Wear it all the time,fits and wears well, very warm and easy care. I'm a long time LLBean fan.

I've used this sweater two hunting seasons now and have been able to use it as my outer layer during two years of Kansas Christmas Pheasant Hunts (28-45 F) as well as on the clay range. It has been warm and flexible, allowing an easy gun swing. Fit is generous enough as an outer layer. This is definitely a working sweater and if you're looking for an "urban outdoorsman" look, you might need to look elsewhere because it, thankfully doesn't have that fit!

I purchased this sweater for myself and I'm very happy I did. This sweater exceeds my expectations as a sweater for casual wear (wore to church for Christmas Eve) as well as for outdoor activities. Planning to wear it elk hunting next year in the Cascades of Washington state. Well made, comfortable, heavy and tight knit. I loved my "wooley pully" sweater as a Marine and this sweater will be better as my go to for staying warm with the rest of my gear. Color of choice was loden....good color.

Wearing a six year old one now, broken in, "daily driver".Layers nicely over long sleeve cotton tee or merino base layer. Zippered high collar keeps cold November drizzle from running down your back. Still performs as intended, warm and comfortable. Have a newer one as well.

Not much else to say. It is especially well-made and very heavy. I will definitely be ordering a few more. It is very comfortable and it looks great. Buy wool - forget fleece.

I recently purchased this sweater for my brother. He is hard on his clothes. This sweater is a tight knitted wool with a heft to it. It is good for cold weather and can be worn well over several layers (tee shirt,Henley,flannel shirt) without looking bulky. It has not been washed yet. I cannot attest to how it will hold up after washing as per instructions. It does the job it is meant to do, while holding its shape throughout the day. The navy looks good with almost anything. While it is not fitted, it is not baggy either. I purchased his usual size which is S Regular. He is 5'9'' and is slender.

I purchased this item plus 2 others... a plaid flannel shirt and a quarter zip fitness fleece as a gift for my son. He loves all items for the fit, quality and look.

Bought 1 for myself for Christmas and loved it so much I bought another. The color was not as shown on the light gray (Sable?) maybe - looks light gray online but in reality it was more of a light rust color. Not great but it was so comfortable and warm I decided to keep it. Took a chance on a second one, the green one, and that was exactly like the picture shown. I wear them all the time. Very soft wool, very warm and I know the quality is there so it will last for years. Kind of on the expensive side but I will easily get 10+ years out of these things. For fit - I got a large. I am 6'0", 215 and wear a 44 long jacket and the large was absolutely perfect.

I bought this sweater for my husband for his birthday, and it's safe to say that it was an unqualified success! The fit is exactly right, the sweater is well made with heavy weight wool. This is one of those sweaters that will last many, many years.

Style meets warmth! An excellent sweater that provides the warmth of a jacket in a stylish manner. Perfect for 50-60 degree days. Fit is true to the sizing chart, LT is a perfect fit for 6'1" male. My new go to sweater for cool AZ evenings!

I use this sweater primarily for waterfowling and other outdoor activities and it is great. Thick, warm and durable with room for movement if you wear a shirt or base layer underneath. I highly recommend it.

This is the third waterfowl sweater I have purchased for my partner - he wears them to death, no easy feat. They look smart and I love how they lined the neck with soft fabric to minimize itch.

I purchased this wool sweater for my husband; ordered 2xl Tall and it fit perfectly. It is hard to find a wool sweater in Tall sizes so I was very pleased to find it at LL Bean. Recommend this sweater to future buyers.

I bought this sweater for a gift for my Dad and he LOVED it. I mean he was delighted. I got him the blue one and it looked great on him. It's a very nice sweater and I think a bargain for the price. We were a happy family this year for Christmas!

I sent this sweater to my brand new son-in-law for his birthday. It fit so perfectly (size medium for a medium size guy), he looked like an LL Bean ad! Very happy with fit and warmth of this sweater for someone who lives and is active around Portland OR. Would recommend to anyone. Makes a perfect gift. Sorry, I don't know how to rotate the photo

I always like my LL Bean apparel but this is even better than expected.

I've had my eye on this sweater for literally a year (or more). Finally grabbed one during a recent sale in the "sable" color. It looks sharp with the darker piping and collar lining; the microsuede means no chafing/pilling from stubble and a comfortable feeling - the wool itself isn't scratchy either, with just a T-shirt underneath. Easily warm enough in 40F weather with just a thin leather coat to break the wind. The XL size (what I normally get) is quite roomy, yet doesn't look "too big." Overall length and sleeves are ample; consider a large. You can easily wear a collared shirt under it. So glad I finally got one; it likely won't be my last, either.

I initially ordered the commando sweater but it was a little too small/tight in the torso at Large Tall (I'm 6'00, 210 lbs, have a bit of gut). That was slightly fitted so I decided to try a Large Tall Waterfowl sweater since it is traditional fit. Perfect fit. I've only worn it once since it's only October but it seems like a winner. Very well made, good fit, comfortable, looks good.

This sweater is one of several that I have purchased, and this new sweater is a perfect fit at XXL since I'm a big guy. This sweater also is very fashionable and even Though I haven't worn it out in public yet I'm sure I will receive all the great comments as usual.

I purchased two of these to take to Ireland on vacation in early March. They did not disappoint. We had all the weather you could think of including hurricane force winds on the cliffs of moher. I stayed warm and dry in the foulest weather. 80 mph winds did get through the wool, but that's the exception. Well made.

this sweater has the look and feel of something that i will enjoy wearing for decades. comfort and range of motion for my outdoor activities.
