What is the point of using a drawstring that is stretchier than the pants fabric, so when you pull it tight it hangs down to your knees? Please LL Bean, give us a drawstring that doesn't stretch and isn't made of a slippery nylon.

These pants fit fantastically and they feel and look great. All the pockets are useful. Unfortunately after less than a year of regular wear to walk the dog the fabric is pilling between the thighs and where my jacket rubs in the back. Also there are a few snags on the legs. For the price I am disappointed in how the fabric has held up.

The xs is still too large for someone wearing a size 2. The pants are comfy even if too large

I keep buying these pants because of their lightness; however, the fabric, while light, is very poor because it "pills" all the time. I have two questions: 1) Why is it still being manufactured even though its quality is so bad, and, 2) what's wrong with me that I keep buying them when the pilling gets so bad that I repurchase them? I have no answers for either. Oh! And they are so expensive for their lack of durability, too.

Comfy functional fabric but very high waisted fit. Zippered pockets aren't deep enough and the side leg pockets are so small they're basically useless. Credit card and ID fit, phone does not.

Love the feel and fit of these. Unfortunately they pick and the threads pull after a few wears. I have two pair and both readily damaged..For the price they should be more sturdy.

The pants are very comfortable, but are incredibly thin and pill after just a few wears. These are great for wearing once or twice but not for consistent use.

Love the style, they are lightweight easy to pack and travel in with all the pockets but they snag and pill so fast can't wear in public after a few times of wear. The shorts are the same way.

Super lightweight and comfy so I kept them, but the drawstring twisted and snapped in half the first time I washed them. I had to rethread a replacement. I know I can return them, but it feels like a waste since I can still wear them.

I love the pants they are so comfortable but I need to return them because the stitching is coming undone. I will be getting new ones.

These pants are really comfortable and I really like them, I gave 3 stars because they pill easy and the outer fabric will easily get shredded from just having your cat sit on your lap. I think they are too pricey for not being very durable. Raisin brown is more of a brownish dark Maroon.

I normally wear a size large in L.L.Bean clothes. I am 5ft. 9 1/2 inches so I ordered a medium tall originally. When I sent them back because they were too large/huge in the legs, I exchanged for a regular length. These are still a bit long and just as wide in the legs. The design needs work to accommodate a slimmer leg width without branding them slim-fit camp pants. I must return the regular pants, now, too. Since I don't see any improvement in the "clown pants" sizing, I am returning for a refund.

The fit is somewhat large and they stretch out more when wearing.

Light weight pants that dry quickly and keep you cool. I was surprised at how big and baggy they were. I usually wear a M and they are quite loose and slip down my hips. Fit is not as expected for active wear.

These pants fit me perfectly and seem to be true to size. BUT, the front pockets are not deep enough to secure a cell phone or money clip. The money clip will fit into the slash pocket - just barely - so you have to keep it zipped. A cell phone will not fit into the thigh pockets. And, the thigh pockets close with an awkward button. If you're carrying a back-up, these pants are probably ok. But, they are not suitable if you're trying walk without any other bags. So, in some cases, I'd say they're perfect. But, in orders they are lacking in significant ways.

If you are looking for khakis these are not them. These are thin and breathable but downsize one size to fit, they run big. I'm exchanging mine for a smaller size.

The pants are made of a very nice light fabric. The overall construction is great, very comfortable. But . LL Bean wake up! Women need pockets large enough to fit a cell phone. Every pocket in these pants is just a bit too small and I don't have a large phone (iPhone X) ! A serious disappointment and why I can't recommend these pants. Very disappointing after waiting 3 months for these!

These pants are much lighter-weight than I expected - they are definitely appropriate for summer wear only. In addition, the pockets are too small to comfortably fit a wallet in, and the main reason I wanted these pants was because they seemed to have lots of pockets and room for storage. Not the case. The color is nice.

The fabric in these pants is very light and comfortable. The cut is flattering and the zip pockets are a nice secure design. My only suggestion is to make the cargo pockets functional to hold a cell phone. With four pockets it is frustrating to not have one to hold a phone. The design of your Vista Trekking pants cargo pockets is perfect, with an ample size and secure zipper. Yet the camp pants have a flattering narrower leg, pull on style, and come in more colors than the trekking pants.

The fabric is great, very soft and breathable. But it is not able to be altered, so these have to fit PERFECTLY. They are way way too long. Even with the bottom cinched and ballooned over, I could trip over them. Can't shorten them. The waistband is large, loose, not snug enough so they droop down so the crotch gets very baggy. Again, can't take them in to get them to fit right. I was very excited to try these. But they all went back. If they fit you perfectly, then great, I think you'll love them. But you will want to try these on before purchasing.

I really wanted to love these! They are comfortable and functional. However, the fabric is not durable. I wore these on a single backpacking trip and the fabric is pilling on the thighs. I didn't even know this type of fabric could do that. Maybe these are better for lounging.

The pants are not made of sturdy fabric. When they got wetted and I put them in the dryer, they came out very wrinkled. I am afraid to iron them because of the fabric warnings. Otherwise, they fit well and have the features I expected.
