Very attractive and functional. Hasn't been tested in really cold weather yet, . I just hope the Bangladeshi that made it was properly compensated.

Waiting for cold weather

I have close to 2 dozen winter coats and jackets, leather, wool and puffy varieties. I have been wearing this LL Bean coat for about 3 weeks in the NE Ohio weather, 30's and 40's. So far I would rate this coat the best ever. It keeps you COMFORTABLE outdoors and you do not overheat when you walk indoors. I have worn the hood several times in nasty weather and there were no problems. I prefer the button hood to the zipper. Yes, this is really a nice coat.

I love this coat. I had to exchange the Regular Size L for a Tall to get better coverage on my wrists, and it's perfect. It's so light and warm and doesn't hinder any mobility. The green is an awesome color too.

Gave my husband this coat for Christmas. He loves it. It's warm, longer length, good color(he got green) and puffy. Only drawback is the back middle snap on the hood, keeps coming undone. Other than that, it's a great coat. He's worn it everyday since Christmas.

Great coat. Really love this coat. It's three-quarter length which makes a big difference for someone who suffers from being cold. I Enthusiastically recommend this jacket anyone who lives in a colder climate, in my case in New England.

I bought this coat for a trip to Qubec from my native Texas. When I left Dallas the temperature was 70. In Qubec it was 15. The coat was light enough to easily carry onto the plane, and make a decent pillow. Yet it was warm enough to defeat a Canadian December. It needs inside pockets. And the double zipper can be hard to get started. But those are minor complaints for a superior product.

Incredibly comfortable jacket. It's true to size and is extremely warm. It's lightweight which worried me at first but it performs well in very cold temperatures with an average base layer. The pockets have both a zip and snap side which was a pleasant surprise as well. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase. My only criticism would be that the actual material would be very susceptible to rips as it's very thin.

It seemed warm and well made, but it was a bit big for me. I had the smallest size, so it wouldn't work for me. LL Bean is great with returns, so overall it was a positive experience.

I bought this coat for my boyfriend and he absolutely loves it. He works in Coney Island and outdoors a lot he was able to wear short sleeve shirt underneath his coat in 35 degree weather I love it

I usually don't write reviews, but I'm so impressed with the quality I feel I need to write this. I bought this coat two months ago. It's the best coat I ever had. I'm 5'6" 180 pounds I ordered the large. Fits perfectly, super warm. I recommend this for anyone that needs a high quality and warm coat.

Because of warmer weather I have had only one opportunity to wear the coat. Sitting by the campfire with a cup of coffee - and a new grandson. Very pleased. Good weight, comfortable fit and warm as advertised. Good purchase - as usual from Bean.

Perfect coat for visiting our daughter and son-in-law in Minneapolis. A bit too warm for our California weather but perfect for Minnesota winters.

I bought this for my husband who is working in the Boston Harbor and it keeps him warm all day. Wind, rain and sea mist don't stand a chance against the warmth and comfort of this coat. The water just beads right off. This coat is worth every penny and I would recommend this 100 times over!!

Husband loves this parka! Bought the tall and the length gives good coverage - almost to the bottom of his derriere. He has a long torso. Great for this Wisconsin winter which has started already. Coat is very warm - don't have to layer it. Pleased with the navy color and feel of the material.

I bought this coat for my husband and he really likes it. Room enough for sweat jacket. He says that it is comfortable, not bulky and warm. Although not as warm as his LLBean down jacket from 20 years ago that his is replacing.

Despite it's relatively light weight, this parka provides excellent warmth. I was comfortable walking through Chicago's Loop this week in 20-degree weather without an underlying fleece or sweater. Other reviewers have commented that the hood is unwieldy but it seems fine to me.

My twins love their new coats and are keeping warm at university!! Highly recommend having the longer length on this coat along with a hood that covers neck and mouth.
