the fit is perfect and the coat is warm in the cold temps.

Received my classic mountain down jacket today. Beautiful color, fits very well but the pockets are to shallow? What's with the pockets? I have other llbean jackets and the pockets are great. What's up?

I have a number of dressier coats from LL Bean, but I also needed one that I could wear in the rain and snow. I am so glad I bough this one. It is warm and comfortable, and it looks good with whatever I wear it with. I bought a 1X, because I like wearing a lot of layers in the winter.

I love it! I am from Tennessee, but staying/working in Maine through February. I needed this coat.

Great fit and very warm. I highly recommend. I'm 5' 3" and ordered a petite small. Perfect fit with room for a sweater.

This jacket is way warmer than I expected but isn't super heavy! It's soft and I love the length. There's a ton of pockets and adjustable waist. My only complaints are that the pockets are very small, my iPhone falls out and sometimes the double zipper gets annoying. Otherwise, this jacket was very worth the money and I hope it lasts me a long time!

Toasty, but not too bulky. Stylish, just the right length for a number of different needs. Love it!!!

Love the fit and the light weight of this coat. It is perfect for my needs.

I wish this coat had some fur around the hood as the hood does fall too far down your face. Otherwise it's a very useful coat in cold windy weather. You do need to wear a warm layer under it which is true of most coats.

I usually wear a S/M, and was afraid a small would be a bit too snug with layers on underneath. I ordered a medium to be sure it would fit comfortably with layers (I'm usually a S/M, 5'6" and 145lb), even though other reviews noted that it ran a little large. It was way too big, even with waist cinched in. I ended up exchanging it for a small and am so glad I did. The coat is so light and so warm, and I still have room for some layers. I am happy with my purchase!

This is a great weight for an everyday winter coat in PA. It's comfortable enough for the commute in the car and keeps me warm going out on errands. It is a bit of a boxy fit but I have realistic expectations for parkas. I love mine in the maroon color!

Beautiful coat, a bit puffy, warm, hand warmers and deeper slash pockets, sturdy zipper, good length, hood detaches easily. A well made coat!

I've never paid $199.00 for a winter coat before, however, my husband purchased it for me as a Christmas present. I love it!! It's not only warm, but every pocket has a snap & zipper so whatever I decide to place in a pocket is secure! Front zipper can be zipped in both directions, up or down. When driving, I can zip it up from the bottom to be more confortable. The variety of available colors is also wonderful!

This coat is great for cold New England days. It is for days outdoors and fun in the snow. Even with the waist drawstring, however, it is definitely on the puffy, shapeless side. It is not a figure-defining coat, so if you're looking for something warm but chic this is not it. I agree with other reviews that the pockets could be improvedthey are shallow and sit low enough that it feels weird, like your arm is stretched down too much. I assume this is due to the drawstring at the waist.

So comfortable and warm. Nice length - covers my bottom. Moves nicely so that you aren't constantly tugging on your clothes or your coat even with a sweater underneath.

It is true to size, warm, stylish, and washes/dries well.

My down jacket is so warm and comfortable! It fits well and the color is great!

Throw all your other coats away ! There is nothing softer and warmer than this coat! I'm going to get another of the lighter ones! As long as it has down it is fabulous!

I absolutely love this coat it's so nice and warm when the temperature is very cold and there no wind that goes threw the coat which is wonderful it's light weight and so comfortable so soft like a cloud wrap around you

Very pleased with this coat! I got the navy in medium. Small would fit, but I'm always cold and ordered larger size so I could layer underneath. Love the steel zipper, much easier to start than nylon ones. And I love the snap flap up the front. The length is perfect, not too long to sit down in and gives more coverage than a jacket. Sleeves can be adjusted with a snap. If it goes on sale again, I would order another color.
