Most comfortable shoes/boots I have ever worn. Tons of support where needed. I will definitely be buying more. I wear them for my work boots in sand/mountains, nothing better.

I've been loving these shoes! I'm not a trail runner by any means. I've been wearing Saucony shoes since 2011 when I saw the elite runners at Grandma's Marathon wearing them. I have the same body type, especially high arches, so Saucony has been my go to shoe. I was so excited that you guys came out with a gortex boot! I work landscaping and handyman gigs so this shoe is perfect for walking in wet grass all day! I do wish I went a size smaller cuz I wear thin socks, my feet burn in thick socks. I'll figure out a way to tie em tighter so I can wear them all summer. I you have any mens's size 8 laying around, send em my way! :)

After a month, I am still very happy. These boots have saucony's expected comfort and usefulness for hiking and running. Also, the ankle support for hiking in elevation change is very good.

We own a farm. Given all the work, if I were to twist an ankle, that would be bad. Real bad. The support around my ankle on my trail runs is great and comforting. It doesn't interfere with my ankle movement at all. I love these shoes and will no doubt purchase them again.

I've been wearing these shoes for two months. I bought them primarily for trail running. I run single track trails full of rocks, roots, hills, and rock face. Bought them to replace my speed goat 2 mids. The ultra ridge is far superior to the speed goat, primarily in Fit because I have a high instep. I also like the fact that they are lower to the ground. I feel that I have more control, especially when navigating a really rocky area.. The traction is excellent on the wet leaves, mud and wet rock faces. The cushioning is good and I like the open eyelets at the top 2. They allow easy off and on. The higher ankle height provides excellent ankle support, and I haven't rolled my ankle once since I've been wearing them. They are also surprisingly lightweight. My only request is to get some better colors. I will definitely be buying these again.

I use this as a turf softball shoe, this is a super comfortable show and superior grip on short grass and turf surfaces. Highly recommend

I'm gonna be straight up. I have not worn my new pair of Ultra Ridge GTX. I bought them because the pair I'm wearing now are the best boots I own. Now, when they wear out, and who knows when that will be, I have a pair ready to take their place. I do farm work. Mud. Stumps. Snakes. Rocks. Goats. Pigs. Vines. Brush. Sand. Gravel. You name it, I'm in it up to my elbows. I have tried just about every major boot brand, spent a lot of money on every kind of work boot I can find, but I only wear the Ultra Ridges now. Waterproof in the winter and summer. Great support on feel and ankles. Lightweight and tough as crap. Can y'all make these is a house slipper, too? The ones I wear on the farm are too gross to wear inside the house, and they are so comfortable, I'd love to have a house pair. Oh, wait, I got my new ones!!!!!!

Water proof and comfortable. I've read people's complaints about them not being warm but with the proper socks I found them to be good and we had sub freezing temps for about a week.

Love love love my new shoes. Best trail shoes ever!! I hope they aren't coming apart on the left shoe, right at the ball of the foot. Looks like the glue is letting go but no water has come in yet!! I wanted to buy another pair cause the support on the sides of hills, jumping creeks and running hills has been great. The absolute best my ankle has felt in a shoe!! I hardly wear my work boots anymore!! When ya find something great .. ya want another pair !

Bought these as I have wide feet and planter fasciitis. Hiked 15-20 miles over 5 days over rocky terrain. These shoes were amazing. Very comfortable. I wore them out of the box, no need to break in and they were the only shoes I brought. Feet felt great the entire time. Highly recommend.

I normally end up with heavy hiking boots with double socks. These are so comfortable I am able to switch it up with a lightweight boot that's lighter than most of my shoes and lightweight socks.

Saucony has invented a new class of shoe. A hybrid best of both worlds. With the cushion and lightness of a supershoe and the stability of a rigid high-top hiker, they perform superior in nearly every way to a classic hiking boot. I took these 22 miles round trip to summit Mt. Whitney, and was so happy with my choice. Great cushion. Great stability. Great ankle support. The only complaint, and it's a major one, is when putting too much pressure on the outside heel of the shoe something in the upper really digs into my foot. Fix that and this is the perfect shoe. These shoes appear somewhat similar to the Speedgoat, but the Speedgoat offers less cushion and no real ankle support.

Got them for upcoming trip to Ireland and Scotland and the wet weather and craggy trails. Based on performance of my past Saucony trail shoes these should be great - and they look pretty good too!

I wear these every other day. I switch with a pair of HOKA trail runners. I am an ex-runner due to hip replacement but still want comfort and performance out of my footwear as I'm on my feet every day. These are very good quality shoes! Will buy again

I just wore these on a grass surface for a softball tournament- super traction and light and comfortable- add a small soft layer outer sock liner and you have slippers with cleats !!

This is by far the most comfortable shoe I've ever bought. I get compliments every time I wear them out. Been a Saucony customer for years now and I have to say this is the best so far. I'm extremely happy with them and they're worth every penny. My feet thank you!!!

Initial fit and comfort were good walking around at home. But quickly noticed 2 downsides: 1) the upper is very lightweight canvas-like material with thin plastic trim and eyelet reinforcement. Does not look durable in function or appearance. 2) The sole tread is more like multiple cleats than a hiking boot tread. Not much surface on the ground; good for mud and snow, but not much else. Speaking of snow, there's not much insulation for warmth. Returned these shoes to Saucony without problem or shipping fee.

Great concept - but this needs to be refined. I purchased a pair but returned them, I so wanted to have this. PROS: the midsole and the sole, 5 stars. CONS: too much bulky fluffy unstructured foam especially in the upper cuff, the gusseted tongue makes it difficult to get the boot on or off, the deep notch on the cuff, needs another set of eyelets to lace up. The biggest issue is the bulky soft foam of the upper. Looking forward to the second iteration.

Got these for my shoulder conditions backpacking boot this year. Love the Xodus platform as my go to trail runner and thought the concept of building a light weight boot on that shoe might be exactly what I'm looking for. Everything I like about the Ridge is from the ankle down and is derivative of the Xodus. It's stable, roomy toe box, good ground feel but with the necessary protection. Outsole is meh but that's also true of the Xodus. From the ankle up, it's clear that this is Saucony's first attempt at a hiking boot. The materials are bulky and not well used. The collar is ok but lacks any real support. The tongue and the way it ties into the goretex lining is horrid. Like unusable. I heavily modified mine to make it work. I'm still excited about this offering because the good is so so good. Please keep working on everything from the ankle up, especially how the tongue and gortex lining toe together to eliminate bulk and hot spots.
