Comfy and feel good on my skin. Lite and will dry fast when raining outside. They will go to movies, golfing, camping, fishing, hiking, biking, to a picnic or hanging around your own back yard. Ordered 2x first. Way too big. Re-ordered XL much better. I take a size 16 in women's in regular shorts/pants. These I take a smaller size. I have a prednisone belly so my middle is much bigger and my legs are more thin. So the XL is a much better fit since the waist is a drawstring and will fit my larger waist and smaller legs. I would give them a 5 star except there is no way to cinch the waist or the ankle drawstring. They should have make a little plastic "thing" so one could tighten and loosen the waist and the ankle and it would stay that way. At the ankle there is no way to tie it except in a knot or bow, then you can't get foot in or out or left undone will get lost in the seam. The knot cannot be left during washing because it becomes tighter. So I would like some suggestions on how to tie and cinch closer to ankle. I can fix this problem by buying the plastic cincher at a sewing goods store for a few dollars and put it in myself. For the price they should make them with the plastic cinchers. I would also like in some different colors. I will order again.

Tried them on 4x before deciding to send them back. The pull cord in the waistband was way too stretchy and I had a ton of pull cord pulled out before I felt my pants were going to remain on my waist while hiking. If the designers would make a far less stretchy cord in the waistband, I would have kept them, but for the price, I'm sending them back though now I wished I had replaced the pull cord myself because I loved the material of the vista pants! Extremely comfortable and would work perfect for camping and hiking the trails.

HOWEVER, THE WAIST BAND IS TOO LOOSE. FEELS LIKE THE PANTS WILL FALL DOWN IF I LOAD THE CARGO POCKETS. WILL BUY ANOTHER COLOR IF I CAN EVER FIGURE HOW TO TIGHTEN THE WAIST. QUITE FRUSTRATING SINCE I LOVE THE FEEL OF THE FABRIC AND LOVE THE POCKETS AND HOW THE PANTS LOOK.

Fit was good and material is okay. Lighter weight than the Comfort Trail pants and the cargo pockets are not as deep.

Comfortable, light weight, moisture wicking, quick dry. Perfect for my safari trip. However, the fabric snags easily. I purchase 4 pair and in 14 days of daily wear, one pair snagged when bumped lightly against the truck. The true "snag test" will come when hiking this summer. The elastic waist was comfortable but the elastic tie does not stay tied. A non-elastic fabric is needed for the tie. Fortunately, I did not need to tighten the waist. I have a long rise and have difficulty finding pants that fit in the age of low rise pants for women. But, these fit perfectly. If they pass the snag test when hiking, I will purchase more. I gave 4 starts instead of 5 only because of the snag.

I like these pants for everyday wear. The pockets are good, the length still a bit too long for my short frame, but at least I can cinch up the bottoms. I wish the bottom was elastic, but that is my personal preference.

I love everything about these pants except the drawstring. It's very stretchy, which, in my opinion, defeats its purpose. It takes a lot of pulling to stretch it out enough to make the waistband feel snug, and when I tie it, the ends hang past my knees. Put a non-elastic drawstring in these pants, and they'll be perfect.

I usually wear a 1x. These pants were huge. I have big hips, waist and thighs, so it was a suprise. Love the color and little style. Very light weight and comfortable. Next time, i would order smaller, but afraid the thighs will be tight. I kept them cuz they were on nbn sale.

I bought three pairs of these pants for a recent trip to South Africa. They're really comfortable, lightweight and dried quickly in the searing, sweaty heat. The one problem with them is that they snag easily. One pair caught on a slightly exposed velcro tab inside our safari vehicle, and now there's a small run on one hip. I'm keeping them because I bought them on sale and/or through other promotions and feel the price was right. But I wish they were just a little sturdier.

I like these pants for traveling. They fit well except the length. Lots of pockets. The fabric seems to get nubby after a while.

These pants are comfy and I like them - just do NOT like the tie at the waist - strange choice, shouldn't be so stretchy.

Love the comfort and fit of the petite large, with the drawstring pant legs. Unfortunately I wore them to harvest seeds in the prairie and the fabric immediately pilled. I still decided to buy the lightly lined Vista camp pants for cooler weather, but you don't have them in petites! PLEASE offer petites! I want to order them for our southern Africa trip next June (their winter).

The pants fit perfectly but are way too long as I always wear petite length pants. They are super cute and cozy so I'd buy them in a heart beat if they were to come in petite sizes.

Am ordering 2 new pair and considering returning 2 I purchased last year. Love love love these but they pill so badly. Just not sure why. If new ones do they ARE going back.

The black camp pants are easy to wear, lightweight, stylish and fit well. I haven't washed them yet, so I can't speak to that, or to their longevity, since I've only had them a few weeks. But so far so good.

These are really fantastic pants when it comes to the very light, stretchy material and the fit. This material keeps you cool (sun protection + wicking), and is very comfortable because it is so incredibly light and stretchy, but it is also strong material so you don't feel like it's going to tear or stretch out. The waistband is excellent, because the elastic in it is robust enough to provide a good fit but not so thick or unstretchy that it's constricting and uncomfortable, as I find many elastic waistbands to be. The only thing about the waistband I would improve is the pull tie - the material in the tie is way too stretchy, making it hard to actually tighten and tie, so it's not very effective at adjusting the tightness of the waist when you want to.
But the main thing that needs improvement, and the difference between 4 stars and 5 stars, is the pocket situation. There are six pockets, which is amazing for women's pants (thank you!), but they need to be improved. The two front pockets zip and they are fine, but could be slightly roomier/deeper. The two rear pockets button with single buttons and that is also fine, though velcro or zippers might also work and provide more closure since there are no flaps (and I prefer no flaps). The two pockets on the thighs need to be ~50% longer/deeper, to accommodate a smartphone. I've included a photo showing my phone case (same height as my Samsung Galaxy S7 phone) poking out of the thigh pocket. It's surprising that with an above-average amount of pockets, that they are not useful enough, and especially for carrying the one thing that virtually everyone carries. You can fit a smartphone in one of the front pockets, but it's vertical and pressing against you and limits your ability to bend without worrying about cracking the phone, so that doesn't work.
Please improve this and re-issue the pants, and I will buy them in every color. Thanks!

I bought my first pair of Vista Camp Pants about 4-5 months ago. They were so comfortable I have since purchased one pair of each color. However, I'm beginning to see some pilling on the fabric. With pants at this price, this shouldn't be happening.

Love the fabric and style of these pants! They run large and loose; I tried them on in the store and chose a size smaller than I normally wear. I purchased two pairs- in black and navy. I love having the extra pockets including zippers and buttons to hold items in place. On the black pair I am not a fan of the gray bias tape used to attach the buttons on the pockets since it stands out too much-looks like a couple of polka dots on my butt! The bias tape on the navy pair blends in so it doesn't have the same effect. I would definitely recommend these pants!

I have these pants in all four colors, but this is my second review for them. All have been well constructed, except the nautical navy ones. After wearing the first pair about 5 times, the ribbon that holds the button on the side pocket pulled away from the fabric; it obviously wasn't sewn on carefully enough. So I sent them back and ordered a new pair. Today I put them on for the first time, and discovered that the pocket flap was sewn to the pocket. Back they go again! This time they are back-ordered until mid-September. Hopefully pair #3 will be better made than the first two. These pants are wonderful, but they are not cheap, so I expect that I won't have to make sewing repairs on a practically new item.

I bought these pants for a long flight to Europe. I didn't love them because there wasn't enough elastic in the waist and tying and untying the draw string was awkward, and the same with the draw strings at the base of the leg. They were too wide at the bottom. However, the soft waist and light fabric was comfortable, so I was relatively happy with them. And, they washed up like brand new, so I do recommend them with some reservations.

Finally a pant that fits me - I am very short 4'11", 108 pounds, and pants are always too long. These are cut large so order "down". I ordered Petite XS and they are still a little baggy but the length is nice. The rise is perfect and around the waist, drawstring ensures good fit. The pant cuff has a stretchy drawstring as well. Oddly it does not come with a cord lock so you have to pull the cord and tie a bow or knot - I am going to add cord locks. Fabric is very light weight and soft - the pants feel very breezy. Lots of pockets. Other than the pant hem it's a great design.

Over all I really like these pants. The quick dry material was very helpful on rainy days, and when they got muddy I could wash them in the sink and they'd be dry in no time. They are very comfortable and work great with a base layer underneath on chillier days. And at 5'2", I appreciate the petite length!

Just got back from Norway and these were the perfect travel pants...casual and comfy for daytime travel & hiking, but dressy enough for out to dinner wear too. Quick drying for a quick washing (or drying from a stream jump!). Wish the pockets were a bit deeper as it was a snug fit for my cell phone, but like the zipper closures to make sure stuff stays put. I'll order another pair for future travel!

I'm 5'9" 230lbs and the XL fits fine. I'd prefer a tall option (the bottom of the pants hit just below my ankle) but the elastic at the bottom makes all the difference. Adjusted more closed then the pants are cute (almost like joggers) with sandals and can easily be tucked into hiking socks. The fabric is lightweight enough for me to wear in Florida and the pants give enough room to wear leggings underneath in chilly weather. I've worn them hiking in the desert and as far north as Glacier NP in early june. Pockets are convenient and large enough to hold car keys, slim wallet, and large cell phone (love that the front pockets are zippered). Overall good pant, five stars if/when LLBean offers a tall option.

These are such easy pants! They slip on, feel good, wash easily, and dry quickly. Wonderful for travel, the garden, any casual summer occasion.
I just wish they weren't cargo pockets, a style I have never liked. The pockets are down the leg far enough to be useless and would look silly when filled. They cry "casual" and make the pants less versatile.
