I bought these in a wide because my son has wide feet. His foot wouldn't even fit in the shoes. The tongue is not separate from the shoe and you have a small opening to get your child's foot in the shoe. The small opening makes it very hard for a child with wide feet to get their foot in this shoe. I do not recommend for children with wide feet.

My 10 year old has wide feet so we are big fans of New Balance shoes. He loves these shoes, says they are comfortable and how they fasten. We also bought the same shoe is blue, which is a nice bright blue. He has trouble with laces so until he can master that these will be our go to shoe! :)

My son has the Shrek foot so it’s sometimes a struggle. These are perfect and he loves the lace dial.

Great fit. Used these as a 'speed shoe' for a triathlon. Great support.

Really easy to get on and off. Fits my kiddo well!

Love, love the way they fasten with the button you push in and pull out. My child has a disability. Grew weary of velcro fastener wearing out way too fast.

my son told his friends "he has drip", and has been wanting the dial laces since he saw them last school year, but didn't have his size.

These are my son’s favorite sneakers. He loves that there are no laces to tie. Wears them every day and they look cool.

This is the shoe of choice for our grandson. He doesn’t like laces and loves the side wheel to tighten and loosen.

These were forms 8yo son who wears a 6.5W (hard to find). He said they were very comfortable and pretty unique design. We didn't end up keeping out of concern if the string were to break... it's not like replacing a shoelace! He also said that once tightened, the top of the foot didn't always lay flat.

My son wears a 4. These are a 4.5 and he couldn't even get them on his feet. :-( Sadly returning. He really wanted these!
