I used to LOVE the smart wool bras and I hiked the Appalachian Trail in one. It was so comfortable. I got this new design to replace that bra and it's band is so tight. Here's the kicker I thought maybe I should use this as motivation to work out so it fits better. I LOST 15 POUNDS and this bra STILL hurts!! i only wear it for the hour at the gym and that's about all I can handle. Definitely would not wear on a big hike again.

Almost everything is perfect with this bra, but a big con is the smell of chemicals (maybe dyes?) that it has. It is nauseating. I recommend that you wash before wearing with borax and laundry booster to get rid of the odor. Still, it won't go away. I got it on sale, and I washed it, I'm not sure I can even return it. Worst thing? I got two: one in this style and the other in a similar style. Both have the same problem. :(
Good thing: it's true to size (at 5'4" 118 lb), and it looks durable. Also, it is perfect for yoga, everyday activities, and hiking. It keeps everything in place. LOL.

I initially loved this bra but after a few hours I realized it was chafing under my arms (too tight around the armpit but fit well otherwise - not too tight around rib cage or bust).

I ordered this sports bra in a larger size thinking it would fit better ( not fold over or ride up), but was disappointed.

For the first while it's a great sports bra, comfy and supportive and can be worn a lot without smelling or needing to be washed. But. It stretches out a LOT and becomes completely unsupportive. I've gone through at least 5 of them, and for how expensive they are, they really should last longer than they do. It's not getting holes or anything but it completely loses its support. I included a picture of 2 of the same bra, same size, bought about a year or so apart and you can see how much it has stretched. I'd want this issue fixed, or lower prices if I have to replace it every year

I was looking for something less restrictive. Soft fabric and would be great for compression.

Ordered M. Just too small: binds around arms, neck, pushes breasts together. I'm a 36" bust but I guess I need a large. Also shows around the neck on all my T-shirts.

This bra was amazing at first but over 1-2 wears I started noticing a terrible smell after and during workouts and hikes. Yes I live in a humid climate but this bra is advertised to resist odor and it does not. I unfortunately have to change into a different bra after every hike run or workout or I will be wearing a drenched bra. I'm thinking this bra is better for winter conditions but we will see. I bought 4 of them because I liked them at first. It would be nice if smartwool could provide some care instructions for removing stink from their garments. Maybe it's the tencel blend? Maybe it's my deodorant getting on the fabric?

I sized up per recommendations, and it's a little too large. I sent the largest size back. This was my first foray into wool and I expected it to be more wicking than it wasI still felt cold due to boob sweat once I cooled off & had to change post workout. I hate removable padding but the Smartwool bras were the only wool bras I could find with padding. I appreciate the padding, it just doesn't stay put. This has enough "hold" for yoga, hiking, etc, but I wouldn't run or do HIIT workouts without a supportive workout tank adding support. In a dream world, I'd love to see a truly wicking version with straps between this and the strappy option with sewn in padding.

Not super happy with the longer version of this bra as it rolls up a lot. Hoping the original length will continue to be available.

I had high hopes for this. The material felt good but it was WAY too small. I bought a size larger than usual based on the size chart and the reviews but it was much too small. I'm not sure even an XL would fit. I'm quite disappointed

I bought this to work out in. Previously. I bought a medium Smartwool bra which I wear hiking and I assumed this would be the same fit. It is not and so I left it in the closet. I just tried it again and there's no way I can wear this item. I paid full price for it and I don't understand how the sizing can be so different from the Merino Smartwool bra.

Runs very small. I'm a size small in everything Smartwool but this was way too small.

According to sizing, the medium should have worked but I could barely get it on and (worse) back off again. If the larger sizes still were available, I would try again because I love Smartwool products but I would skip large and go to XL. Returning!

Because it someone said it runs small. I ordered a large and I'm not a big person and it is still too stinking tight. I'm normally an A cup with a 36" band. The large is cutting off my circulation.

I've been wearing Smartwool bras and underwear for years and absolutely love them. Went to stock up again and super disappointed in the new Intraknit line. No longer is there are 70-80% wool content, now it's barely 30%. You can definitely feel the difference, the material is no longer as soft nor wicking. The whole point of Smartwool is WOOL, not nylon! Please bring back the real deal.

This used to be the only bra I would wear backpacking! Since they've changed the design, it's incredibly tight and uncomfortable under my arms, even after sizing up. :(

I wear a 36C. Bought a L and XL. Couldn't get the L on! Got the XL on, took out the pad inserts, and was still too tight. Need an XXL?? I'm NOT a big person!

too hard to put on & size does not reflect the xtra-lg. tag. (I am 5' tall & 138 lbs)

I wanted to love this bra, but actually can't even stand to wear it for more than a few hours. The band hits at a weird spot, like 3 inches below where a bra band should be, so there's a weird gap underneath the boobs. It is not supportive AT ALL, like it is actively smashing my breasts downward... which sounds like it is too tight, but is not too tight at all. The racerback behind my neck keeps creeping up, while the front slides lower and lower. I could see this maybe being ok for someone who has small breasts and wants more of a cami feel, than actual support, but if you need any kind of support I would avoid. I am a 36C, 150lbs and 5'8". Typically wear a large (which I bought).

NOT WOOL. I was expecting a higher value of wool. Thats the point. Sizing is horrible. Im a size 10 and the large was like an XS

I was very pleased to find this smartwool bra. I bought a size up,Lrg vs Med according to the size chart provided.
Unfortunately, the bra was so small I could barely get it on/off. Also, there is no consideration for cup size.
This may work for a very small size woman but otherwise it is extremely tight.
Returning.
