Comfortable, windproof and plenty of pockets, they're fine down to about 14 degrees C.

So far, these shorts are great. Lots of pockets, they are very light & I love the integrated belt. If they were 2 inches longer they would be perfect.

Took them backpack camping, hiking during a total downpour, and around town. My favorite pair of shorts. Nice to have zips on the pockets, the thigh pocket is nice if you don't want to sit on your wallet. Dries well, belt rolls bit but not a deal breaker. Just waiting for inventory to buy at least one more pair.

These shorts are ideal for hiking, light weight, great fit and lots of pockets. I recently traveled overseas and they were perfect, given the varied weather conditions. I am 66yrs 5' 10" 170lb and would definitely recommend them.

Had a beige pair for some 2years now. These are my go-to shorts for all occasions and served me really well on a recent 12-day trip across northern Italy in an unusually hot weather. The x5 zipped pockets carry gear well, the built-in belt means you don't need a separate belt that you need to remove at airport security and the material enables you to hand wash and dry overnight. Did I mention I also have these in the pants too? Don't hesitate, just grab a pair (as long as they're in stock. I want a black pair of shorts but they've been out of stock for ages)

I got this a few months ago and I worn them climbing, hiking, and traveling. They have been exceptional in every occasion. The flexibility makes them feel like gym shorts but still retain a more put together look. And the pockets are super useful without being extremely noticeable like cargo shorts. I got them in another color just because they are so nice.

I bought my first pair 6 mos. ago and have since bought 2 more to last me the next 10 years. Not cheap, but a successor to the original Palisade shorts I've been living in. Light and breathable, slim styling and with sufficient zipped pockets for everything you should want to carry. Well done Arcteryx, you hit this one out of the park.

These shorts remind me of the Palisades shorts that Arc'teryx used to carry. They are great looking shorts for around town but also function very well for long walks and hiking in the local mountains. I would not recommend them for jumping in the ocean but they are not meant for that. For ocean endeavors I use the Aptin shorts which also function well for tennis. In the past, if you've liked the Palisades these shorts compare well with them.

I have just purchased so cannot comment on their robustness or longevity. The sizing was spot on for me at a 30" waist. My initial thoughts are that they're a quality item with lovely details, like all Arc'teryx products. The zippers and popper button on the fly, feel very good quality and expensive. The material is lovely in that it's very light but also feels strong. I'm not keen on mesh pockets as they feel cheap and insecure. Glueing the bottom of the mesh thigh pockets to the inside lower leg fabric seems like a corner cutting exercise and it'll be interesting to see how they last. The fact that the thigh pockets are not deep enough for a modern smartphone is a real shame. Despite these issues, I'd still recommend them for hiking and everyday wear, if you can stomach the very serious price tag or find them in a sale somewhere.

Great shorts like my older lefdoys but a little thicker. But more importantly I'd really like to see some Boardies from Arc'teryx. So many other companies have gone out and Arc should get into the water Sport market as well. I'll wear boardies for everything from biking to running and casual. Side leg pocket a must and tie string outside to allow waist adjustments please!

Very practical and as expected. Waist 32 accurate and length good for 5'5". I wanted them quite long. The blue is a pleasant understated colour. One star removed for over-pricing only. The built in belt and slanted thigh pockets are great.

I love my Gamma LT (old version) in size XL. Those fit beautifully and was hoping to find the same thing in a short for the warmer weather. This material feels a little thinner (to be expected with the Quick Dry) but my issue was the fit. The sizing was changed to numbers instead of letters and the largest size is now 38, instead of XL. I typically wear a 38 in most brands, though some brands may be a bit snug. These were VERY tight through the thighs. I'm quite disappointed they no longer come in a size larger.

Cargo pockets are too short. Iphone 13 Pro will not fit vertically. Horizontally place phone does not work! They fit vertically in the 11" and all Palisade shorts I own. Please fix it (there is plenty of fabric). I returned 9" for 11" specifically for taller pockets. 11" just a bit too long for my height. Also not digging all the name changes of the existing products. I've been using Arcteryx for 24 years these products have been all over the world with me.

I like the zippered pockets though it seems there was no consideration as to how the leg ones can handle a cellphone. And why is there no pocket on the left, rear side? There were some good thoughts in designing these though not enough. I'm disappointed.

I bought two pairs a few months ago to replace my older and much loved previous version of the same shorts. I am deeply disappointed in the design change of the lower front pocket. It is now an interior of mesh-net that is glued at the bottom, and completely useless to hold an iPhone, car keys, or anything you care about losing. The previous version had lower pocket interiors made of the same material as the shorts, and the bottom was stitched to the pant leg. It made for a very reliable pocket to carry most anything that matched the size of the pocket. A great and useful design. The new version has mesh pockets upper and lower -- therefore no reliable pockets anywhere. Mesh pockets wear out quickly and develop holes for things to drop out, and the glued bottom seam is a horrible design that cannot even endure the weight of a smart phone. My two pairs of new shorts no longer provide pockets for me to carry a phone or anything else that I fear will drop through the holes. Very regrettable change.
