular LL Bean size, the fit was not comfortable. The arms and upper back were too small and felt tight. Also, it was to tight for layering.

The fabric on the inside is not soft at all. Harsh and scratchy.

It's OK. The large size I ordered was a little tight, so I returned it for an XL. This one is too big; in the body and also the sleeves are too long. Wish I had kept the first one. However, it is warm so I'm keeping this one. Also I wish Bean would quit putting their logos on their clothes. If I'm going to advertise for a company, I should get paid.

I thought this coat would be warm. I run my standard poodles every day. This coat let's the wind through..I was shocked....Nebraska is windy. I love bean clothes!!

The Mountain Pile Fleece Coat looks nice, but is not very warm. Expected more warmth in the lining which is thin for a winter coat.

I really wanted to like this coat. The lining felt almost like neoprene and was a bit scratchy for my liking. The fit was lumpy and unflattering. Really nice pockets though- soo deep and zippered. I ended up returning it though. Just not for me.

I typically wear an XL in LLBean tops/coats with a very comfortable fit. This jacket in both L (tried it first) and XL is too small/snug to be comfortable for normal moving around. Chest too small. Also, the lining is not a smooth or slippery fabric, so it pulls my sleeves up while putting it on -- a pain to deal with. So I won't try a larger size . . . just not good enough. I do like the gray color and the sherpa fleece is attractive, as are the seams which provide a bit of style and shaping. But not worth the sleeves being pulled up every time I put it on. I'll keep looking.

This is much thinner than I thought it would be. The length is really nice...lack of drafts up my back. The sleeves are tighter than I would like too. It is very well made. Don't expect to use it when it gets down near freezing though.

I think it could of been better quality. This was a first for me to be returning anything to Bean. I've come to expect good quality especially with the price point on this coat. I hope I have better luck next time. J. P.
